I praise the dog, he knew something was wrong and wouldn’t stop or leave until people came to help.

For those curious: As it turns out, this guy wasn't even aware that the baby existed, and what actually happened was the baby's mother's family was Jewish, and the grandmother feared that her daughter having an illegitimate child would damage her (the grandmother's) standing in the community. To that end, she threatened to completely disown her daughter if she didn't get rid of the baby, before basically exiling her until this blew over. In the end, the baby does pull through (in a brief crossover with "Chicago Med"), and the grandmother is arrested in a very public, and very satisfying way. (the father plays no role in the story after this)

Utterly amazing how many laws the cops break on this show, it's almost like a competition to see how unrealistic they can make it.

Seeing Voight's face when he finds the baby. U can c the sorrow in his eyes, despite him being the toughest officer on the team. He probably thinks about his dead son every time he sees the body of a child, & the pain the parents might feel.

ive seen the full episode, the dad was not responsible at all, baby did end up surviving but has issues

I feel like he could have done just like a tiny amount of investigation before flying off the handle like that. they had no evidence that he even knew he had a kid and so they basically just threatened and assaulted a guy who just found out the daughter he didn't know he had almost died.

When Voight said he'll do something he won't regret even if it cost him his job you better tell him the truth as he will do what he says especially when a child is involved.

I’m glad I’m a woman bc the anxiety of not knowing if you have a kid out there is terrifying to me. Even if you use protection all the time accidents still happen and if she doesn’t tell you, you will never know. That’s horrifying!

It makes me absolutely sick to my stomach to see parents or family members, whether it's in a TV show or in real life, throw away their own kids like they're a piece of trash...

The way hanks face shifted at 0:41 was not only really good acting. But it shows that despite being an intimidating man, he does express emotion sometimes, and it shows how concerned he is for the poor babies life

I haven't watched a single episode of Chicago pd but from these short videos, it seems that Voight is always emotional when kids are involved.

I personally love when the med and pd work together on the show

Watching this reminds me of two years ago, I was walking my dog Vatani, a Ducth Shepherd Pit Bull mix. We lived across the street from a big field, well one day while walking her she yanked the leash out of my hand and ran to a patch of grass so I walked to her and saw a baby probably about 2 months old in a baby carrier, the baby was so weak cause it was cold it could let a cry every few seconds, Vatani's hearing was better than mine that day. I picked the baby up and took it home, my mom called the police, the police and a ambulance came out and took the baby to the hospital. Luckily the baby survived, turns out the parents of the baby lived down the street from us, they said they had forgotten their baby after having a picnic in the field. The baby was put in a foster home while the parents were arrested. I was surprised by Vatani's actions that day cause she absolutely hated strangers, didn't matter the age, but was very proud of her, I was 18 at the time. Vatani is no longer with me, and I miss her deeply along with my other pets

I don't think detectives or cops get paid enough to have to find deceased ppl, especially babies 😔 my heart 💔

Yeah cops like that should lose their jobs. Letting emotions get in the way of being professional. Not a single clue up until he attacked the dad that it was his fault.

Also, seriously, what cop of any experience, in a city with Chicago's weather and water, doesn't know "you're not dead until you're warm and dead"? Come on.

It's the way barely anyone would at least leave a child at a church or adoption center is what baffles me. Not wanting or even being able to have and raise a child, sad but understandable, Not caring to see that it gets to live or have a home is horrendous

I know it’s a show, but this really hit me.

Voight such a badass that he straight up pretty much opens the zipper of a possible bomb with not a second thought. But no amount of badness can hide his emotions on his face of once he opens the bag

The cop was treated Erin for absolutely nothing Erin do not deserve it at all he was telling the truth about everything for the baby. The mother need to go to jail for everything for your daughter she deserves it.

Everybody on this show lost their jobs in the first 30 seconds.

How can people do this to innocent babies when it’s completely legal to leave them safely at a hospital, church, fire station, cop station, you could just walk up to a random stranger at a grocery store and hand the child to a cashier and leave…. Why would you be so cruel? 😢💔

Unfortunately this happens way too often. Ruthless and inhuman instead of taking unwanted babies to a church, police precinct or fire department

The mother and the father are both innocent, the only person arrested in the episode is the mother of tana and a midwife to be deported, the baby is stable and going to be taken care of my tana

🙂✅ I really like Chicago One especially CPD I watch USA Network on Mondays for several episodes of CPD. I don't understand why there's only one day of CPD and Law and Order SVU every day. CPD has a variety of topics whereas SVU is primarily violent sex crimes even on Sunday's. When I was younger people complained about War movies on Sunday I can only imagine what they think of hours of sex crimes. More CPD please.

You know you could give or drop off a baby at any fire station without question and they’ll take it and you won’t get in trouble and you won’t go to jail so I don’t know why people just leave babies in the most dangerous spots for them to die it’s just so stupid
