I love your videos- they are so informative. I am currently looking between these 2 strollers and was wondering if you have an updated 2020 review of these 2 strollers- vista v2 and the city select lux?
I'm so curious to see a comparison of the LUX and the Joovy Qool, both in double/triple mode. Being able to use the bench seat while using both modular seats is a huge bonus for us with the Qool!
I've been waiting for this video thank you! You've helped me confirm that I want the city select Lux! I live in Canada so hopefully it comes here before my July due date!
We have a 5yr old and are expecting another in January. We are coming from a City Mini Gt w/ our first born and wished we had a stroller that had a wide opening on the bottom for easy storage/shopping. That is our #1 priority for our new one. Which stroller would you recommend for that also accounting for the age of the kids?
I'm at such a loss 😔 I can't figure out which would be better for me, the Vista or the Lux... I saw in a review that you can not put the basinet on top and toddler seat on the bottom (facing out) weith the Vista, which is what I was hoping to do when my baby comes. Is this true? I thought that configuration would work with the adapters.
Correct. It's not possible on the Vista to have the bassinet on the top and the toddler seat on the bottom. However if you purchase upper adapters and purchase a Rumble Seat you can have the Rumble Seat on the bottom and the bassinet on the top. Because both Lux seats are the same size, you can have the bassinet on top and seat on the bottom as is.
mbeans.com That's the problem, I saw both in store and I really really love the look of the vista 2017 with leather handlebars, but if I were to get that stroller it would mean that my son who will be 2 end of October would always be closest to as oppose to my baby who will be born end of November. I'm not a fan of this, I wanted to have my baby closer to me and my toddler at the front view. If I put him on the rumble seat it would work for now but I'm sure he will reach the 35lbs limit before he out grows the use of the stroller. I don't see why they couldn't make the Vista like the Lux and have both seats the same size... Seems to me it would be so much more convenient! The Lux is still beautiful but not as wow as I thought... Really kinda disappointed that the Vista won't really work for us... I mean if I wanted to I could make it work but I would have to settle for my baby girl to always be a little farther from me than my toddler boy... Such a disappointment 😔 Why Vista!? Why?! 😔
mbeans.com Is there any way that you can put the toddler seat on the bottoms and rumble seat on the top with the upper and lower adapters???? Cause that would just be perfect!
Hi, Any suggestions for a double stroller that travels well. I have a 2 year old and a 1 month old. We will be going for a family reunion in the US Virgin Islands the 1 month old will only be 4 months at time of travel.
Can the Uppa baby Mesa infant carseat fit on the city select lux? If so, which adapters do you use? I can't find any information on whether or not it is compatible with that carseat. Also, can you clip on a snack tray to the city select seats? I see the bar on the Vista seats but not on the city select seats... Thanks!
Hey Amanda - unfortunately the Mesa is only compatible with UPPAbaby strollers. And yes, they have their own snack tray! mbeans.com/baby-jogger-child-tray-for-city-select-select-lux-city-premier?DeptID=401
Without a bassinet, you can make the Vista newborn ready with the purchase of a SnugSeat (mbeans.com/uppababy-infant-snugseat-2016-2017?DeptID=399). To make the Lux newborn ready, you'd have to use either a bassinet or a infant car seat with the stroller.
Is there a multi purpose double stroller you would recommend? Maybe not jog, but something you can take for a walk on paved trails yet go shopping with.
Do the seats in the Lux sit straight up at 90 degrees like in the vista? My older daughter wants to sit straight up and for this reason she doesn't like the Gluxe which is at a slight recline in the upmost position.
The Lux has the same seat design as a Vista. It's not a straight up seat as it still has that slight curve. If you want a straight seat though, we would recommend the Nuna Mixx2, Cybex Priam with Lux Seat, or the Bugaboo Bee! mbeans.com/nuna-mixx2-2017-stroller.html, mbeans.com/cybex-priam-stroller-all-terrain-wheels-lux-seat-2016-2017.html, mbeans.com/bugaboo-bee5-bee-5-stroller-2017.html
What is the weight capacity of the rumble seat versus the toddler seat in the Vistat? Are the weight capacities of the seats in the City Select Lux different?
The Vista cannot be folded comfortably with the seats on however I have heard customers who have successfully done it. I would not recommend it. The new Lux will be able to be folded with both seats on.
They are both easy to work with. Magic Beans offers a lifetime of support so we will help you reach out to either company if there are any issues at all!
Kate Mullaney sorry about that. The Lux should be here at the end of May (possibly a bit sooner) Stay tuned to Magic Beans social media for updates. Best Eli
