Brilliant, cheers mate, you've done a great job here. But home office...seriously...what a dumb test for someone like me to take but here we go, more money to waste!
Yes, I've written three books, have several websites running, have dozens of youtube videos, have been in the country for 16 years. I have a verbal diarrhea so I speak with people around 10 hrs a day. and I have to take this test. Btw I came to this country for education and had taken an IELTS test in the British Council which included a thorough test and verbal interview. I scored 7.5 out of 10 and Home Office told me it was not valid document as it was for education only. lol B1 standard compared to IELTS is like Year 1 in school is to Year 5. lol
I feel the same way. I've lived in this country since I was 10, now I'm 30, have been through, primary school, secondary school and college, yet I still need this test, but there you go.
I'm taking this test tomorrow, but I still canNOT believe I have to take this exam! I find it ridiculous that they wouldn't take an A level English lit. certificate as proof you could pass this speaking test! Really. I can't just dig up money. :(
Sir i can apply job in hotel industry with b1 level, i was get canfeusd life skills b1 level our ukvi general b1 level, please answer me i can use ielts b1 level life skills For work in hotel industry
Very good video, should be very helpful for anyone sitting this test. For those angered by having to take this test.............unfortunately it is basically to serve 2 purposes. The first is to make money and the 2nd is to make it as hard as possible to obtain ILR. There are no other GENUINE reasons for this test, only those 2. It is part of the whole discriminatory immigration policy towards non EU citizens, the worst of which is probably the requirement to have an annual income of £18,600 even if you are MARRIED TO a BRITISH CITIZEN. So if you've been married for 4 years and 11 months and your income has now fallen to £18,599, your wife or husband will not meet the criteria for ILR. Unbelievably, a Supreme Court ruling recently decided this ruling is FAIR and should remain in place!!! That rule is an utter disgrace as are many other aspects of immigration policy towards non EU citizens.
@@creatingart2024 What a disgrace that learning and testing have fallen to these purposes :(! A BIG 'Thank You!' to those commenting on this - otherwise, in all seriousness - how would we know?
Hi, thanks for the informative video and I was wondering if you could help me?. I can't help but to think that there are so many ESOL that have different level which is very confusing and its is quite difficult to understand it. Here is the link that I found in the gov.uk www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/344517/list_of_approved_english_language_tests_01_07_14.pdf which tells me the list of accepted ESOL, I know that the requirements is Either B1 level 3 or Above but such as Cambridge esol etc. B1 in the list, I don't know if I can do that or would it be accepted. Thank you very much !!!!
Hi Kenji, Here is the UKBA link with the requirement. There are a few options which you can choose. www.gov.uk/english-language - an ESOL qualification at Entry 3 or higher (eg Level 1 or 2) on the Ofqual register taken in England, Wales or Northern Ireland - can be a possible option. The speaking and Listening Entry 3 test offered by Eurospeak can be a valid option. You can book the test with us: eurospeak.org.uk/b1-test/
This would be so bad for an introvert. I'm basically answer people with yes and no even though my English is fine, I still don't like talking to people. I have to do this soon so hopefully I will grow out of my habit.
Omg man!!! This exam quite similar to the A1 level ..than why they just accept the A1 level to visa extend ?!!! All the way waste money for this exam and this certificate just valid for 2years !!!what a crap! You waste money for nothing !!
