I've always loved that white warg of his. Like with "Lord of the Rings" the orcs were the best and in "The Hobbit" the orcs are still awesome. Even though Azog and Bolg were computer animated they were awesome characters.
Why didnt Thorin just end Azog once he cut his hand off? It was such an easy finish off to Azog, thats what I hate the most in movies. He couldve easily killed Azog while he was kneeling.
Skring Say Near the end of the hand cutting scene just before he gets dragged away, you can see two orcs rushing to protect Azog, so Thorin would’ve had to fight them
fighting is tiring, especially given the weakened state Thorin was in after being thrown around by Azog. He wouldn't have had the strength to get to Azog and kill him before the other orcs got there.
Man, I would have liked to see Azog survive. Have his 'death' at the river, but he breaks out and finds his dead son at the bottom. Would have been kinda interesting to see him break a bit, having more to fight for than just his pride and his arm.
Azog was so tough. Ready and willing to go another round with the Dwarves a century and a half after being beheaded by Dain. Most warriors never really recover from a beheading.
@@hsurge0273 Yes he was. I believe you may have to go the appendix of Return Of The King to find it, but Azog slew his father Nain at the Battle Of Azanulbizar. Dain sprang forward, not yet an adult, and ended him.
@@kurtwpg no he wasnt beheaded lmao the dwarf king was beheaded by azog and then thorin cut of half of azogs arm then the orks retreated azog out of the battle and he survived. If azog was beheaded he wouldnt have been alive lmfao

The rivalry between Thorin and Azog is similar to the rivalry between Obi Wan and Darth Maul, Here is why. Both rivalries started the same as Qui Gon plays the same part as Thorin’s Grandfather did, they both got killed by the villain (Azog) (Darth Maul) and Thorin and obi wan both wanted revenge and they got it by “killing them” but like in both stories, they both survived with Thorin and Obi Wan not knowing, that’s why both were incredibly shocked to see them still alive. If I remember correctly both Obi Wan and Thorin said “It can’t be” when they saw them after they thought they killed them years ago. Also both Obi Wan and Thorin lost the battle of when there enemy returned, both actually kind of got destroyed. And also both final battles were similar, as Thorin kills Azog, and Obi Wan Kills Darth Maul, the only difference is that Thorin also dies
Ok, I know this was all about Thorin and Azog, but it absolutely kills me that it left out that magnificent clip where Bilbo saves Thorin just before the Eagles arrive. It really should have been included.
When you see a Freaking Horrible Looking Orc with One Hand under the ice, you don't follow him 😖. You run away 🏃to find land. And how the heck Azog jumped like a dolphin 🐬 from under the water? The arm of his must be like a fin or something.. 🤔
5:35 so a creature twice your size charges at you on top of an animal moving full speed and hits you in the chest with all it's strength with a HUGE iron warhammer... I don't care how good your dwarvish armor is, you're dead. That blow easily crushes all of the bones in your rib cage. That's an instant death! But yeah. it's the Hobbit. I shouldn't expect much more...
Bro Dwarves are built like a tank. They may seem very small but they are hella strong and hella durable; you see Gimli easily managing to one shot a giant bear sized wolf with his axe or, like most dwarves do, taking down far stronger, faster and bigger mfers (elves, Uruk hai, trolls) than him. Real life science doesn't applies in Tolkien's world.
And apparently; it was Dain "son of Nain" Ironfoot who killed Azog on the steps of Moria! But Peter Jackson needed a Bad Guy (n Billy Conelly's Dain doesn't turn up till nearly the end of the film)! 🤔
@@bloodhound4741 Given that we'll all be peddling rickshaws around because they've banned cars you're going to look like a rageroider wobbling about on top of a bicycle.
Each single LOTR book of the trilogy is significantly longer in pages (text and words) than the one Hobbit book. It's ridiculous that they turned The Hobbit into three movies. Two movies absolutely should have sufficed. Peter Jackson, who spent two years in New Zealand preparing and prepping for LOTR, was unexpectedly thrust into the director's role again for the Hobbit after Guillermo del Toro backed out. It was done entirely on the fly. He directed this with the same careless, meandering style as King Kong. The fight scenes just drag on and on. When you have a battle scene that lasts over an hour, it's not exciting... it's nauseating.
i watching this movie when i was 9 years old for the first time, in that night i can sleep because the hobbit has something that like a horor vibes. especially in when azog cut of thorin's dad head. sorry for my bad eng
If Azog wasn’t killed in the hobbit He would comman Sauron army in the lord of the rings movies And if orcs from the hobbit and lord of the rings orcs Team up and Azog leads them to war No one in middle earth would be safe and the eagles wouldn’t stand a chance against the nazgual
