In this episode of our cruising life we show you how we upgrade Vela Nautica to get her fit for the circumnavigation.
As soon as you leave European or US costal waters the charts of the wide oceans are not that precise anymore. Many charts are from the old days of the explorer and others don´t go along with modern GPS.
In these cases you don´t feel confident to pass through potentially hazardous waterways. Here helps the forward scan sonar to give us confidence.
