You will love it! I have the baby lock Lyric....I don't think I could EVER sew with anything else....they truly are an amazing brand! Congrats!! :D

I have a Babylock Jubilant and I love it. I just started sewing May 2020 so this is my first. Yes, it takes awhile to learn all the features. Enjoy!

@@SewSewDrew My mom had a singer and I was going to purchase one of those. But a fellow RU-vidr, Anita by Design, did a review on the babylock jubilant and I fell in love! Since sewing has been something I had been wanting to do since forever and I knew this was not going to be a fad: I decided to invest up front. I know you will enjoy yours!

congratulations! I am saving up for a baby lock, but only if I can sew my way through this whole year successfully ! I used 4 diff machines and my eversewn sparrow 30 (bernina's baby brand) is wonderful :) hoping to upgrade when I deserve it! Do let us know how it's held up :)

Also what kind of bobbins do I need for the Brilliant?

In the manual there is a illustration that tells you the exact size. If you don’t get the exact ones it won’t thread correctly and the machine acts funny!

I've had trouble with the thread getting bound up, any suggestions?

I’ve had the issue a few times. I wind a lot of the thread around the bobbin tightly before I start the machine winding. And wind at a medium speed.

I gave the singer to my God Daughter r she’s shown a huge interest in sewing and the brother I kept because it makes the best ZigZag stitch 😊

Stitches are even. I like it. I don’t feel like it does button holes very well.

I could not see you threading the machine, but it looked like you had the pressure foot down and it has to be up.

@@SewSewDrew I wasn't trying to be a know it all, because I am only starting to get into making a quilt not yet. But I have been watching so many vidoes because I would love to get this machine. Thanks for sharing. I saw a few that says you have to make sure the pressure foot is up. I don't know what it does if its down if you try to sew, maybe messes the thread all up.

@@SewSewDrew Its been a while since you have your machine how are all the features on it. I am thinking of ordering one which has a bonus with it. Did you do the classes? Were they helpful learning how to use the machine?

I didn’t do the classes I’ve have watch some RU-vid videos. It takes me a bit to get out my conifer level I just set a goal for myself to use the different pressure feet and learn a new setting/feature with every project ❤️
