5:31 As many of you in the comments have pointed out, on 1/21/21 ( media.discordapp.net/attachments/643696707288301571/813819103822217236/EsLR-3eVcAAVjhx.png ) there was an update to add a switch feature (media.discordapp.net/attachments/643696707288301571/813819145573105664/Screenshot_4.png ) that you can use in the bottom left corner to switch between multiple stacked zones.
You can actually get to the different versions of the zones by clicking the 4 blinking cubes in the left bittom corner, there you can choose where to go.
You can actually enter zones with the gold chest/stonghold/siren without doing the fractured sea section. You just click on it, instead of clicking the enter zone option, there is 4 squares on the bottom left side of the tab. Click that and you get several options(I believe the Explorable, Secure, etc.)
With regards to Siren strongholds, you don't need to actually fight the guard fleet at the entrance to a stronghold: position a fleet on the tile just outside the doorway, put your prefered boss fleet on the guarding fleet and retreat: voila, you're inside the strong hold and can fight the boss directly.
Been doing this since december, I thought it was intuitive and turns out a lot of ppl are not doing it that's why I'm so confused as to why people need to have a mob fleet for strongholds. You only need to fight 6 boss battles :D
Siren Strongholds aren't really the hardest part of OP Siren, R6 Abyssal Zones bosses are much harder as unlike the strongholds, you can't get out of the zone to heal (This excluding the new monthly boss fight which didn't exist back when this video was published so that doesn't count).
@Azur Lane Meta, Please be aware that based off my experience defeating those hidden fleets restores the resolve of ALL Fleets, not just the one who did the fighting. I could be wrong, but that is what I have done in the past to reuse my main boss fleets that had timed out. I used my main mob fleet to kill one of them, reuse my boss fleets and then clear the second mob to get another 2 hits on the siren. I don't know if that is still true, or if they have changed it in the last patch. Thanks for all the info though, love your channel. Edit: I just retested it, after engaging the Siren with my 3 high level fleets, I was able to remove the exhaustion debuff from those 3 fleets by attacking one of the wing fleets with my Mob Fleet. Hope this is helpful.
You can actually stack more than 3 Strongholds, but only 3 can actually show up in the map at the same time. If you have, say, 4 Strongholds stacked, as soon as you defeat one of the 3 spawned strongholds, the 4th one will immediately spawn. I know this since i did exactly that in january, only really felt i was able to clear them at the end of the month, so i endep up with a situation where i could fight more than 5 strongholds in a row
I've always wondered what those lighthouse things were, until this video. I always scanned as soon as I entered a zone so I never knew what their use was as they never seemed to have any noticeable effect after activation. Other than that, the rest of the video was old info for me since I've been grinding OpS for a while now. Still a good guide for the inexperienced. Something I'd like to add as well is use up all the repair kits and AP crates as much as you can since you most likely won't run out of them. They get deleted on every reset so it'd be a waste to not use them
Ya I did have to spend a month grinding OS myself to learn myself before making a guide. So those super active in OS since Day 1 may not learn too much. Although I hope small tidbits like the lighthouse thing can be found even for those that are experienced.
The Weak Points in Abyssal Zones are not a chance, they always pop up after the boss hits ~70-75% (not sure of the exact spot). In Siren Strongholds, the Siren who attacks your bases spawns after the third capture.
A couple wrong points like the comments had pointed out. You cant be blocked by extra zone over quest zon3, just click the bottom left square n pick the wrong zone per map. Unlimited retreat in OS, stronghold only takes six fights for max drop if you retreat against ambush n mob. Same with obscure, retreat till you fight rally spawn or completely blocked off. There COULD be initial boss type siren spawned in obscured and it does provide better drop.
Thanks for your thoughts. 1 - Yes since this script was written there was an update adding that feature. I've made a pinned comment to amend this. 2 - Yes only Abyssal Zones prevent reentry after retreat. 3 - Pretty sure I mentioned not fighting the mobs and just going straight to the rally point or strongholds. But if that wasn't clear, yes only fight the bosses in those 2 zones to max drops/time.
I am still new to operation siren and i just realised i was being an idiot with my daily meta coordinate points. As i had many zones not reset for the loot chests as i didnt realise until today that you needed to deal with all the fleets in these zones after you claimed the chests for the loot to respawn once you return to that zone. Ive had almost 10 zones not cleared because i assumed the loot respawns daily as opposed to clearing the zone and returning to it.
One tip I have is that the game sometime bugs out in abyssal zones when you retreat your fleet. Tldr if a mob or trap fleet is blocking an entrance to one of the zones, sometimes when you engage them and then press retreat, the game will place your fleet into the zone instead of outside it. You can do this most of the time to avoid fighting the mob fleet all together.
I just got level 60 and first time entering OS Hmmm my aim is to get to and defeat the Arbiter by end of this month! Few hours into OS, ok w/e I just chill and do as much as possible [edit] one of the best OS introductory guides I've seen! super awesome
Just to point out, since the most recent update, only Abyssal zones (and of course cats) can drop UR Gun BPs (yeah, no Strongholds for some stupid reason). So technically Abyssal > Strongholds > Obscured and other missions (at least by rewards is concern). Thanks for the video ALM.
You're incorrect in that you cannot access the zone underneath and obscured zone. You can press the little button with the 4 squares to access other versions of the map.
