The similarities between Amarendra Bahubali and Mahendra Bahubali. Both Amarendra and Mahendra were not raised by their own mother. Both fall in love with a lady from Kuntala kingdom. Both fall in love at first sight when they witness them fighting with sword. Both of them were Shivudu at some point in their life. Both of them free Devasena from the chains and both of them chop the head of the person who tortures Devasena. Both of them make similar promises to their love. Amarendra promises Devasena to bring back kattappa safely whereas Mahendra promises Avantika to bring back Devasena safely. Both of them save Bhallaldeva’s honour just before the interval scene in both part 1 and 2. The people of Mahishmati shout Bahubali in both the scenes. Both of them save their mother from an obstacle while walking bare foot with a stick and fire bowl to complete the ritual. Both of them have similar techniques in handling the sword.
