I waited for another Dragonflight Beta build to see if there is any new music included. Couldn't see any. I am hopeful that Azure Span music is complete and this is a definitive video. Initially I wanted to make a 100% positive music video, but there are some tracks which I should have completely ignored (Tundra and Gnoll). In the end, I've decided to include only a few tracks from there, the most tranquil ones. Did you enjoy this video? I need your help in order to continue my work. Give it a like, listen to more (playlist links below), subscribe. Do you want to further support my work? Details in the video description. *Related:* NEW Dragonflight playlist (to be updated): tiny.cc/df50xy All World of Warcraft music & ambience playlist: tiny.cc/zti5wy Livestream with Music & Ambience: ru-vid.comlive With love, Meisio
The beginning track took me right back to Grizzly Hills. Here’s to hoping this expansion is just as good as Wotlk! Have a great day and as always - thank you for all that you do for your community. Take care!
Hopium, yes :) Let's hope it will be different. P.S.: My heart hurts a bit when I'm listening to the first track. I mix of feelings, I can't say exactly why.
@@Meisio aren't we all a bit Scottish or something? With mixed feelings about it, just like it should be wherever you're from. (Maybe I'm remembering Scottish music wrong tho xD should find/revisit more of it, been some time.) Fun(?!?) completely random fact: Jeremy Soule was "cancelled" after being accused of ...certain stuff, and probably won't make more OSTs. Found out last night when I revisited old Harry Potter vg OSTs.
@@hawkstrike18 huh, interesting and disappointing. he was being talked about on meisio's stream this week, people were wondering why he wasn't on this OST
@@MeekoBear808 he had been on almost every game's OST, lolz. Well, I'm not entirely sure where I stand on cancel culture('s extreme sides), but I definitely see why one shouldn't be welcomed in projects after crossing (many) lines, marketing reasons aside🤮. If he's done it. Similar arguments were raised here (I'm not American) with some actors and a TV presenter (etc, but they won't uncover other famous ppl because it affects our conservative overlords and religious figures) the last years, and I heard a talk on the radio last week with the topics: "should an artist be separated from his work /what if a talented person is nuts n an a-hole or criminal, should we continue appreciating anything related to him"? Tbh it's complicated stuff but I think it generally depends - when something is real art (define that easily tho) and not something lesser like some shallow comedy or show, you're bound to want to feel/listen to it again so it's harder to forget... then it depends on the reasons, crimes/violence n cancerous behaviors are heavier than whatever else one may be "cancelled" from (I don't know much on the subject, maybe it's always due to actions similar to the ones implied above, and accusations... and it gets more complicated from here because you cannot know all data of each case, so imo it's best to avoid the less obvious cases and not be absolute ...in general too, but especially when you just can't know key details and who is lying). And there are always many other factors (sellouts n trollish/degenerate/corrupt "artists" n figures should be boycotted but it rarely happens, and I could bring up names but meh), I wrote too much already tho so I cba to mention more even tho I like controversial discussions and clearing things up when I can.
You find a quiet spot. just chilling in Azure Span enjoying the lovely Grizzly Hills vibe, birds singing, lovely orchestral with a lovely little bit of folk violin and then BAM!! "YOU DARE TO STEAL FROM MY CRUCIBLE!!??"
I don't play anymore, but I listen to this music and it makes me hope that everyone I used to play with back in Vanilla and TBC have found happiness, success, love and are all enjoying life wherever they may be.
This is easily one of the best zones ever created. It’s so immersive, so thematical, so beautifully designed. I am totally okay with getting fewer zones if they’re on this level of epicness.
Anyone else get some form of saddening nostalgia from hearing the music? I’m explaining it to a friend now, it’s so weird. I actually love the zone. Probably the best zone ever created in wow. Just can’t get past that trigger.
Yeah, A feeling of cozyness felt during childhood now in the distant past, I lost my parents few years ago and the music of the azure span just hits me with the same feelings because of that.
