Good guide. Just 1 note. For the monitor - the french gun is not the best choise. The Tashkent gun is the only DD gun in the game that can 1 shot a kamakaze. The french one just leaves it a low HP and still hits. I experimented on those for months. For the Tashkent gun , there is even a nice tactic to make more money. Go to 7-2. You take Nevada/Oklahoma at lvl 1 and you give her gold gun (doesnt matter which one and doesnt need upgrade - just the 45 FP), the tashkent gun and 2 Black shells (they give most FP). What you need is FP above 200 , this way the gun can 1 shot a kamakze even with the ship at lvl 1. Then just get a good vangaurd (the US are the best because of Main Gun +1 and DD sec). The torp CLs are bad auto-clear. With this rase the BB to lvl 35 and sell it for 300 coin and 30 oil (it goes to lvl35 very fast). I'm doing them at batches of 10 or 20. The lvl 35 is important because comman BBs cost 4 oil (same as monitor) until lvl 35 , then they cost 5 oil.
Big thanks., this taught me a lot as a relatively new player. I have been working my way through your "Quick and Dirty" series and I have learned a lot. There is so much the game does not clearly explain, but the AL community and content creators have done a good job answering questions I didn't even realize I had.

Funniest shit, got Laffey, Javelin and Z23, gave them all the Blue Autoloader+6 and Repair Kit+6 I had alongside a set of +3 Twin 100MM Type 98 High Angle Guns, +6 553mm Quadruple Magnetic Torpedo Mounts, Quadruple 40MM Bofors AA Gun Mount +6... since I finally updated their loadouts to that, my mission clear time went form 119 seconds to around 19 seconds... all three are setup with 2 retrofits away from complete retrofitting, and all three are 4star 3 Limit Breaks... Meanwhile I upgrade Turpitz (Got her from a random banner pull, decided to put the IronBlood Firepower Heavy capacities to use and she has been my Fleet 1 Flagship ever since... unless I need more Healing then I add Arizona, alongside Akashi, while keeping Neptune in both parties... Honestly for those using F2P, 2 I recommend is Neptune (Guild Shop is a most of the time gain) since she heals the fleet (if I remember correctly when her skill is maxed it should be around) 6% which combined with Repair Boxes, (something I rec farming to outfit EVERY vanguard and Main fleet with 1... 2 if you can spare the gear space), should give you around 10% healing on the battlefield... and if you are running the turn missions like Siren and Events, then it heals you a bit per turn (least it did for me, but that might just be something I never noticed much). Another is Akashi, tap her 30 times in the shop, boom free healer ship... after doing her questline... roughly 21 days for the questline, but she is one of the best healers... Also question is Indiana (the one with the glowing figure behind her that sends out the star rain follow up waves) better as a flagship or side ship for the main fleet?
Question, if anyone else feels like answering... Was Sims the first ship you got during the forced Tutorial Mode Construction? if so, than is she the Guaranteed ship that is given?
I also use Shiranui and Cygnet for hard mode requirements. I've also got the two common Eagle battleships leveled to 110ish, not sure if they are a good idea.
Should I not be using Neveda over Erebus? Neveda is cheaper oil and is tankier than Erebus right? (disregard my comment, mowtow90 answered it for me lol.)
@@Kimocheese I mean obviously we can use whatever we want, free country and all that but the point of posting these videos is to help new players to find efficient fleet setups for what respective content they might be doing. So was I was simply asking about efficiency and you didn't mention anything about Neveda or Oklahoma for oil cost in the video, just only as an example for leveling her up. I'm still learning and still make mistakes in azur lane, so I thought maybe I was doing something wrong.
@@tricky2795 I'm using Neveda at level 15 right now in 8-4 due to a suggestion from mowtow90, his comment has disappeared but I remember what he said. Use Tashkent gun, 2 black shells to get your FP over 200 and Neveda can 1 shot suicide boats. I manage to complete 8-4 with Nevada and Mainz (the ship I want to level). So I'm suppose to use her for 7-2 like mowtow90 said (his comment is gone) but I'm testing 8-4 right now and so far 1 successful auto clear. Of course I have a different fleet for the flagship spawn. Almost forgot to mention the vanguard has to be strong too.
