Looks interesting. Enjoy the looks and the edgeless design. Very low twist weight on all 3. And paint grit on a $220 paddle isn't very impressive. I'd take Ballr or Wizard. Both are kinda hybrid shapes one longer and one wider. I would not purchase over other paddles you recently reviewed. I'm waiting on my pre-order now, and I'm happy these didn't excite me.
They’re priced around Selkirk and Joola but don’t have name or pro backing. I wonder if the ROI on such a play was even worth it. They’re competing in a super crowded space and with the paint grit - appear to be out of touch given their price point.
Yeah, they would have had these with sleeker designs and non-paint grit they would have had a solid lineup with unique shapes. The price point is still difficult though.
I don't mind the color of the WZRD but I really don't like the shape of that. I don't mind the shape of the STRKR and I do like the color too but hearing what you say about the difficulty with control, I'd rule out this out. So, by elimination, I'd take the BALLR (nice shape and color too) over the other two. Oh, for that price of getting spray grit probably not a first choice for many people.
Crazy how such a reputable racket company comes up with this crap. Kuddos though for not being cookie cutter but I’m sure they have highly paid engineers that could do better than this. That said I’d give the Strkr a shot.
It would be the Ballr+ for me. I don’t mind the looks from a graphics perspective. My problem is that when I see colorful paddles, other than those branded Selkirk, I assume they are starter paddles from the local sports store. Premium paddles, to me, have that flat black carbon finish. Although I am enjoying the colors that Kevlar is bringing to the premium space. If it’s super colorful, it’s spray on grit, and it’s probably not someone researching before they buy. Still with how many tennis players are moving into the Pickleball space, it’s a no-brainer for the tennis companies to make Pickleball paddles. I’m just not likely to buy one.
I think I'd want to go more all-court from the Prism Flash, so Ballr it is. Of course, shape is reminiscent of the Joola Radius and I didn't love playing with my friend's Radius.
These almost look like paddles for a different sport, but I really appreciate the unique style and design. Ballr sounds like my style for sure. Thanks for another honest review.
