I'm done too!!!! Because that's an inclination that she's being treated totally beneath her caliber. Children of beautiful little bigs but when their kids you spend most times disciplining and treating them as such , "like a child" and children you discipline a lot they get punished and all. I just don't think it's right I think they've put a negative spin on Alzheimer's my grandmother had it and she loved her baby dolls but we still respected the fact that she was mother and grandmother. We actually still listen to her, we still gave her the thing she wanted and we did the things we know that she like previously before her Alzheimer's but to say she's a child that word never came out our mouths when my grandmother was alive. I am appalled!!!!

Going through it, they do revert back to being a child any caregiver that deals with this disease will tell you that. My loved one calls me mom, her sister, brother aunt etc... they not only forget they do many, many disturbing things at certain stages. Not making excuses for the couple and his infidelity, but going through it first hand, so I totally get what they are saying.

She talks too much for someone who is in a relationship she chose to be in. How dare she act as if B is a nuisance. @@1Grayton I get what you are saying, but you don't know what she has experienced. I am willing to bet even though she is not family or whatever... She has seen some disturbing behavior i.e. like stealing things, fighting, hallucinations, them pooping on themselves and playing in it, wandering, speaking in gibberish, etc.. this is a very heartbreaking disease and even though we may not like it coming out of her mouth anyone that has truly taken care of someone with the disease, not folks that drop in and out or just know of someone with it. If you have truly experienced you get what she is saying. Even tho Alex is a go, the ho is telling the truth.

For ALL of you whom has NEVER been a major part of a person's life at this stage has NO idea how lonely it is, taking care of someone like this. You cry at night, longing for the person once was, that will never come again, just to know that she will leave you further and further behind. YES this man needs companionship from someone whom is there, see, hears and understands. I'm dealing with someone now, that can't even remember anything we ever talked about in life. It's hard. Loneliness sets in and you long for something someone. You NEVER stop loving her, but YOUR life stops as you try to care FOR her and keep her as energetic as possible. She has NO idea that she don't remember anymore. MOST of you have NO idea what that is like.

@@BarbAWalters I worked with Alzheimer's patients and just when you think they aren't there... they let you know that they are still in there. At any point and time B. could have a lucid moment. I've seen it MANY times over the course of 10 years working in LTC. Who are you or anyone to say that she isn't there. That is the problem with people playing God. I bet you had a ton of abortions too because you didn't think a baby is alive in the womb or deserves life and respect. I must admit I didn't know much about B Smith before now. I'm from the UK.. but I've watched several videos with her in recent weeks. I have been following the story and I honestly feel saddened by this. Why couldn't this man give her the respect and love she deserves ? He's a very selfish man. Couldn't he have got a dedicated caregiver for this lovely woman instead he goes and get himself a woman. He and his girlfriend cannot justify what they are going to B.

Did you ever have any type of friendship or relationship with B or Dan, have you, when and for how long? I've been taking care of my husband with dementia for 15 years now. It was diagnosed when he was 50. It has been a long hard road with many ups and downs. I married at 18 and promised for better or worse and in sickness and in health. I feel that is what I should give my husband. It's pretty low to break a promise when someone is ill. I feel what he is going through. It's not the life I planned and it is lonely but I love my husband and would just feel so awful doing something like that to him.

God bless you and your husband. This segment is an affront to you and other married caregivers who have taken their vows seriously. I don’t doubt that it’s difficult and lonely going down that path (I’m a caregiver to my disabled daughter, so I understand to a point), but there are other ways to address those needs. To betray a spouse, move the mistress in the house, and siphon their resources under the guise of “care” and “love” is beyond despicable.

Only a narcissistic person CAN see nothing wrong with such deeds. He did NOT love her, but what she provided for him. She married a lesser man in all his ways and he proved it in the end, parading his mistress in public. Dressing up in matching clothes while mocking her to her death, dressing her like a nanny. B was so classy and grounded. Sad that he got joy from seeing her lost, exposing personal things publicly, etc. Shame on him.

Why is the media giving this cheater and his mistress a platform. This is not normal behavior people. Is this his 5 minutes of fame he always craved and wanted while living in the shadows of B. Smith’s. I don’t understand why he doesn’t hire help to assist with her care and to dress her with makeup or with proper clothing because B Smith was a class act. Oh I know why. He doesn’t want to spend the money that B Smith earned. He would rather spend on his girlfriend. I don’t know Dan but this situation is so tasteless and tacky. When I first heard about it, I was really worried and disgusted. Now I pray for B Smith every night. Dan, my mother always told me, life is a full circle. Watch what you do and how you treat people because you will see it again. Just keep living. Karma gonna eventually catch up with you. 😘

There is a lesson here. While you are courting or in the new world dating, you should ask those tough questions. Then when you get married draw up papers to state how you want to be cared for if this ever happened to you. That way there's no guessing what you would have wanted. Then lock it away until its needed. I cared for my husband even moved into the hospital with him . I not rich but I had them to set up his bed at home when he was released from the hospital he couldn't speak or eat or bathe himself, but I loved him and cared for him..sure it was very hard, but my love for him was stronger than you'll ever know. And when he passed away my conscience was clear and I'm sure he looks down from Heaven with a Big smile knowing I meant my vows to him...even when it got tough, because I made a promise to him...

