I have been buying all of our grains, oats, sugar, flour, and basically 50% or more of our groceries from Azure. I have never had a problem with even one product.

After buying both of those same cheeses from Azure for the past 2 years, I have learned a few things. The Raw cheddar will stay for months in your fridge without spoiling. I cut the amount that I need and then wrap the exposed side with saran wrap and put it back in the fridge. I just keep cutting off what I need when I need it. The organic Mozzarella however, will start molding after a few week after opening it so I wouldn't recommend keeping that one in your fridge long after opening. Freezing that one is a must if it will take some time to go through, in my opinion. That is just my experience, but i have seen others validate this as well. Something to consider if you have limited room in your freezer or want the taste and texture of fresh cheddar! Glad you found Azure! I have been very happy with them.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip, I was thinking I might want to keep about 1/3 of the cheddar in the fridge for fresh eating. The mozzarella is fine to be shredded and frozen, since we pretty much use that in baking/cooking items. I am so happy to hear that the cheddar lasts a bit longer! Yay!

I am a first time Azure customer. I just bought a 25 pound bag of bread flour, a cooling rack, a couple of gallon size jars and lids, a five gallon bucket with the gamma seal lid, a five pound bag of rolled oats, and a five pound bag of allergen free chocolate chips. We like chocolate chips, but we have to have them dairy free and soya free. I figured out that with the amount of bread I have to make to get my family through a week, I will be going through the 25 lbs. bag in a month or less. I have to make a four loaf batch of bread at one time, but I already had to make more yesterday because we were down to our last loaf. I am new to making my own bread. I got an excellent bread recipe from Ruthanne Zimmerman's channel. I have gotten excellent results with it both times I made it. So I will be flying through 25 lbs of flour.

I've started freezing things in "by use" size. So, after shredding the cheese, package in amounts that you'll need for each pizza night. Another option we really like is to use resealable Food Saver bags. They are heavy duty ziptop bags with a valve for vacuum sealing. We have a little hand held sealer, but most vacuum sealers have an attachment that does the same. To clean, we just turn them inside out and wash. We've yet to have one fail. We now rarely use one-use bags, and almost never have freezer burn.

Cool cool!! Maybe it’s just me, but I would never mix old grains with new ones like you did with the Khorasan. I like to make sure I use up my old grains prior to adding new ones to the bucket.

I understand that thought, and typically I would be the same with other products, but I go through the grain so quickly, and when I refill my smaller container, I mix it all around. Grains have a super long shelf life, so that's good. But, thanks for the tip! :)

Grains have shelf life of many many years I would not worry about mixing. I’m using one bought 25 years ago! Best breads ever from it. Was store properly cool dry dark.

I have loved getting wheat berries from Azure. I have only ever gotten the Azure brand khorasan and have loved it. The only kind I absolutely would not recommend getting from them is their spelt. I got it a couple of different times, and both times they smelled of mold. I had someone on Facebook mention that this has to do with the hulking process. So I will never buy spelt from them again. But I get every other kind of wheat berry from them.

I’ve only gotten my spelt from Azure never ever an issue. Love all their grains and their prices! Shipping from other places eat you alive. I use spelt weekly have some I’ve bought a few years ago still perfect love the flavor of spelt and hard red together!

Thank you so much for mentioning that y bought khornasan wheat berries from Azure. I quickly added it to next month's order. My drop is this Friday and I have soft white wheat berries, cheese, and A2A2 powdered milk. I have replaced my coffee cream the A2A2 powdered milk. I have been buying my grains from Azure fot over 6 months and have always been pleased with the quality. Thanks so much for sharing your Azure order. 😊I also ordered the cosmic crisp apples too

I pick up my order next week. Yes, I got the notice they were already out of butter that I ordered. I ordered a lot of cheese this round as well. Thanks for the tip on the sour cream, I will have to put that on my list.

I got khorasan wheat berries in my last order and it was lovely!!! I've always gotten the Kamut before and I didn't notice any difference between the two. I love my Azure Standard drop days!!! Always so fun and exhilarating!!! I go to two different drops regularly depending on when my payday happens in correlation with the drop date!! Both are great and not too far apart!!! The one gets two drops a month so it makes it very convenient! Brightest Blessings 💜

I got their Khorasan in my April order (25#) and it’s is very clean except maybe 10 (per cup) kernels have the sheath or hull on it. Not picking them out, just grind them in and bakes up fine but was just a little disappointed. Price was great considering the minute shipping cost to IN. Love your videos.

Awesome haul we also had a haul pick up today in IL as well, except last month our refrigerated items did not come refrigerated and had spoiled which was very odd. However, azure has a great customer service and they accommodated us I guess sometimes things happen that’s out of their control and that’s ok we still love ordering from them. Thanks for suggesting the crinkle cut fries and the chocolate chips Will definitely try those 😊 enjoy your haul

Thank you so much! Yes, that is strange, both my pickups the back of the semi was refrigerated, and the front small compartment was frozen. Everything was very cold in the back. I wonder if they had a malfunction in the truck or something. I am happy to hear they accommodated you! That's great to here, there can be mishaps with every company, it's all in how they handle it I think.

We love Azure! Been with them about six months. Our drop is once per month. Love the Nancy products! Dry bulk pantry goods also excellent. This time we added potatoes. Can’t get decent ones locally anymore. Will add the Apples to our order that closes today. Also… Azure doesn’t use Apeel!! We refuse to buy food sprayed with shelf-stabilizing chemicals, especially when they don’t work! Thanks for sharing your haul. Safe travels ❤

Whenever we are in the area, we will try to stop in. It's not necessarily the closest grocery store to where we typically stay, but it has so much variety! And, bonus it was very close to the Azure pickup location, so we hit 2 birds with 1 stone! 😉

I grew up on a farm in the 1960’s and 1970’s working on a farm planting, harvesting and storing wheat grain. Wheat was never referred to as berries. Wheat is a grain as defined by the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary, WHEAT, noun [G.] A plant of the genus Triticum, and the seed of the plant, which furnishes a white flour for bread, and next to rice, is the grain most generally used by the human race. Of this grain the varieties are numerous, as red wheat white wheat bald wheat bearded wheat winter wheat summer wheat etc.

Could you explain a1 vs a2 dairy. How to determine this at the store?

Most cows in the US produce the A1 protein in their milk naturally, but some cows have been bread specifically to only carry A2 protein. This A2 protein has been found to not bother people who have lactose sensitivity, it doesn't work for a true milk allergy. But, it has been great for us. I will post a link to the milk we have been able to find at most grocery stores, and they also explain a little more about the a2 protein. a2milk.com/

That is what I am thinking maybe. I mean, with the amount of products going out, sure it will have things here and there that could be an issue. But, that is with any company. As a whole I have been very happy so far! (But, I guess I am only 2 orders in, lol)

Do you make kefir? I recently began and I have seen videos where people make yogurt and cream cheese with it. Could probably do sour cream. All Very healthy.

We did do Kombucha for awhile, but it got difficult with travel days, etc. So, we don't anymore. We tried Kefir, but it was not a favorite in our house. It is not for everyone! Some people prefer spelt or Einkorn. That's ok, that is why it is so great that there are so many options out there!

@@GrainsInSmallPlaces I have some on hand so I took your advise and am using it some sour dough bread right now. I pray it comes out well. I am still very new to bread baking with and then to switch to fresh milled flour so it is definitely a learning curve for me. Thanks for sharing.
