The donor will have no problem donating (obviously), but the recipient may/ or may not have a problem receiving this blood. The blood has to be objectively matched in the lab, because ABO and Rh systems (i.e. B negative and B positive) are not the only antigens involved. There are also Kidd, Kell, Duffy, Lewis, Lutharen, and many others that have to be matched before a decision can be made. Moreover, even blood group B has many subtypes (B1, B2,...etc). It is way more complex than what we studied in introductory Biology. The good news is a good lab would have an infinitesimally small rate of error.
It’s a somatic recombination mechanism that helps us have many differente antibodies with only few genes. V D J are all respective groups that have segments that are coded within our genome. Mixing the different kinds of Segments makes many variants of antibodies (or chains)
