B&W DM6 vs ADS L1230
Many people are questioning English and US speakers, which one are better. Here is just an example of 2 classic pairs of speakers Legacy English B&W DM6 vs Studio American ADS L1230. Please let me know which one you prefer and reasons. The song was used comes from Michael Bubble DVD Caught in the Act - You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" (Gamble and Huff) duet with Laura Pausini.

The beveled edges of the ADS supposed to be pointing toward the listener, since they contain the tweeter and mid-range. I would bet they would sound much better that way. (or did you set them up like this on purpose, for some reason?)

Hard to judge on a youtube vid. We first tend to notice differences in tonal balance. The B&W is warmer, richer in bass, dimmer but sweeter in the highs and more directional in sound. The ADS is leaner, brighter and more open and reflective due to it's small, wide dispersion drivers. Both are good when set up in the right room.

I love ads speakers but dm6 is sounding much better then ads

That's b/c the ADS are not set up correctly. They are reversed, left and right.

Overall coloration seems a bit lower on the DM6. DM6 also sounds smoother, subjectively lower in distortion and richer in the bass. But this is not a good setup with especially the ADS who's tweeter/mid arrays are firing at the side walls. Proper placement with ADS tweet/mids towed in the way they were designed could change everything. Near field reflections are not our friends.

Nghe nhac vang rat hay. Xem phim khong can sub. Neu nha rong thi noi chung la nen mua (loa hoi to nen chiem dien tich)

ADS hands down! The other speakers sound like a Tin Can !