i get that! like the person above me said, the blue dragonflight quest is all about reuniting family, so maybe they created the azure span soundtrack to evoke that feeling of nostalgia. when i first entered the zone & was greeted with the music, i immediately felt right at home, for some reason. actually, i feel that way with almost all of the dragon isles soundtrack. i'll always treasure that feeling :) i hope you do too, if it brings you that same comfort it does me
it reminds me of 11 years ago, me playing on private wotlk server- jobless, with no plans for future but going back every day to rp with my guild and travel around those were empty, yet so full days wish i could have experience of fun time with friends like then, alas only one person still have contact with but those times were good
My Beast Mastery Hunter is based on a D&D character who loves nothing more than a peaceful life of fishing, cooking, and relaxing. Needless to say, he is parked in Azure Span at max level, letting everyone else save the world while he helps the Iskaara cook their stew
Such a cool zone, best zone in dragon isles. They clearly do this zone for giving Grizzly Hills vibes which some of the best zones (and music) of all warcraft universe
Man oh man. Played through this zone and it has really impressed me with its beauty and size. There is so much to see and explore. The music is beautiful and soothing. Could this be Wow's best zone? At least top 5 for me... Nice job again ❤️
this is my dnd groups theme music! every session when the DM does a recap of our last session we turn this on, it is a perfect ambiance and the music is seriously beautiful.
I decided after many years to work on my archeology to try for the Ultramarine Battle Tank mount again, and went to Pandaria to do the Mantid method for the crates. First thing I did when I got to the Dread Wastes was come here for Azure Spans music and ambiance. This is the most calming music and made it my absolute favorite. Keeps me focused and happy 😇
you can tell blizz knew exactly what they were doing with this zone, and the music. even the colors, i would not be suprised if this zone was in tthe same area as grizzly hills and howling fjord prior to the sundering. so far, the dragon isles remind one a lot of the better parts of northrend
The music in this area really sounds great! It's a mixture of lots of good things: the music is sublime, the visuals are beautiful and give a sense of tranquility, the area is reminiscent of Grizzly Hills which brings a nostalgic touch, and above all it's something again that we necessarily want to discover. Nostalgia, novelty, beauty, this is why this area gives a feeling of well-being and at the same time a slight twinge in the heart. Unbelievable.
Good video, thanks! Based on the music, I almost feel like whereas Northrend's Grizzly Hills was more based on Scandinavian folk lore, the Azure Span feels a bit more inspired by the Old West and North America. There's just something about the music. If you listen closely, it almost sounds like something you'd hear in Dances With Wolves.
Kinda wanted to give this a quick listen and move on in the playlist but I've been replaying it for close to 4 hours now. I love all the NPC and ambient sounds a lot here, feels kinda like I'm there myself, and also like i have wow running in the background waiting for a dungeon or bg to pop up. There were some really beautiful moment here that catch my attention and make me stop my work to focus on the, especially 6:20 and 12:23
I especially like Three-Falls Lookout (10:59). I would even say it gets close to Totems of the Grizzlemaw for me, but then Totems is a tough one to beat.
If you listen to the soundtrack played during the lich king fight on the frozen throne you can hear subtle hints of the same sounding choir in the back when in the azure archive. I think they did this to reference what happened to Sindragosa. Almost like a ghost from the past returning.
This looks so beautiful, and the music is so soothing! Such a breath of fresh air after Shadowlands, which was beautiful in appearance and in music, but it just didn’t evoke any emotion in me at all. Glad to feel something warm and fuzzy for WoW again. 😊 Thank you for your amazing work, as always, Meisio! ❤
Amazing how WoW looks nowadays compared to when it first released. The game looked so good when it came out. Crazy to think it's maintained its popularity 20 years later and looks as good as ever.
Next to Nexus and the Coldarra this zone is one of my favorites. Always been a hugebfan of both the Blue and Green Flights. Great ambience as usual in your videos 🎉❤
I don’t see a lot of people talking about the big tree hills/brackenhide brambles, seriously my favorite music out of the entire dragon flight soundtrack
I'm just waiting for everyone to start making instrumental covers of these songs. Like 3:52 would sound absolutely amazing played live on a violin. Or a piano cover 🤘
I usually don't listen to OSTs before the game comes out as I consider it a spoiler in a sense, but I wasn't feeling much excitement for the expansion until now. Can't wait to Azeroth again :)
Well done Meisio, good compilation, beautiful shots. Really feeling Grizzly Hills vibes. Another thing: The RP chat in the livestream (on video) freezes very frequently for hours and is out of sync with the interactive RU-vid chat box, do you know what causes it?
Camp Nowhere would have been so cool if it was fleshed out more. I actually got really into the human wizard and his blood elf friend, and the rust pine bears. Why didn’t they do more with this area?
@@Meisio trash is everywhere, we've filled the oceans and mountain peaks and parliaments with it. How wouldn't have filled the world of warcraft too??? Trash fo sur Donald trash, Liz trash, etc It's just in fashion