He was the head of some entertainment company. B had him as her business partner from day one. It’s their homes, books, & restaurants. Now, most of that has been sold. Yes, makes sense why he didn't get a divorce. I think it's fine for him to move on. I'm a nurse and work with people with Alzheimer's and similar diseases. They are a shell of a person. But he should have just gotten a divorce, not moved in his girlfriend.

As outsiders, we'll never know if B. Smith really gave her "approval" for her husband to "move on" as he claims. I find it interesting that the mistress said she respected B. Smith and wanted her to get well. So if she did get well (by a miracle), would she relinquish her position as a mistress and let the couple revert to their old relationship?🤔 Also, while I sympathize with the family, I wonder if the stepdaughter would have the same sentiments if this were her biological mother. 🤔

Marriage has no place for a third party. Your marriage vows are clearly written..."For better or worse" "In sickness or health." Now, where does it say's tired of your spouse being sick or dying run out get yourself a new mate and that will make your marriage better. The other part of the vows states, "Till death do us apart" meaning you sacrifice for your spouse until God calls them home. I take my vows seriously and so does my hubby. We have talk about what if circumstances changes as we get older and so we have Medical living will and Final will. When you are married you need to have those important talks about wills, finances, life insurance, medical wishes and so on. It may not be a topic you want to talk about but, it is necessary. Praying for B. Smith that God intervene in her behalf. It just not right for a spouse to move on as if, you're already dead and in the grave while your still alive...its just disrespectful. In the end its all about controlling her money. People do strange things for that mighty dollar.😒😞😢💔💔💘💘💰💰💰

Women get your Living Will and separate your Assets asap! If or when your health declines make sure you get people who actually care about you and will do everything that will make your health a priority. Not a husband or a step-daughter but someone you know who will speak up and advocate to the fullest for you. And there's countless others who married but, didn't put anything in writing and in the end left crying and half broke or broke altogether. I hope Taraji P. Exactly. I know it is tough; my grandparents went through this when my grandpa declined due to Parkinson's. Dan, Alex, and Dana are NOT QUALIFIED Alzheimer's Disease caregivers. Dan stated in a recent interview with the View that he has instructed Dana to put him in a facility. Alex stated on the same interview that she put her own dad in a facility. They are stating B. Smith is like a 4 yr. old who barely recognizes them. So, what is stopping Dan from getting her a nanny-- full time Alzheimer's nurse, or caregiver. If his happiness comes first-Dan could sell the house, split their assets to pay for Smith's long term care, take his half of the money and move on with his new lady love and doting daughter instead of bank rolling his own self-gratification at the price of B. Smith's public humiliation.

Surviving You Today I agree. There are so many new treatments available. We don’t know if he’s done anything at all. For all we know he just keeps her cooped up in the house with no stimulation what so ever. And we all know, letting her eat McDonalds burgers isn’t good for her. Seems more like he’s just waiting for her to die. A friend whose father had Alzheimer’s said they can’t truly diagnose it without an autopsy. She said there are so many other conditions that present the same way. I really think she needs to be in a facility that will be actively trying to help her.

Lavish Misfit Tink, tell me about it! Why is Alex there, but not B? Is it because Dan says B is in no condition to make it? I believe Dan exaggerates and purposefully shows the very worst of B after sabotaging her. About Dan's lover: I am sick of hearing this slick & slow talking heffer Alex, so articulately slow down to carefully explain such a whorish & selfish plight? She is so invested that she repeatedly explains her low down story so well as though it's a love story from Paris that she cannot escape, but make no mistake there is nothing clean about her involvement in B's marriage. She is staying because of her own interests & NOT for B. Smith. NASTY! This is the best questioning I have seen so far and, even so, he stumbles to explain his broken commitment to B so well. His educated conversation is full of dates and miscellaneous statistics, but somehow listening to Dan while knowing what he is doing to B would make anyone want to run 🏃 and not from Alzheimer's.

The daughter is just as guilty and money hungry for supporting this foolishness. Based on videos I've seen, I don't like how his daughter treats B. She puts her hands in her face and teases her as though she were a dog or something. It would make me very happy if all of B Smith's money goes to support the black community when she passes away (like those lawyers who get those wrongfully accused black men off death row) instead of to these wicked people pretending to love her.

Even though she has siblings he is the spouse and in most states he has the rights to make medical and legal decisions for her and unless her brothers can PROVE ADULT ABUSE & MISTREATMENT OF SOME KIND its nothing that they legally can do especially if their money aint as long as hers. So because of their lack of involvement Dan is taking advantage and for granted the fact that HE KNOWS they are not going to do anything to protect her from him
