I love Azula as much as I’m concerned for her mental state, but we can all agree that her and Zuko deserved so much better during their childhood and in the comics after the show 💀😭
Yeah definitely, that’s why I’m both nervous and excited for Azula’a new comic coming out. I heard they’re trying to start up her redemption arc and I hope they do it right, Zuko’s was amazing but between the two of them Azula is gonna be much harder to redeem than Zuko.
@@Puko_Sweet As someone who knows what happened in the comics and the way they just THREW AWAY HER REDEMPTION ARC AND TURNED HER INTO AN EVEN CRAZIER CHILD-KIDNAPPER, how tf are they going to redeem her after that whole shitfest 😭 Nah bc we and Azula both deserve a proper arc with mainly Zuko, Ursa, Iroh, Mai, & Ty Lee, and istg if they mess it up again I’ll just continue sticking to the fandom’s creations 💀
@@Mood_12345 Yeah I feel that, I never read the comics but from watching a few videos about I get what you mean. I really hope they know what they're doing because this can either be an amazing comeback story for the ages or and absolute flop like that one villain from Korra ( I forgot her name), from what I've heard I see some potential but you never know...
@@Puko_Sweet I hope so too lmao. But until then, I’l just stick to the fanfictions 🗿 Bc the amount of world-building lore and and plot that the writers have been able to create is just amazing to the point it’s as if the comics never existed in the first place 🫠💖
She didn’t just put Aang in a coma when she shot him with lightning, she straight up killed him. His friend had magic water to bring him back but he actually died which is crazy to me
If you die in the avatar state youre cut off from all past lives - aang is shot with lightning but is still able to activate the avatar state and communicate with prior states. Korra is the one to give up the avatar past lives and the avatar state to save the world and spirit world.
Keep in mind that throughout this entire series, Azula was 14 and while both siblings are messed up, Zuko ain't even as messed up as Azula, but they're both messed up and the reason for that is mostly because of their parents. Both parents showed favouritism towards a child. Ozai showed favouritism towards Azula, always showering her with praise for her skills at firebending and always disappointed with Zuko for being 2nd to Azula in firebending skill and ruthlessness, she was a prodigy that spent majority of time being around her evil father and grandfather, while their mother showed favouritism towards Zuko for being less bloodthirsty and psychopathic and more compassionate than his sister and because he wasn't a prodigy his father and grandfather basically saw him as a disappointment, he spent majority of his time being around his mother. When you think about it, at one point Azula wanted her mother's love, but instead got her father's pride and admiration and no real love from her mother or even her father, while Zuko wanted his fathers acknowledgement, but got his mother's love and no fatherly bond. Azula's personality is the product of her father's ruthless judgement and her mother's disappointment and concern towards her, while Zuko's personality is the product of his mother's teachings that he had almost forgotten and the lack of acknowledgement from his father that he craved. Azula is the perfect example of a child neglected by both parents on an emotional level and for that both parents failed at being parents.
She’s 14?! Now that I think about it, she is the younger sister. I never thought about it and always just saw her as 15-16 but that doesn’t make sense, huh……….
@@Azuredock7912 That's why Zuko was annoyed by her calling him Zuzu all the time. It's like saying "You might be the older brother but I'm the owner of the house". She even told him once in his face "You will never reach my potential, Zuzu".
Ozai: Jeez, what do you want, Azula? A promotion?? Azula: A promo, a promo, a promotion!? Ozai: Uh, sure, kid, you're firelord. Azula: Gasp! Firelord..?? Ozai: Ugh, glad that's over...
Avatar is an animated series, which are generally higher quality in storyline/story telling and character development. Cartoons are more goofy, one dimensional and not serious in tone. Anime is just animation from the Japanese.

1) Azula with Mei - not only does she suggest that Tom Tom shouldn’t be traded as a hostage basically saying eh let him die, meis Uncle is the Warden of Boiling Rock and is held hostage by Aang and the gang. And each time her family is threatened Azula disregards them and says let them die. I think Mei’s whole you’d kill my family you’d kill my boyfriends your own brother - you’re insane. 2) the fire lord position is NOTHING - in Ozai’s speech to her he says she will be crowned fire lord have HIS TITLE because she is subservient- not because as per tradition she is the strongest fire bender with the ideals of the nation and protection of her own people. /// Ozai says ya sure you can be fire lord who cares IM GONNA BE THE EMPEROR OF THE WORLD and all 4 nations. Soooooo what’s the point of being a fire lord if your job is to be the puppet leader like in Ba Sing Se with the Earth King? She knows and states that the king has no power that he does nothing and makes no changes or appearances he sits in the castle from his birth to his death doing nothing but given the title of Lord. She recognizes that by following her father and the belief in divine blood rights of the first born that she is destined for the position of fire lord and is expected to be the best firelord after her father. Yet he clearly implies that she has NO POWER she is weak and she is below him never on his level and that the job position isn’t even a promotion because it’s a step up to nothing it’s a meaningless title when there’s a greater emperor and all other lords have been defeated. She will be isolated and locked in the temples until her death never allowed to suggest anything participate in anything or even use her fire bending for the nation - she is died going into battle and told to just sit pretty. Her mental collapse is because of her adoration for her father/bloodline/power/divinity is met with the reality that it will never give her happiness or true purpose. She will never be allowed to lead the country as she wills because she has no power or authority under her fathers reign as Emperor of Everything. So who is she what is her purpose why is it that when she feels betrayed by her father she can only think of running to her mother for comfort but realizing that she’s never going to be there for her and that her mother was treated the same way as herself subservient to Ozais will/demands/commands. The fact she believes her mother only ever saw her as a monster too similar to Ozai and never listening to her mothers teachings or wisdom makes it so she feels completely disconnected from everyone. She’s isolated is not respected and all her efforts amounted to 0 recognition or acceptance. As a child she needed to be the best to be loved by her father the most important man to her, but even at her best as a teen-adult she will never be loved not by anyone around her not by her father not by the world or even loved by herself… She suffers the same issues ALL the cast faced:: what is my purpose in life who am I and how do I feel happy being just myself - and how does that love for oneself and what one does turn to then becoming the best version one could imagine for themselves and that would bring the world joy? She doesn’t feel self love or love from others, she doesn’t have purpose, she doesn’t have hope, she is fearful of what happens when she makes a mistake or err at every single step - and she turns that fear she has inside to everyone around her making them as terrified of her as they are of life in general. She only relates through fear and control. And at the end of the series she is terrified and has lost her sense of control and direction in life. Pleasing her father and getting his love and recognition is unachievable- she feels there’s nothing else to life with meaning. That neither of her parents wanted her or ever loved her or ever looked forward to the person she would become. She has nothing and can’t express any of her pain or emotion or sadness until she’s captured restrained and begins screaming and crying from losing and being proven wrong.

Are you related to an Alex Junior? Bro on the left looking like the big brother of this guy Junior, that I'm talking about. You got a lil bro named Alex?😂
Damm bruh how u save up the money to buy all 3 seasons of avatar u must of feel a real connection to the anime! .. i have rewatch the show like 20 times n have seen countless of reactions to every episode
No disrespect, but I think bro bought the bootleg😅. I did the same thing tbh (similar culture) 😂. Not as expensive as the Official box set but as a lil kid in the "3rd world" it cost *bread*
Azula was not only crazy, but selfish as well. We can learn from this character that being selfish never leads up to something good, just like the war and environmental impacts that are happening right now.
