I’m was sick that I couldn’t score tix to their ATL show. Then I found out about a week ago that they added two additional shows that I knew nothing about and of course are also now sold out. Now I’ve got one foot in the grave at this point L O L! Have a wonderful time!

Yes, I know what you're saying, tho it's a little complicated. The short answer is that Kenneth Maiuri is the current keyboardist (since 2016). I didn't see him either, but I think it's because I was standing/shooting the vid so far off stage-left. Here's the TL;DR version; - Kate, the 'redhead' always played keyboards (and was de facto bassist using bass synth with her left hand) from the beginning up 'til about 1983. Recording "Whammy," the 3rd full album, Keith decided he didn't want to play drums anymore; he and Ricky (the original guitarist) wanted to play around with synthesizers and drum machines. So they basically recorded that album with those two doing all the instrumentation. Their sound was notably different, but still the B-52s, if you know what I mean. Some people said it sounded more like Devo with the synthesizer sound. I don't remember what they did on tour that time for keyboards but I do remember Keith also playing guitar. While recording the next one, "Bouncing off Satellites" Ricky died of AIDS related complications. It was completed using some session musicians and released, but the band decided to mostly stop working as they grieved his loss. (his sister, Cindy. is the other Front-woman in the band). They weren't going to carry on at all, until four or so years later, they started noodling around again until they decided to record. I remember Keith being the one who convinced them all to give it another go. He'd been best friends with Ricky and said it would help them to heal to start making music again. My impression is he became the band leader/driving force at that time. The album became a full-on produced, bigger, more pop sound, using studio musicians and producers like Don Was and Nile Rogers. That was "Cosmic Thing," which became their biggest hit ever, including 'Love Shack' and 'Roam'. From at least that point onward they always used a touring keyboardist and a touring band with different players. Kate has said she liked the 'freedom' to move around the stage and just sing. I don't think I've ever seen her play keyboards live with the band again since then. She may have but I haven't seen it. It would be interesting if other fans know more. I loved the band in all it's incarnations, but my favorite version was just the original five of them playing and singing everything.
