@@knobsswitches I'm thinking about B.Box. It costs a little and has a few competitors that sound good with synthesizers: RML, Dreadbox, Zvex ... It does well in your movie and now I don't know anymore.
@@knobsswitches yes and no. This is what I've written in my Reverb ad: "You’ll be hard pushed to find a fuzz pedal with as much versatility and connectivity, not to mention quirkiness. The combination of octave fuzz, filter and resonance, alongside the stutter function, make for some spectacular tones and sonic possibilities. In combination with chorus, delay, reverb, I’ve managed to get some superb tones, from guitars, synths (both mono and poly), as well as drums. It‘s one of the few fuzz pedals that work well with poly synths and it also excels in creating rich and evolving drone tones. The CV and trigger gate allow for some very interesting interplay with modular and other gear capable of sending CV and/or gate signals. It is something an experimental musicians dream." At the same time, I find it can be a bit tricky to dial in, and I have a few fuzz, (valve) distortion and saturation pedals/units that are easier to dial in. This is one of my pricier pedals, and I'm looking to sell it in order to fund the purchase of an RS124 (EMI) compressor clone. I personally found limited use for the stutter function. I would love to be able to midi clock the time intervals of the stutter (maybe with some sub divisions). In all honesty I haven't experimented with it as much as I could have done. I reckon it would work really well with drone sounds, or maybe in parallel. I just couldn't get a sound that I really liked for my own productions.
