yep, I understand. I won't be pulling a 40 footer that is for sure. I also try to keep it slow.

That is a good idea. You could probably put a 2x4 across the bed sides and ratchet up to that. Thanks for the good addition.

It does get a corrosion layer on it and it can be susceptible to electrolysis when in contact with steel. I mainly painted it so that the silver color wouldn't stand out.

Yes. The hitch mounts in the same location with respect to the rear wheels and back of the bed. The distance from the center line of the axle to the end of the bed is the same distance. So everything is installed the same way on the trucks.

They are rough country shocks. I would not recommend them as they never felt like they did anything different when you adjust them. Then the rear ones have leaked all the fluid out. I went to Rough Country to see if they have a rebuild kit for them and they said "No, those shocks are not rebuildable". It costs 900 dollars for replacements. I would suggest you get Fox or Bilstein shocks.
