@narusaku_forever1219 he's still pretty prideful in GT too. In Super he seems to have sort of lost his pride as a Saiyan to a degree, considering he doesn't act like he did during the Cell or Buu arcs at all. But in GT some of the Buu Arc Vegeta can be seen with his pride, just redirected.

I can see Vegeta's smile saying "Thank You" saying more than words can relate. I can imagine him being fully aware of everything going on. It must have been a nightmare.
Honestly that makes the idea of Baby even more terrifying. It’s like a reverse of when Buu absorbed people. Instead of them being unconscious, baby somewhat forces your body to be awake but he’s at the wheel(kind of like the movie Get Out) Mind/body control is something Toriyama sort of dived into every now and then in some characters and their abilities but GT made this much more horrifying on a global scale with Baby’s agenda
Facts. People hate on GT because it’s the cool thing to do but it was really good. Character designs, character development, all the visual aspects were great

You forget, this show is supposed to be marketed towards kids and teens and at that age, you know damn well you aren’t thinking about how good a plot , storyline and chacater development are. Instead of watching shows to pick a part everything that’s wrong with it, watch it for what it is. That’s not to say you don’t make any valid points but cmon now.
Baby used his body to take over earth and control all of humanity and killed countless others in which a changed vegeta had sworn to protect and had no control over that whole time but was still able to witness what his body was being used to do, that was a smile of relief vegeta had at the end
@@megusta9045You can already give up on that idea cuz GT's purpose was to end the anime series and not dragging it on any further, especially considering the series burnout it already suffered from the majin buu saga.
@@dsato2670 Yet it continued on through fan works like DB Absalon, AF, Deliverance, Multiverse, etc. & got an official live action movie that was so bad it soured Toriyama to bring it back & continue the pre-GT story in Super. As long as there are passionate, dedicated fans continuing work like the ones above & recent work like DB Kakumei the story will continue to "drag on" as one might say. Dragon Ball isn't going anywhere any time soon.
@@jonathanlisowski5618 What you said don't change anything about the fact that the Dragon Ball (Anime) story is complete and finished. Those latest movies along with Super have greatly expanded the Manga's world by taking place within its blank period, tying up all those events from the Majin Buu Saga to chapter 518 of the original work. But here, the point and goal where GT headed towards was to properly wrap up the anime series and give it a true sense of finality hence the TV special (Hero's legacy) and ending we got (Episode 64). By that point it is done and All those fanworks you mentioned are great tributes that are extremely satisifying to enjoy as a fan but that's as far as it gets.
I love Vegeta’s reaction when he sees Goku’s new form 😊😊😊 Usually he gets super jealous and pissed that he’s been outclassed. It’s nice to see him give Goku the respect he deserves
This was Canon Vegeta, following Kid Buu's defeat. Vegeta had a moment during that battle where he acknowledged Goku always being ahead of him, grew up and fully accepted that as fact. In canon, until Super, he became chill from that moment onward.
@@okanisiert in GT yes but in canon Vegeta still does not call Goku a friend. In the Granola arc, Vegeta straight up told Goku that he’ll kill him especially since they weren’t on earth.

@@Seth_Plessuryou could argue that dbz movies are from another timeline from the original story. I’ve heard little to no bitching about those particular movies cause Toriyama really put his all into those.
That scene made me, my mother, the other kids in hospital with me, the volunteers looking after us, and the nurses cry❤🥲 but we all smiled and got hyped when 2 people came to see and keep us kids company for Christmas, along with Santa: Goku SSJ4 and Vegeta with the mustache😂❤ best Christmas Day (and the year later even best Easter) ever! The only people I missed to see were the Italian voice actors for Vegeta and Goku at the time 😢
That smile says "thank you" but also "i knew you would do it kakarott" and also "kakarott, you dog, you actually did it, youre a SS4, i can see it" with a little bit of "damn it, he ascended again"
So many people crap on GT, but its still one of my favorite adventures into DragonBall. Super is pretty good, but GT still gave us a respectable ending.
People shit on gt because they stopped watching before baby was introduced. The first half of gt , gathering the black star balls, sucks ass and is boring, they were trying to make it feel like og Dragonball but failed. Then Gt got incredibly good with baby and the dragons
As much as he claims he can’t stand Kakarot Vegeta knows he’ll always come through 💯 (this is coming from a person who dislikes Vegeta with the intensity of Babidi’s Magic theme but I will agree with some of his views)
I’m glad gt is finally getting the love it deserves, yes it definitely deserves criticism for sure but there’s a reason it’s my fav DB series next to Z
So a villain could take Vegetas body and make him one of the strongest characters in the series but Vegeta being himself could never become such a threat.
@@MONKEYDZETSVegeta stopped his rigorous training routine in this version of the timeline (unless Super makes all transformation abilities usable in base forms but that's beside the point). He didn't use his Kami-given natural assets, so Baby did. The then-future Blutz Wave machine would provide a confidence boost though.
As a villain Vegeta took on Goku Gohan Krillin Yajirobe 4 v 1 and had them all on the ropes until the end Goku as the protagonist was in need of more training after the asswhooping left him handicapable enough to hand off the spirit bomb to Krillin Reverse plot armor He's beatable as a hero Almost unstoppable as a bad guy He needs a pro wrasslin heel turn to really shine
gt has its problems but the character growth and consistency is better than super. Goku, Vegeta, krillin, etc. all matured and everyone else either stayed the same or changed alot because they were a child (example goten the rizzler)
As much as GT gets shit on, I think that GT Vegeta is one of my favorite depictions of his character, and wish it was how he would be in Super. A Saiyan who, like Goku, has learned to love and appreciate those around him, and the planet that fostered him. He sees his family as his loved ones, Earth as his home, and Goku as his rival, yes, but also his best friend. Someone he can trust.
This is one reason why GT was better than super which got better and wasn't bad. Yet GT had such character development for Vegeta and Goku and everyone really. Video wasn't ruined she just understood she's human and can't keep up while also not being one of the strongest humans at that.
Not really, GT is the continuation of dbz 10 years later. So vegeta accepted goku to be the strongest and he was fine with it. He had loving wife and two children. So he settled down.
He only looks weird because of how this episode looks. It was made by Uchiyama who was known for ugliest DBZ> episodes (he didn't work on original DB i believe)
@@wolfshade5020 There is no official single canon for DB ever stated. GT was made as official sequel to DB/Z anime, so it's 'canon' to them. I mean if we really have to talk about canon by its pure definition, then nothing except original DB manga from Toriyama is canon, as even Super status as canon is questionable. People only call DBS canon because it was partially written by Toriyama.
for those who don't understand let me explain. the reason why Baby couldn't stay in Vegeta's body was because when Bulma use the Blutz Wave to powerup Baby vegeta it not only turn Vegeta into his Golden Great ape form it had also mutated Baby into his adult form. So Even if Baby manage to win he wouldn't be able to remain in Vegeta's body. so it was lose-lose for him

I never watched Gt but baby vegeta reverting back to human was well done. Giving his loss a “baby”-like expression instead of anger. This scene alone is better then DBS
