Great play through guys, always check your channel if I’m thinking of getting a new game. Just got this version as I can’t find the original where I live in Gran Canaria. I did order the original but it never got delivered! Interesting to see you thought the Summer Pavilions was more involved/ better. Going to play this one soon thanks to you great work. Cheers
Hi Glenn. Thank you very much for your comment. We're delighted to hear that our videos are helpful to you. Sorry to hear that you didn't receive your Azul package... that is very disappointing. I hope you were able to get a refund for it! I like Stained Glass of Sintra too, but Summer Pavilion is my favourite. It is fairly simple and easy to learn, but you can get some great combos, and then getting the bonus tiles adds a whole new dimension. The wild tiles also make it a bit more difficult for other players to block you from getting the colours you need. Still though, you can't go wrong with any of the Azuls. Stained Glass is probably the most difficult of the 3 Azuls to win, and the most strategic. The position of your glazier is very important and sometimes just resetting him is better than grabbing tiles if it saves you from picking up a load of tiles you can't place. Deciding which order to try to complete your windows is another important factor to maximise points! Please let us know what you think when you play it!
Thank you again SIrbrastias for your comment. We love playing boardgames and we have played quite a lot over the last few years. I have loved them since I was a young kid, and Glai got into them a couple of years ago. We both think Azul Summer Pavilion is the best of the three Azuls. I think it is much deeper than the other two and the design is fantastic. Looks great and plays great. In order, I would say 1 - Summer Pavilion, 2 - Azul (original) and 3 - Stained Glass, though I still really like Stained Glass too. Summer Pavilion just took the series to a whole new level
I dont think you remembered to add the total tiles left on your playing strips to your total. The minus broken glass points were tied so it wouldnt affect the score.
