Watched alot of jb skaters smooth is always on beat I mean always no matter what the move....thats why I think he's the best..his backwards skating really smooth and on beat..Great skater!!!!
Ok this dude is smooth ill give him that and yes it may not be what yinz may call jb but he has STYLE and that's what's it all about right B smooth can we get some new video
Don't know the name of it, came from mixed CD they sell at Rich City, Chicago. You can buy the songs they played during the night after your done skating. Or get a hold of one of the DJ there, most skate also.
Thank you VERY much!! The Quad Cities is in North West Illinois right next to Iowa connecting them with 2 of their main cities and they call that the Quad Cities. And we representing all this area with our style of skating. Trying to further the Skate Community! Check out our Facebook page to get more insight!
Yeah we don't go there much, they be trippin!! Except when they have skate Jams, like the one coming up in July. B Smooth skates at Rich City, Lombard, and Markum. Haven't been as much lately.
I don't know. All I can tell you is it was from Suicide Kings celebration at Rich City. You can contact some of them Like Nizm, and Ms DJ Tone. They could help you more than me. Thank you for the support!!
We all skate on the 172 OG package. Only difference is which plate you choose. Those are the most comfortable boot I've skated. The are flexible, yet still have enough support for your ankles. Hopefully this helps! Thank you for your interest!
That Fuse is fiberglass. That Neo I believe comes on the OG package. The fiberglass Fuse will work if you're on a budget. And I am sure that it will work for the level of skating you've stated. That Neo is a few levels up from the Fuse. It's really up to you. If you're just buying something that works right now. Or you're looking to build yourself a skate that will take you into the future. I've used many plates. I like the Reactor. B Smooth uses the reactor, he's used many. B Rock and D Fresh use the Neo or the one they had before the Neo on the OG package.
I have took your advice giving and building a skate to take me into the future. Powerdyne reactor neo, bone art elite 101a with bones Swiss super 6 bearings. But I'm stuck on the boot. I'm leaning towards the riedell 220s. Any suggestions?
That's a very good set up! I used all that except for that particular plate and bearings. I use reactor and bone ceramics, instead of the super 6. I started skating on the 220 style boot. And when I had resumed skating I used the 220 package. Matter of fact I still have 220's that I had costumed to be like the 297 boot with the higher heel than 220 boot. But, B Smooth kept going on about the 172 boot. He had tried them. So, I tried them. We never looked back!! They're by far the best suited for our style. Rhythm, dance, with some JB moves. 172's are super flexible, yet still have enough ankle support. And very comfortable. What I suggest. Like we did when reviewing boots. Ask someone cool enough at rinks you skate to let you try out a particular boot you're looking into. Thank you for the interest!
Quad City Cuttaz, the rink...it is in the midwest? Most rinks in the NYC area are closed still -- nothing local to me. The sessions are also so much shorter than 25 years ago. I used to skate in the Bronx on Saturday nights from midnight til 4AM!

Well, we call that a snap around. I don't really know what other groups call that move. We learn on our own mostly by watching videos of other skaters all over and mixing the styles with ours, and when we skate with others skaters. Our style is like a hybrid dance, rhythm, JB, and shuffle mix. If you look right at .36 sec. You can see his right foot back leading. You put the weight on that back foot and turn it out and you'll like snap around smoothly like B Smooth. Hopefully I explained good enough. If not I will make a video in a few weeks of how to do that particular move. Thank you for your interest!!
I don't really know what most people call it. I just call it a back to front toe spin. This video helped me learn how to do it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HihmftyylBE.html&
Of course we still Rollin them 8's, every Weds nights from 8-10!!! Cuttaz don't SK8T for a livin...We LIVE 2 SK8T!!!! No, B Smooth stop SK8TN back in Jun of 2018.
May I ask if he’s ok? Where do y’all skate? I’m from the Chi, know about the Rink and Markham. There’s another out south, not coming to me right now. I’ll leave you alone after this. Thanks so much for taking the time to interact. 💥
@@09Soldout You are not bothering me. I haven't heard from him in over a year. So, I don't know about how he's doing now. We were going to the Rink, Lynwood, and Glenwood before the pandemic. We haven't being going now because of all the mask rules and stuff like that. So we've only been SK8TN locally lately. And going to Bloomington, and to Burlington. Thank you very much for you're interest though!!
I can't tell if that's the lazer plate B Smooth had previously used. I know it was 45 degree. he kept breaking kingpins with those plates. So he has now switch to the Reactor Pro plate by PowerDyne it's 10 degree. He loves it, and hasn't had any problems resulting from his style of skating and the flips.
It's from a mix CD. You can get from skating in Chicago. After skating, many DJ will sell you tracks they played that night. Check Out DJ Ms. Tone, DJ Mac, DJ T RELL, DJ Bam, and Nizam. Many have RU-vid so you can hook up with them about their music.
QuadCityCuttaz I am working on my third set of skates, One for outdoor practice and the other two are for indoors. My question is, where can I find those particular boots, not the all black OG 72 , but the ones b smooth have??? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
B Smooth is wearing the Top of the line Riedell 172 OG package with the power dyne reactor plate, with the color lab personal colors. They're AWESOME!! With all his flipping and style of skating. Many other plates were breaking king pins constantly. With the reaactors he's had no problems for over 4 years. They respond very well. We get them from the rink. Skate City. You can also find them online. Hopefully that helps! Thank you!!
Want to apologize for my comments. I was their Sunday night had a lot of fun. I'm old and rusty, but still could jam a little. It's cool to see people still jamming, and your group keeping it alive.
Thank You!! It's all good!! No hard feelings! We are here to promote skating, and to keep it relevant. Showing those youngsters and all others young at heart, that there is still plenty of good, clean fun to be had on the skate floor. We know our style of cutting through the crowd, doing our thing at HIGH SPEED is intimidating to many that aren't to sure of themsleves on the skates. But, We are Crowd Cutters. Hence the name Quad City Cuttaz. It was a good time! Glad you enjoyed yourself! Hopefully you'll be back.
It's all good. He was so serious about learning after he first met me. I had to introduce him to the Culture!! He fell in LOVE with SK8TN with us!! Thank you for the positive comment...Salute!!!
