I’m not even in the market for a new stroller anytime soon and I still find these videos so informative and interesting! You do a great job explaining all the features and benefits!
I have the regular baby jogger city select double stroller and omggg I LOVE it! We snagged one in pristine condition, used for around $350 it was the best thing we bought for baby #2! We walk/jog at least 3 Miles with it each day and it rides so nicely over the bumpy sidewalks here. I seriously love so much about. Works perfect with my 5 month old in her car seat and 2.5 year old and the seats are so easy to interchange. The Lux version looks beautiful :) but alas I’m so content with ours😇🙏🏼💕
Love baby jogger not just for their quality and innovative products but also their customer service is top notch!! Loved seeing the seat fits over the bench, I hadn't seen that in any other reviews! My only disappointment in this brand after owning the city select double through 3 boys (with SEVERAL attachments/accessories) is that while they have several brands supported in adapters the number of car seat models is EXTREMELY limited in my opinion.
this is the most thorough review I have found! I am currently switching from an inline double because its worn out and looking for something to fit my 3.5 year old and 2.5 year old. Thanks for helping!
Great thorough review. Loved your three "models" who helped on the road test. Georgeous Beast looked so proud prancing beside the stroller and Forde's commentary on the bench and footrest was insightful. "Not too high."
I have the regular Baby jogger City select double stroller and love it. Even though I only have one child so far, it's an amazing stroller. Would be nice if the cool new seat was compatible with the order stroller models. It's a great idea
I LOVE CitySelect!!!! I have their side by side double stroller, but Man does this blow it out of the water!!!! Would get this in a heartbeat!!! Maybe on the next one 😂
Great through review. I preordered this in June 2017 and was pretty unhappy with the fold (handles were sticky), the clumsy opening, and the hand brake. The maneuverability, wheels, and other features are its saving grace. However, I hate how the accessories are explicit in their compatibility. Overall, 7/10.
Just added this stroller to my registry! Now I'm between this one and the Nuna tavo. We already have a Nuna infant car seat so I'm glad this Baby Jogger offers the compatible attachments 🤗
I’m so happy you reviewed this stroller. I’ve had such a hard time finding any reviews that mentioned the bench seat. Did Forde like it? I agree, it’s super innovative and would be the perfect configuration for my family! Great review :)
Great video, thanks for sharing, very informative. However, struggling to find out if the bassinet has a proper carry handle, can't find info or pics, would you know? Thanks!
I m in love, just like others the several adapters and accessories are bothering to buy all of them as an extra. 830 Cad, + who knows, maybe 300 for small plastics and the car seat is one more thing to buy. And still, i will buy it.
Hello. Great video! I was just wondering if you could recline both seats? Also, can the bench be placed in any other position, like facing out or place in the front instead of the back? Thanks!
Excellent reviews Elle! I'm expecting baby #2 in November and when I heard you were reviewing this I grabbed some Cheerios and kicked my feet up 😁. I have a Graco infant car seat now, so were you saying it can be used with this stroller with the adaptors? Thanks Elle!
Just found this video and I am currently looking into buying either this one or the uppababy vista. I was wondering if this color (which is my favorite from baby jogger) gets dirty easily? It is my only concern with it. Thanks for this awesome review!
I’ve read good an bad reviews on the city select but it’s the only double stroller I like an what’s the point in buying a single stroller when you plan on having multiple children close in age. It’s pricy but if it’s a good stroller it’s worth it!
Ugh I'd LOVE to have it. But the price... whoa. We also need a second car. So it's only one of the two 😂 I wish you would have included some pricing (I know it would be obviously different for everyone what they purchase) maybe for the basic version (stroller and one seat) and maybe the price of the configuration of your choice. Just for reference. I just think the price is important to many who think of purchasing a stroller. But very nice video though. I like dreaming of things I can't afford 😅
mila maria I agree...great vid and review but price is steep on this one especially when you have to buy a lot of the accessories separately. I’m expecting baby #2 and would love to get another stroller for 2 kiddos but not sure I would be able to afford this brand.
If you're still looking, target has them on sale right now. They've been selling out really quickly, but I got mine for 346 shipped. The sale is going on until April 14th!
I'm currently expecting my 2nd - and my children are going to be 23 months apart. I keep going back and forth on whether I need a new "proper" double stroller. Or if I should baby wear until the little one is 6 months and I can use a double umbrella stroĺler (summer infant - currently LOVE my single version). City Select was one that I was considering but I didn't realize it was a hand break - I wonder how difficult that would be when my arthritis flairs up fall/spring.
I will say the thing I love most about the Lux is that it can easily be a single when a double isn’t needed and then kind of straddle between a single and double with the bench seat. It’s by far my favourite feature!!
Sarah K the hand break is surprisingly easy to use. My mom (baby’s nana) has fibromyalgia and she can use the hand break. The only thing she finds difficult is steep up hills as the stroller is quite heavy . Also lifting it , to put it in the trunk of a car.
Jennifer Langley the problem with the Bravo for 2 is that once the younger baby is out of the car seat and using the front seat, in the scenario of it falling asleep, there is no recline mode for him or her. A very uncomfortable problem for a baby. I am very well considering getting this one for my two kids
Hey :) Was just curious can the 5 point harness be buckled up with only the waist straps attached ? Leaving the shoulder straps at the back of the seat? So kids are strapped in via the waist straps only ? x
I have this and I’m really disappointed with the tires. They don’t work well on sidewalks. I also wish the basket was more like the city select. I also hate the gap between the bottom of the stroller and the seat. I only got it for the bench option for my daughter
We’re expecting no.2 at the end of September. My son will be 26 months. He’s quite tall ~ how was Forde’s head at the top of the seat under the canopy? Could he use the seat footwell or did it have to be folded away? Does the Lux fold with both seats attached? I’m weighing up between this ($1,000+ once you buy all the extras) and the new (not yet released) Evenflo Pivot Xpand which is $400 and includes everything. Bargain!
It does fold with the seats attached but not as flat as uppababy. About the same as bugaboo. Fordes head touched the canopy slightly but he's Very Tall...about the height of a 4.5 year old. It is a little shorter than Bugaboo in terms of seat height.
I’d also like to point out that the canopy on the Lux has o different positions. One for shorter children and a upper one for taller kids. My five year old niece (39 lbs) fits in the seat using the upper canopy setting. :)
I’m not in the market for a new stroller or any stroller, but this seems too much. Seriously to have the snack tray and cup holders to buy separate? Elle- if you were not given this stroller would you have bought it plus all the accessories?
It depends on what type 'level' stroller someone is in the market for. The top strollers (city select, uppababy, bugaboo etc) are all sold in this way (everything sold separately) so consumers who are seeking after and comparing these top level strollers are used to this type of delivery. I agree, it would be nice to see more included.
I personally like how customizable this stroller is . You can pick and choose the accessories that fit your life style and unique needs. It’s also great because it can grow with your family. Starting with the basics and buying/adding accessories as your family needs them.
