This is a reference to last video's comments - I think the volume on this video is PERFECT. On my speakers I was able to hear both D-low and the beatboxing in the video cleanly. If you see this d-low, definitely try to keep this balance but read other comments as I am blessed to have a total speaker setup in my room, might sound totally different for headphones.
B-Art has gotten so clean over the years. I’ve always really enjoyed his style, but it has always felt like he’s just a notch or two under what the champ of that tournament needs
I love B-ART's second round routines. It's powerful, always gets the crowd going and the beat is great! Gene's solo was also very impactful, but the battle was crazy!!
I like how D-Low's reaction is so different between elims and battles, since elims require more judging so he seems more serious and focused while battles are all about fun, no points, just the feeling so he is just chilling and getting excited
the more i listen to barts music it always gets better, i could always notice some ideas that are so ahead of the time that i completely didnt notice listening the first time
I am curious. B Art always drops fire beats, but often ends his round with some off and slow beat. Those are as difficult as his drops, I guess, but personally i dont feel thats the best last impression. If you know what I mean
I thought it was a tactical error on Gene's part to pick B-Art to go first. The usual wisdom, I'm sure, is to go last to leave the strongest last impression... but in this case, I think letting B-Art set the energy level and feel of the crowd tilted the contrast between them in B-Art's favor. Instead, I wonder what would've happened if Gene had opened with a much more musical and emotional first round, got everyone kind of subdued and introspective, and then B-Art had to try to bring the energy up after that? I dunno, seems like it would've been worth a shot. Truth is, though, much as I love Gene as a performing artist... B-Art is a beast of a battler, and this was well-won IMO.
I thought about this as well, but B-Art doesn’t care if you go chill before him, he will just go mental; and he’s good enough at it that it will work on the audience. So if Gene had gone first, all he would have achieved is letting B-Art finish up on some ridiculous hype note that would’ve left everyone rooting for him. At least this way, he (theoretically) got to leave the crowd feeling his music to the full.
@@benzenefire Yeah, heheh. B-Art really is a hell of a battler. I feel like he's been getting much more refined lately, filling in some spots where he would've just openly breathed with inward techniques instead.
Your transparency is outstanding...you were already my favorite judge, and the more I learn about your judging process the more you solidify yourself as my favorite.
Personally, I thought gene won, B-art had sick drops, but his flow isn't always solid, he shifts in time a bit too much for me and it kind of ruins a lot of his beats imo, gene was solid the entire time so I could really nod my head to everything he did, also his first drop in his second round is just so sick
Idk I’m a gene simp, but I think that gene messed up some of his tech on his spit snares at time, and bart was incredibly powerful I think split descision either way is fine. They both messed up at times noticeably.
For me Gene was no way near of winning. He made more mistakes than B-art and the most important thing on a stage is power. Gene was lacking of that, but still pretty close
literally the weirdest comment I've ever seen, and tbh, it's not the greatest timing in light of the current allegations surrounding this event but ok lol.
Idk imo Gene was better overall in round one just off of originality and general cohesion as a single piece, and then when B Art called him out to use more power, Gene had the sickest counter of the solo battles and straight up dunked on B Art. He was like Aight, i got some power for yo ass. Ive listened 6 times on 6 different days and i continue to feel the same. Gene owned that man. And its a shame he didnt get to move forward.
Hello. I'm very suprised and a little (veryvery) disappointed about not seeing any form of statement from d-low about gbb x sbx toxicity problem. Have I missed something ?
Thank you first of all for correcting the volume Secondly.....there's absolute no chance that B-Art won this. In terms of originality and delivery .. B-art 100% flopped compared to Gene. I'm maybe one of so many but hey.. my money was on Gene
