Man that's so ignorant, i learnt Dutch when i moved to Rotterdam in just a year when i was 9, and i wasn't even trying to learn, it just came naturally

My father who lived in Vietnam for almost 20 years speak nearly zero Vietnamese so I get it.

Because in the school that she went to, they actually only teach french, mandarin, and Spanish and even then the basics of the basics... not to mention that language at HKIS is not a required course. Plus considering how long ago that was its likely that she forgot a lot of it...