META: Video YoStar in 25/2 patchnotes: Going to change the colorcodes per zone in Operation Siren 7:20 Catpaws DO appear in Obscured Zones, it's just that one RNG element (the cross pillars) spawn with 2 hidden catpaws. This way it's possible to have up to 6 catpaws in one obscured zone. If that happens, tons of loot. But it's fairly rare. 9:25 According to the sinking description (that cannot be actually seen ingame) it also lowers stats by 60%. Though I have no idea if that's actually the case, or they reworked that into the low morale feature instead. Though my ships do seem to sink much faster if damaged than can just be explained by simply having no skills. It's pretty hard to test this though, so it's hard to make any definitive conclusions on this :(
@@AzurLaneMeta Whoops, totally forgot to answer. /sharecfg/world_slgbuff_data.lua has it. It reads "This ship has recently suffered fatal damage. TRP, ASW, AVI, AA, and EVA are reduced by 60%. This status can be removed by repairing at a harbor or through the Fleet Deployment command." Although it's code-section also includes FP. I have no idea if it's used at all, but I find my ships that are damaged but otherwise unchanged (no low morale debuff) get hit a lot more than just their skill-loss should warant. Is this something, or massive placebo-effect on me? I have no clue...
So is there a way to leave a stronghold map? I thought I'd try my luck (i only have 1 lvl 120 fleet) went in but my main clearing fleet is separated from all the others, i cant see a way out of the map? Am i just stuck here? Or am i missing something? Sorry if this a potentially stupid question to some
@@AzurLaneMeta thanks heaps man I found it, there were rocks like everywhere so I couldn't get to the edge except in one tiny corner I had already gone through(🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️)...anyway I feel incredibly stupid sorry for troubling you with this hahaha I think I might go headbutt a bus on my way to work today.
@@AzurLaneMeta Oh shoot. My apologies for the error there. I should have said 15:35 instead. (there your fleet moves over to a siren to engage, then it appears you skipped the actual fight and went right to the post-fight rewards. Or maybe it was just good editing work?) :)
Something else that you said that is factually incorrect is that you can only save up to 3 Strongholds. You get 2 at the start of reset, then 1 for every other weekly. You can only ever have 3 active at a time, but you don't lose 4th and up. I didn't do my Strongholds until the last week of February, and i could do 5 of them. 2 Base and 3 weekly resets. So yeah, no need to force yourself to slog through them before hitting your 188+ Adaptabilities.
We can enter the red ports but they don't provide any services (yet) coz we are doing Azur Lane's campaign right now. Maybe in the future when it's Crimson Axis's story we can do the usual port activities in them
Ya at this time red ports are useless until further notice. I guess sometimes missions to save the ports will exist there, but that is not special to those ports, that could happen in any zone. Speculation that once the red center opens up, they will have a purpose, that for now that is unknown.
i didn't know about the adaptability caps. my plan was to get as high as possible before trying a stronghold again but i'm already far over the cap. the last time i entered was a waste of 200 ap. i guess, my time is better used farming 6-1 for purple plates for now.
There are no caps on adaptability. Only on the bonuses they give. So in theory you can get 500, but your bonuses will remain -30%/-30%/0%. So if the enemy stat levels increase past 144/144/144, the higher adaptability is needed.
@@AzurLaneMeta i'm a bit confused now. are you talking about hypthetical more difficult future content? you said in the video that 188/188/144 caps the bonuses. this is also what i see in my game with ~230/230/200 adaptability. what i was trying to say earlier was basically, that i'm too weak. i though, i could outscale the strongholds with more adaptability, because i didn't know that the debuffs capped.
ALM: "The siren that appears is pretty weak comparatively". O.o In comparison to what? The so called Siren Intruder is one of the strongest enemies this game has to offer. Lv124 + light amor + high vanguard damage. :D Btw. do you know how to get promoted pawn kills for stars?
@@hassathunter2464 So it is not possible to get all stars in 2 months? I have read that they will reset the star progress every 2 months. This would mean that it is impossible to get them all.
No it does not appear possible to get all the stars in 2 months. Promoted pawns are time gated by reset. The in game instructions still says that stars will reset every other cycle (month), but at this point that is largely regarding as a mistranslation (I think that would be weird and annoying if stars reset on Mar1st).
@@AzurLaneMeta That would be sad. The clearing rewards are lackluster so I hoped to get them multiple times at least. :( Anyways: Thank you very much for yours answer.
I just beat a stronghold relying on 2 fleets. I am thinking should I challenge abyssal zone or not because I healed 7 times in port during stronghold clear. 8 days left to reset. FYI I capped out 200k damage against meta boss so I'm really concerned
I do, but it was made before the hidden CV mechaninc (and Shinano existed), so it is a little dated. The fleets in the composition will 100% still clear all the content though. Otherwise if you watch my more recent streams about Operation Siren (such as the reset one), you will see the compositions I personally use to fast clear through OS.
@@Retoweeb I've been clearing siren strongholds before reset..I could just click the edge before and that make me leave..now after the reset I can't leave.
Yes 110 should be able to struggle through it. You'll probably need a lot of heals after every fight. And meta fleet comps will be more important to follow.
Thank u very much......i been trying killing the boss n already twice using regroup n rest with sub attcking it but man....really shouldnt enter the stronghold bfore those 3 modul hit 200+
So much to take in . . . . guess this is what I get for not keeping up with it. . . only have Iris, Regia Marina and USN fleets leveled so hopefuully thats enough. . . not a fan of IJN : /
Really? I've not for a month got missions in more than 2 ports in a day. Maybe they are carrying over from multiple days (I've always done my daily missions).
