I'm sharing my review of the Baby Lock Jubilant. I am a Baby Lock Brand Ambassador and this machine was provided to me for free in 2018. I've been using it for 3-1/2 years, and all opinions and words are my own.
If you're thinking about buying a Jubilant, you can get one at your local Baby Lock dealer or online using my affiliate links:

Thank you so much for your easy-to-listen-to, clear, concise, informative review of this machine. I bought mine over a year ago and have been timid about using it. Thank you for your encouragement!

Thanks so much. I just bought the Jubilant because I wanted a portable machine. I have a Symphany also. I also started sewing with a BabyLock in The 90’s. Love BabyLock!

So glad you like it! I am a longtime Baby Lock fan, too!

Thank you so much, I was thinking of getting the Babylock Zeal, but now I'm thinking the Jubilant might be the right one for me. I really appreciate your thorough review and explanation! 😃

Thank you, you were very clear and helpful. I love my Crescendo but I’m thinking of travel machine.

The Jubilant is definitely a great travel machine. Since you already have a Crescendo, you'll be familiar with many of the included Baby Lock features.

My sewing machine and serger are both broke lol. Can not be repaired...😢 I am looking into the Jubliant and the Vibrant baby lock serger.

Thank you for the review! I was wondering if you would recommend it for a beginner? I was at the shop earlier today, and he recommended the Joy, and even though I am a beginner I don't want to grow out of my machine really quick. I just noticed it has a lot less stitches, a 4 step button hole, which isn't something that I find appealing because I want to make garments etc. so yeah, I hope you see this! Thank you for your time again!
@MarieSegaresundergroundcrafter
I have to say that I agree with your logic. The Joy is much less expensive but if you can afford it, I think the Jubilant will give you more room to grow. The Joy is also mechanical while the Jubilant has the display. I find that very helpful because (for example) it let's you know which presser foot to use with different stitches, if something goes wrong there is an error code you can look up in the product manual, etc. I know a lot of people believe that beginners should just get the least expensive mechanical machine, but my view point is that beginners may prefer a machine that has more built in supports as long as it is in their price range. If you do plan to make garments, I agree that a simpler button hole process will save you time.

Wondering if I should downsize to the jubilant from a Brilliant. I love that the brilliant has an automatic thread cutter, but maybe not an essential feature. Thoughts?

I have both machines now and love each of them. If I only had one, and I had the space for it, I would probably keep the Brilliant. But if I was pressed for space or on the move a lot, as I was when I first got the Jubilant, I'd stick with that. I do love the automatic thread cutting on the Brilliant, the bigger creative area, and the stitch memory. But, it depends on what you use regularly. What is your "must have" or essential feature?

I stumbled across your website when I googled Baby lock Jubilant then while reading, I found this video. You are very through and explained the machine great. I’m looking for a travel machine to take to quilt classes. I recently bought a baby lock crescendo and love it so far but it’s too heavy to transport so it will remain at home. I’ve joined a quilt class and need a smaller machine that does a great job. Does this machine come with a 1/4” foot? Thanks for the video.
@MarieSegaresundergroundcrafter
Thanks for writing. The Baby Lock Jubilant comes with the following feet: "J" ZigZag foot (on machine), "N" Monogramming foot, "G" Overcasting foot, "R" Blind Stitch foot, "M" Button Fitting foot, and "A" Buttonhole foot. A list of compatible accessories is available here: babylock.com/machines/sewing/jubilant/accessories

Hi. Thank you for your time I'm curious why you went over what comes with the machine. Wasn't that already covered in the first video you did when you unboxed it? Shouldn't the review be more about actually sewing on the machine perhaps demonstrating what the machine can do and how it sounds when operating? Especially if you have been sewing on it for any length of time.
@MarieSegaresundergroundcrafter
Thanks for your feedback! I did actually sew on the machine in the video so you can hear how it sounds when operating. I have numerous tutorials on this machine on my website that share different projects that were made with it here: undergroundcrafter.com/tag/baby-lock-jubilant/

what is the quilt stitch that looks like hand quilting?
@MarieSegaresundergroundcrafter
It's 17 (hand-look quilting stitch). It uses J foot and on page 34 in the Jubilant manual, there are tips about the thread and needle size to use.

Would you know how I would see if my Symphany needs to be updated?
@MarieSegaresundergroundcrafter
I'm not very familiar with the Symphony, but I would recommend that you connect with your local Baby Lock independent retailer: babylock.com/independent-retailers
