actually, it's completely random and the chances for everything are different depending on the current circumstances. this is how a white coin *actually* works: when it is collected, it picks a random section of memory (usually textures or level data but sometimes code, altho code is very small in comparison to the other stuff in mem) and it'll attempt to run it as code. so it can do basically anything! altho ofc the memory of your game will be different depending on where you are, your stars, etc. also, if you have other questions about beeie's peculiar mechanics, you can just ask me! i'm not exactly a dev but i do have the source code of unabandoned.
That’s nice to know! I did find out after making this video that it does a completely random thing, but didn’t know how it worked! By the way, how did you get the source code of Unabandoned? I have it decompiled for v0.9, but couldn’t find Unabandoned anywhere else.

I collected a White coin, I was so unlucky that it made my hat disappear (just like the yellow switch does), not even the monkeys have it, and idk where Klepto is lmao
Red Stars are required to beat the game. If 13 of them are found, then the door to the final Bowser fight will open. They also unlock some of Mario’s movements, like long jumping.
@@Katas-23 yeah but like what do individual ones do like your first red star gives you long jumping what does your second, third, fourth and so on give you
@@ProbablyCrispyBacon The 1st and 2nd Red Stars will unlock all of Mario/Luigi’s movement. The 3rd one starts messing with level scaling, making some levels bigger or smaller, and starting from the 4th one, the game will get harder. (purple coins will spawn, which damage you, enemies like Goombas will have stronger types spawning, and more.)
I thought red stars would unlock lakitu at some point. I can't figure how to move the camera (Normal Mario 64 works fine) I tried everything on the emulator but figured it may be turned off by the red stars? I have my 3rd, found a Lakitu in the reverse castle but he just attacks Mario
