No kidding. I really wasn't sure what to expect. Haven't seen them since the 80s. Live, in person, they are really, really good. Awesome. This was an abbreviated show because of the fireworks schedule, but after seeing this show imma try very hard to see a full show before this tour is over. 😉
poor Cindy her voice almost has disappear with time passing Kate doesnt lose her wonderful voice loud and clear around the years even so it is wonderful get them still playing one of my favorite 80s songs love them
@@russelllangworthy8855 I heard a clip of hers singing recently and I do have to admit she sounded bad. Some comments said she had been having some voice problems. Do you have any information on that? In my opinion Kate still sounds great
I'll never cease to be amazed at how people ignore musical bands in the States. They are just there drinking and chatting while the freaking B-52s are on stage. Just wow.
@@rickriccardi4741 😊 Unfortunately it's shaped like that. Great state though. I was going to visit in 1990 but there was Hurricane Andrew and I had to be operated on.
Pulse2am has a point. It was a free show, sponsored by the City of FtL. They have a whole day of activities, concluding with a fireworks show. Many people just came upon the show. Lauderdale is pretty good at making these public parties. However, the show started earlier than the official time on the city's July 4th page, so we missed the beginning.😠 It's funny, but to me, I feel like a lot of times American audiences can be so intense; screaming, standing in front of your seat, talking when the singer tries to talk in between songs.. and so on. Sometimes you can't see or hear the show. I have to really want to see a band these days to go to a live show, and just hope for the best. (Jus sayin'...and I'm American.)
@@pauljordan4452 Hurricane Andrew was in 1992. I should know because my ship had to get underway to get out of the way. Andrew Flattened Miami and Homestead.
They do still evoke a time when people actually believed in being more loving to each other. Somehow they've held to that 'Hippie' ethos over the years, come heck or high water. Keith decided to stop touring about 10 years ago, I think. Greg Suran has been the touring lead guitarist since then. Thank you for your comment MonJava. I posted these vids as a lark for friends, thinking the occasional Bs fan might stumble upon them. 20k-ish views later it's still a kick for me that fans are appreciating them. Spread the Love 💖
@@russelllangworthy8855 No. Lol. but thanks. I was born in 1959. I'm a creaky old guy. (Not quite, but almost.) The B-52s first single, Rock Lobster, came out in '78, just after I graduated high school.
i was 16 or 15 when i first heard the B-52's my classmate moved back to Iowa from Huntington Beach California he was the youngest of 13 kids one year younger than me and he was in shape, he was in really really good shape. lol. so were all his brothers and sisters.
One of the most beautiful humans on the planet, inside and out! I got to meet her and party with her in Vegas in 2001! She was so lovely, kind, generous, genuine, funny and intelligent! Love you Kate! We'll meet again! X
They're doing a stand of shows @ the Venetian in Vegas in August. I know that isn't exactly what you meant by the comment, but I'm going to try and go see them again out there.
This is hysterical. Thank you! "Freedom for EVERYbody!" Not sure if saying that is legal in Florida anymore. Lol!! Don't they seem a little gay and open-minded for the place 'Where Woke Goes to Die'?
