When you, an American composer write music so good that people that originally speak the language enjoy singing it, you know you've done well. Christopher Tin is so good.
I've been looking for a version of this song that was sung by native Swahili speakers for quite a while. This is the first and only I have found so far and I really love it!
Yep Christopher Tin composer the music and it became for Civilization 4. Which became for alot of people the main theme for the series even tho every game have their own theme songs. I love it because as we all know Africa is where humanity started so to me an african song represent all civilizations which is perfect for a game about civilizations
Likewise, this song stir up my emotions every time I listen to it., and I'm FAR from from being any sort of religious person, quite the opposite actually. But this song just evoke emotion that I never knew I had! It's just just pure human beauty, for both ears and eyes.
@@Mistyeyez2024 I imagine that it's not meant to be about Africa, but about the world. It's an Asian American Christian composing a song in Swahili, so making it about African pride is bizarre.
I stayed three weeks in Dar es Saalam and also I sing in a choir. I was there for a cultural exchange with other choirs Tanzanians, so hear and see this video has been nothing short of exciting. It brought me back to those wonderful moments and unforgettable. Africa is Africa.
My heart is overflowing with such love for these beautiful children! The Lord's Prayer sung in Swahili totally moved and touched my soul...I'm crying tears of joy! Hallelujah'!
Lamentavel.
+arthegor We must care for what is here, no matter how it got here. I personally am an atheist, so I don't believe an external force made the universe, but I respect your views, so I shall not initiate a religious debate which will spiral into a flame-war, tarnishing both of our ideals' good names.
44 dislikes versus 4018 likes. These 44 should be ashamed of themselves. Kids love to be part of something and music is a one of the best way to get them all involved. congratulations to whoever made this happen. It's a great achievement for these kids. They look so happy. kids from the rich countries should watch this.
The dislikes may be come from expecting version from theTanzanian choir but finding this video isn't properly crediting the original recording, which this mostly is
Our Father who art in heaven. Oh it is such a grand song in a beautiful Swahili adaptation. Bless these children and you future choirs who sing this now and in the future! ~Father Dan O'Brien O.S.T.
It's Zulu though Swahili is north Africa this is south Africa xD but u should learn Swahili of u wish to visit Africa most of the government speaks swahili I know zulu and Swahili I'm more fluent in Swahili though
Estou extasiada...
Worldwide, it isn't unusual to for people to give fruits of their labors during Mass. Notice bananas, jugs of some liquid, and other things were offered before the chicken.
It’s a strong place where the national Anthem has been taken over by another country… it goes “God bless Afrika”.. Mungo Ibariki Afrika - Tanzania comes later.
Each version of this song is a pleasant surprise! This version is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. In the voices of these children, the chorus of this song ganah authenticity and moves. It's lovely to see children singing with such dedication and willingness. I hope that they will continue working with these children, because great singers will leave this medium, and men and women of great value for humanity will surely emerge. Congratulations! Thank you for bringing music to life! God bless you all and congratulations!
This song is sublime. It makes me reach a very high level of happiness. I have a one month old granddaughter. Babies do not know languages, but they do know the vibration of love. I can see love into her eyes when she is listening it. Very soon when she grows up, I will teach her to dance and sing this loving prayer of our father. ❤️ Blessings to children around the world.
About 30 seconds into this video the tears started and as I type I am still a bit misty. This has to be one of the most beautiful and moving performance I have ever seen. To see the joy in the faces of these children is such a special gift. May God bless them all.
This version of Baba Yetu I cannot watch without crying tears of deep joy --- the song and the kids' eyes --- their little souls shining through --- move me to the core. :) God bless these precious, beautiful kids!!! What talent, too!! :) (I live in Georgia, USA)
Dᴀʀʟᴜʀ Nᴀᴍsɪʟʟ Of course that is a way of looking at it and that is how I like to think of it when I listen to this music. But this is a video of children among priests, in a christian school, singing the lord's prayer.
Lisa Marie Stormo Well I discovered this song by playing a game, to me it means something else. Music can't be religious, music is music. If you label something religious you label it ignorant, religious = ignorant.
This is so beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes! So amazing the way God's Holy Spirit moves at all corners of the earth!!! I also love the voice of the soloist at the end :)
