A musk turtle tank should be cleaned more often than a normal turtle tank because 1.) They use less water therefore it will get murkier faster and because 2.) They have an overpowering scent, hence the name "musk turtle." A water change should be done every 3 days or so and the tank should be cleaned with Dawn dishsoap every week or so.
