Funk music was most popular when I was one year old to 7 years old, Im white but this music has been melted into my soul. I can never get enough of that funky stuff.that sweet funky stuff....
I am 65 years old and out of the blue that song came to me, and my memories took me back 50 years ago when I was a happy teenager in Brazil who doesn't even understand the lyrics to that song!!!!!! Happy times, happy life then....
THE GROUP IS CALLED BT EXPRESS BECAUSE IT STANDS FOR "BROOKYLN EXPRESS" WHICH WAS A TRUCKING COMPANY BASED IN BROOKLYN ,NEW YORK. THE BAND WAS MADE OF TRUCK DRIVERS FOR THIS COMPANY
@Frank Bear you should definitely think about keeping such small-minded shit to yourself. I was ready to describe it as mindless, but you did express yourself. I won $7 on the Powerball last night, I have a dollar of that, to start the "get your ass out of here" fund. PM me for a mailing address.
Frank Bear, jealousy will get you nowhere 😂😂😂 you're insecurities are you're issues but come on man, learn to celebrate the human race and stop being hateful man. There's no way you can be a happy soul because you weren't created to carry hate in your heart.💖💖💖
when this song was released. my friends and I traveled from Monterrey Mexico to Laredo TX. to buy it. a 6 hour round trip. This song was a great success. Those were times when music was real music. Great groups there were, LIKE War, Ohio Players, Earth wind and Fire, BT. Express, The Miracles, Commodores, Four Seasons and more. Now I am 62 years old and I thank God for having lived through all that glorious era of music.
you mean 1974 - 1975 because this song came out in those years. Anyway, a year or two doesn't matter. the important thing is that you lived it and enjoyed it. greetings from Mexico.
You know that year of 1975 was the best hot summer back then, but I get teary eye, when that year of 1975 is now gone. But the music is still fresh and still new old school now. Priceless!
I just found this album in a thrift store for 50 cents. Its in pristine condition along with 35 other LPs from the 70s. Someone took very good care of them.
This song brings back so many great memories. Soul Train on Saturday mornings, family cookouts in the summer, family get togethers on Friday evenings, my parents' card parties, etc. I'm so grateful for the wonderful childhood I was fortunate to experience and being a child in the 70s. Great music and wonderful childhood memories. Long live the 70s❤❤❤
Man this should have been on the Movie soundtrack of the " The Mack"...but it came out the year after the release of " The Mack" in 1974. Truly a classic in its own right. Can't beat the originality and creativity of this song in its time. Over 40 years ago since its release and still holds its own. Miss those days..
The music industry got together in the early 80’s and decided to kill real music with harmonies and great melodies and replace it with heavy rock/ death metal and hangster rap
In my mid-40s now - this song and Motown will never go out of style in 2024 and well after into the 2030s and 40s and 50s! Hopefully I'm still around long enough to keep listening to this stuff.
Today's Generation definitely don't know nothing about this old school music!!! Every tavern on the corner of Newark was playing this song Do it til you satisfy by bt express. This was everybody's jam. Even the cars were blaring this song being played on WBLS as well. Who remember this song? And if you couldn't jam off this partying music? There's definitely something wrong with you!!! How I know about this song because I use to dance my behind off this funky music.
1974 NYC hot summer days on the roof listening to the legendary "Chief Rocker" Frankie Crocker on BLS play this funky masterpiece. (RIP Frankie). Still sounds better than anything i hear on the radio today...
Oh yeah! I surely remember those days as a kid growing in in NYC.. WBLS was on heavy rotation in my house. RIP Frankie "Chief Rocker" Crocker and thanks so much for the memories!
I have the same uncle who passed away in 2009 and a cousin on my aunt's side, they both graduated from B.L.Moor High School in 1974 and they used 2 play football 2gether back then and they used to like this song.
It just doesn't get funkier than this! B.T. Express is one of 20 bands on the "Soul Train Boat Cruise" sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale, January 20, 2019 for a seven day funk fest on the high seas!
Songs like this play in my mind when I walk. Check my stride. See that lil hop in my bop. That dip in my hip. When I walk out my gate I glide like I’m on skates
Juillet 1976 Mon Frère DJ AUX USA 🇺🇸 Nous L’a fait connaître et adorer 🥰 Merciiiii Merveilleux souvenirs de Mes 16 Ans Sans oublier@Marvin @Otis @Spinner @Commodores @O’Jay ♥️♥️♥️🥰🥰🥰🥰♥️
On this day in 1975 {January 11th} the B.T. Express {Brooklyn Trucking Express} performed "Do It (Til Your Satisfied)" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'... Four months earlier on September 28th, 1974 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #2 {for 2 weeks} and spent 18 weeks on the Top 100... And on October 19th, 1974 it reached #1 {for 1 week} on the Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart... R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012}...
I was 9 years old when I first heard this song on the boardwalk at Carolina Beach, NC. I will never forgot it! Was also digging the Doobie Brothers and discovering the Beatles and the Bee Gees. Also the Eagles were fantastic. Don't get me started about Country music back then. This shit now sucks!!!
Wow! I released this beauty in 1975* at Discos Musart in Mexico. I contracted this from Specter Records, they did-not have distribution or promotion in Mexico and the rest of Latin \America. It was a super hit at the discos, a precursor of things to come!!!! Gotta check the date.
