@mistersniffer6838 technically so does every animal and living thing. but yeah horses and dogs arent that far away related if we look at the big time spawn of things. mammals share so much in common even if we are different
You have to warn us the degree of cuteness we’re about to see! Nearly gave me a heart attack. My 7yo daughter is convinced that if we ask nicely you’ll invite us over. I didn’t mention this video was made 7y ago.
Every time the guy pets the baby horse, the tail waggles -- like a dog does. I think that baby horse really enjoyed the attention the guy was giving. I've heard people say that horses are like big dogs -- and this little horse is appreciating this human the way dogs do.
Horses are very much like big dogs. They're very affectionate, intelligent and extremely loyal... as long as you treat them well. One must love a horse the same as you would love a dog, and the horse will love you back, the same way a dog would. They're actually extremely smart animals. I personally think they're way smarter than a dog, but may be a little biased, lol...
He is extremely adorable and precious being... I'm sure he has grown up by now, I Love them no matter what age and size. Cherish and enjoy every precious moment.
Super cute. I had a commute that took me past a mixture donkey breeder and sometimes there would be 2 dozen tiny donkeys frolicking like puppies. Their heads were almost as big as their bodies and their ears were enormous. It was always a joy to drive by their coral.
That has to be one of the most adorable and cute little things I’ve ever seen! And amazing how well it runs for just three days old what a precious little baby👍🏼🤩🫡❤️
I've never really thought of horses as being cute. Majestic and beautiful, yes, but this is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. Look at that li'l clopper go. Tail waggin like a puppy and everything. 🥺🥺🥺
Such a lovely video. It's good to see something beautiful and cheering for a change. This little horse running reminds me of my Pommies when they were puppies, how they pattered along with their tiny paws. Hope this foal grows into a mighty horse.
Oh he's adorable I love the way he chases him and wags his tail. He a cutie pie and loveable too. BLESS the precious baby hope and pray he lives a long and full life. Thanks for sharing with us. ❤🐎🥰🙏From P.R. 🇵🇷
I’ve been around horses since I was big enough to sit. The day my world changed was when I got to pick a horse up (a miniature foal) and take it back to it’s momma. They had carried me all my life and I got to carry one. It was truly a magical moment!! ❤
Vanity pets. Easily mistreated and barely regulated. Cute but tragic, ‘like’ something else would be my advice ( this is why I don’t like dogs much, I guess?) day 365/22 posting from Jen in Canada 🇨🇦
Now I am not an expert on this so bear with me. But I've heard that miniaturized animals often run into health issues. It may not be the case here, but I've read that dogs "designed" and bred to be small and cute can suffer severely. It's always nice to see a cute animal, but I sometimes wonder if it's okay.
PONYBOYonline It depends. Many dogs and pigs sold as "teacup" varieties often face a number of health problems and are raised in ways to remain "stunted" such as through limited feed and malnutrition. There are also perfectly healthy miniatures (not dwarves) as in the case of American Miniature Horses which have been selectively bred over numerous generations for their health and vigor. They are exact copies of their larger equine counterparts but have no additional health problems than any other horse. Dwarf animals, on the other hand, can be the same size or smaller than miniatures but can suffer health issues such as deformities, joint degeneration and bone problems. So as I said, it depends.
PONYBOYonline Miniature horses are generally quite hardy. They are closely related to shetland ponies (Which are very tiny and long lived). They have been bred to have different proportions from the shetlands, but remain exceptionally strong for their size, and generally out-live their larger cousins by a good 10-15 years. Unlike some other animals, the larger the horse, the more soundness issues it is likely to have.
PONYBOYonline Unethical breeders motivated by greed caused this problem. They breed "teacup" chihuahuas for small size and cute appearance only, thinking they will make more money that way. A good breeder should always take into consideration the health of the animal as a top priority. Normal chihuahuas usually weigh between 4 to 8 pounds and generally enjoy excellent health. They will outlive any dogs or wolves found in nature, even though the chihuahua breed was obviously "designed" to be small from the beginning (by Native Americans in the Chihuahua region thousands of years ago).
+PONYBOYonline Overbreeding and inbreeding in general is what causes health problems. If a chihuahua and another chihuahua mate and they each have diverse enough genetic backgrounds, you'll get some healthy puppies, as far as the breed goes. If a chihuahua mates with its sibling or child or parent or cousins (which a lot of unethical breeders force in order to retain "special" traits) you'll have some especially unhealthy puppies. But each breed has a their issues mainly due to overbreeding in order to retain desired traits (smooshed faces, big ears, short legs, etc.), so if two dogs of two different breeds mated (i.e. a chihuahua and a terrier) you'd have a much hardier dog than any purebred (generally speaking).
I don't think that's the case with miniature horses though, as they're considered just that: horses. They're not dwarfed, because they remain the proportions of a horse. It's hard to explain unless you see them, so wikipedia... The top two pics - the gray one (amazing) doesn't like a pony! It looks almost like a miniature Arabian, who are very elegant and who has a head like that.
Hehe, true. But they wanna stay with mom though. If nothing else, to eat! (Or drink, rather.) Nah, they want to feel safe. They tend to follow mom like a little sidecar. Unless there's another foal - then they roughhouse. :)
