MTF services demonstrate their new B4 to S16 EF lens adapter at the BSC Expo 2017.
The optical adapter allows you to use B4 lenses with EF-mount cameras that have a Super16 crop mode - for example the C300 Mk II. With this combination it's possible to shoot in 2K resolution with a much greater zoom range than is typically posible with Super35 lenses.
The adapter will be available shortly, priced at £1,500+VAT

Is there any advantage of this adapter, other than the light savings (.7 stops as opposed to 2 stops), of this over the MTF-EF for B4 to cover the Super 35? www.lensadaptor.com/adaptors?field_lens_fit_reference_tid=115&tid=159 At 970 GBP plus VAT it is substantially cheaper and has the advantage of being able to be used on any Super 35 EF camera (like the 7D or Canon Cinema cameras without centre crop) with no mirror interference. This as long as the B4 lens has a 2x.

In this interview he states that you can use the adaptor in 1x and 2x range however on B&H they state that you must have the 2x engaged to avoid vignetting - which is correct or have have I misunderstood something? - cheers

11 months later but I can answer your question - you may have the two MTF adapters confused. They have a 1.4x B4 adapter which requires the doubler to be engaged for S35 coverage. This adapter is a Super16 adapter so does not require the doubler but requires the camera to be in S16 centre crop mode.

The lenses that adapter works with costs tens of thousands of dollars so if you can afford the lenses that this adapter works with you can afford this adapter. If you want a cheaper adapter for this type of lens look at fotodiax
