Omg that red mage around 30 minutes was insane. On one level I truly admire someone who has the patience to take a game to the bitter end. If I'm gonna play a control deck then I do deserve to earn my wins, but COME ON MAN!!! HE'S GOT THREE SHARKNADOS!!! Edit: I'm definitely taking this for a spin tonight. It's everything I love in a control deck.
I'm pretty sure these are all recorded before that coaching session. Whenever his mythic grind series ends, that's when the teaching will go into effect.
Strixhaven Stadium singlehandedly turns Alrund's Epiphany into a win con. The birds alone and having tapped the mana stone a couple times previously is pretty strong. If you're already planning to bounce with Fable into Epiphany, that's game even from 0 counters on your Stadium. 1 from tapping it for Fable, +4 from the 3 Knights swinging and tapping it again for Epiphany, +5 from your birds and Knights attacking again. I don't know how much you feel like a mana stone helps your deck or not, but just something to think about.
I've been playing magic for so long that I can't remember... But I've learnt a LOT with u, CGB... and I'm still trying to learn the perfect timing to play the instants spells like you have.. Blue/White/Shark deck is my favorite of all time, i love artifact colorless deck but it sux nowdays in standard... Thank you so much for your videos and perfecft timing gameplay. I'm here with u everyday, bro. Regards from Brazil PS: I've added Dream Trawler to your deck, runs smooooooth
hey CGB!😎 in german shark typhoon is called "haifun" (hai is the german word for shark). i know you love shark typhoon, could you call it "haifuuuunn" for fun?!🤓😂
Switched in Kiora for the Shark Typhoon, idk over the long run if it's better, but it feels great to just steal a planeswalker after countering for the past 15 turns
It's a nice thought, but it means your deck needs a magecraft payoff (creature), enchantments and artifacts for Banish Into Fable, and more instants and sorceries for magecraft. Too much going on. Maybe could be Jeskai making treasures with prismari cards, and the lorehold draw 5 from your graveyard
i've been thinking about a Banish Into Fable - Magecraft deck. Maybe Esper with Lily? I'm glad to see you shining some light on this card again, i think it has new legs.
also mystic reflections (blue copy a creature or planeswalker from kaldheim for 1U) works with Banish Into Fable so you could in theory pay 7 mana instead of 6 (if you foretold the thing earlier) and get 3 copies of.. something. MR goes on the stack last and I think you can still bounce whatever you target after. Bounce their Goldspan and you get 3 dragons

To be fair it isn't that bad rn. I've been having loads of fun (and reasonable success) with UW enchantments control which can really take over the game with Archon of suns grace and Niko Aris
@@barney3444 i played that for a while, and was successfull until you get into a certain win percentage and then "the shuffler is fine" and " the match maker is fine happens" and i got into a spiral of defeat after defeat.
@@barney3444 man it is sad. I went from 15 victories out of 20 matches to 10 defeats in a row in wich no matter how hard you try, all odds are aganist you. I would like to say i wish it didn t happen to you, but eventualy it happens to everyone.
I love CGB now refers to Elite Spellbinder is to just simply "Paulo." I know that yesterday's video was recorded after this one, BUT I'm going to presume that CGB and PVDDR had already talked at least once (as content creators.. maybe friends).. BTW, I'm not a control mage (but I might try this at some point.. I think because I like to torture myself trying to play decks that are too hard for me to navigate)
I thought this was a little silly with the Yorion/80 cards, because there isn't much value for Yorion and I don't like adding 20 cards and removing consistency for such potentially small returns. But then I tried to tweak it down to 60 cards and the deck sucked. So, when you're right you're right!
@52:09 your opponent makes a mistake. He blocks the token with the 2/2 dog, he should have sac'd a 1/1 dog to save the 2/2 dog and still kill your token
I confess to watching your channel for some time now but only just subscribe after watching this video. Azorius control for life hash tag banish into fable.
@CGB Are these '1200 Mythic Push' videos recorded before the end of the season? I don't understand how you make Mythic rank in 48 hours. PS cool videos :-) Yorion #1
@@bendeguzronai4568 The real truth is the reason esper (and bant and grixis) are unplayable as control archtypes is they didn't get triomes. It's just very very hard to play any 3 color control pile without a triome :(
@@MyBesso That is very true. My mana bases are ridicoulously bad. I don't have the wildcards to craft the pathways, so I run temples and the lifegain taplands. It's way too slow and irritating.
CGB decided it was time for a Test of talents. He locked himself in a Glass Casket and began reading his mazemind tome in preparation. The casket became a temple of enlightenment upon glimpsing freedom and his new found power was to banish the mono red scourge to fable. YOOORRRRIIIOOONNN!
Are there any desirable mage craft effects that could really benifit from the copying and spells in this deck I wonder. I'm not familiar with the new set enough to know for sure but I'm interested into those possibilities

Hi, can you explain why you play this decks with Yorion when you say you don't really need for the bounce? I thought that less cards is always better, so than 60 would be better than 80, but you are a much better player than me, so I must be missing something
As a online Pokémon Tcg player, watching this makes my brain feel scrambled. So much going on, no idea what’s happening. Looks more mature than good ol Pokémon.
The thing with how ladder at mythic works is you not only need to win games but you also need to win them relatively fast or people that win faster simply outpace you and always get ranked higher. Only saving grace these days is that the meta as such is relatively slow.

Ended up dropping the snow lands and swapping Lore for a Thassa's Intervention. It's passable. What's made me really happy with the no-snow version is exchanging the Glacial Floodplains for two Jwari Disruption and two Emeria's Call. Super entertaining deck overall! It's been a nice change of pace.
Probably far too late but you can click on share, copy the link and then paste that link into your browser. You can copy and paste from the browser version of RU-vid.
