Music production has come a long way. Anyone starting today has access to tools that we didn't even dream about in the 90s. FT2 was how the journey began for a lot of us.

true :-D I used Fast Tracker I, on the Amiga 600, and I was already "old", in the sense that the tracker era on the Amiga was already ending :-( Christ, what a time!

Savage Dude , so? What's got to do with me, if someone recommended you this? And to answer to your question, this is a demo of a great work on a sampling program, a composition, Dos based, wich makes FastTracker 2 even greater.

I was so fond of FT2, I even bought a Gravis UltraSound for it :). Never had the same feeling with any other 'DAW'

That's partly thanks to the single-task DOS environment, where you couldn't switch program or had any way to get distracted. Like photographing with a (D)SLR, you 'crawl' into the world of your creation.

ST3 and FT2 were just beyond robust for their time, for free products...and Hornet was the best place to download MODs to rip samples from ;) The demoscene was amazing.

You did really good, and it sounds really, really good, very authentic. This shows that 90% of mastering videos are just "hustlers" to those who sell mastering products, etc. at 90hz rather than 80hz, it was enough that it pierced the woofer and it was perfect :-D Then the "upbeat" bass of this song is devastating, a fucking note (3 to be exact) and end of the story :-D

I love the beat so much! Hey I got a question, how did you get the samples like the ones you have on there because I’m trying to find a simples for this song I’m making but I can’t find the samples I need. Do you know where I can get them at?

hello Chessie, in this track all the samples are very old, I´m not sure where it came from, some of them where recopilated from other .xm files, others like kick drum where sampled from the original audio , some was made by myself, Is not easy to get the same sound without the original audio samples I know, the important is to get the essence,I think theres no problem to get very similar samples or better with the librarys and daw programs of today but If you need a concrete sample I can try to help you, if I have it, I´ll try to send you, kind regards :-)

Thanks I was confused In the Beginning, but now I’m just using samples in garage band because they are kinda easy that way lol but ya I’m doing that thing where you use samples from records like people did in the 90’s to make amiga music lol also I really love this track that you made it’s in my best amiga playlist :) also I got a question what screen recorder do you use because I tell other people ? Sometimes they don’t answer lol 😂

@@D322MWUNITED hey im very interested in this things of chiptunes and downloaded milkytracker and learned the basics to crerate something and i have a question, you really have to put every sound in each block like you are writing? like recording and playing what you did to see if the rythm is going good? because it crazy to think thats the way people create these songs,. so much time omg

Marto FSK depends on how long your sample is. I’m not 100% percent sure, but I believe it’s the sample. Also for the rhythm, I believe you need the adjust the speed and bpm. I’m not sure, but can you give me an example?

@@esMGG no you can hit record pattern/song and play the rhythm in real time. Of course you probably realized this by now 1 year later lol

Nice. I know you show 16-bit samples in video, but it looks like 8-bit audio. What is your audio card ? Can you export the project as 16-bit audio if you have digitised the computer output ?

I know it was rendered on 44100Hz and 16 bits from FT2, maybe some old samples were converted from 8 to 16 bit, I think too that the video is not rendered at higest quality, in combination the sound quality is lost, I find bugs in all my videos that I would like to fix but I can't find the time, I'll try to upload the following videos in higher quality and if this one reaches 1000Likes maybe I'll upload it again in better quality.
