Napom kind of gave that counter to him. That breathing technique is originally from Babeli. I think Napom did it to try to agitate Babeli by showing him he can do it just as well as him.

I'm not sure if Babeli was just having fun or taking it seriously. When he gets into beast mode, he destroys but it seemed like he was just coasting along since the eliminations. I still love him but I wish he would be more aggressive in his battles. The old 2011 Babeli didn't care. If you battled him, prepare to get shit on. I think he is going towards the performance side like Reeps did. His beatboxing is style one of my favourites

I don't think Babeli even tried. I don't think he needs to try anymore. Beatboxing has very little to do with just crushing your competitor and a lot to do with creating music. Babeli is one of the pioneers of modern beatboxing. He figures out the humming throat bass technique, he figured out the low tongue breathing bass, he has made immense contributions to the beatboxing community so maybe he lost this battle. But he did win in life. He is an amazing beatboxer. And I have maximum respect for him. And there is no doubt that had he really wanted. He could have won. No doubts. None whatsoever.
