Thank you co-founder Dave, and the amazing volunteers at the Vervet Monkey Foundation, for rescuing orphaned baby monkeys. You are a blessing and a miracle for these tiny helpless scared, hurt, and lonely little wild monkeys. It hurts my heart when a monster leaves an evil comment. But when I continue to watch your excellent, informational, educational, and heartwarming videos I'm reminded there are good people in this world. Thank you for all you do, and blessings for a long and fruitful future.

I really wish all of the non licensed vets would stop telling these people what they should or shouldn't feed these baby monkey's. They know what they're doing and how to feed them. It's so annoying to constantly read messages saying you should do this or that. Just shut up and watch the video.

@@ak_2117 I think it’s fair to say , based on the last few times I had to take a pet to the vet , that the VMF know more about what to feed them as well as how to most effectively help sustain them after trauma and the crashes they endure than just about any main-stream educated vet these days. Very sadly , veterinary medicine has gone the same way mainstream human medicine has gone. It’s a mess. How insane that in western medical school , nutrition 101 is an option , if one *wants* to add it to the required curriculum. Humans are going to look back at what is now ‘modern medicine’ in 100 years in much the same way as we look back at using leeches to draw out infection long ago. Lol , actually I think it’s been shown that that wasn’t that far off the mark in efficacy .

I've been supporting the VMF the best I can because they are Super Humans in my eyes!! They sacrifice so much for these babies, the troops and even the Bandits!! Some of the videos are hard to watch...almost impossible really when a baby doesn't make it and I know the staff are hurting every bit as we do but they keep going like troopers and I will always love each and every one of them for it!! 💖💜💓💙🐒🐒🐒

Sitting here with my 8 year old daughter watching Toni eat her watermelon my daughter asked if she can give more of her money she gets for doing her chores. We give what we can on patreon but I told her that we also give to BOS for the Orangutans in Borneo and for the Gorillas. My daughter understood. She also told me that Josie has a heart of gold

They are so fragile at that age, then if you add in the trauma of having their mom killed before their eyes, well then it's no wonder Pasall was having nightmares and was touch and go a couple of times! You ALL at the VMF are really amazing people for the extreme care that you give to these orphans and for the sacrifices in your personal lives, I THANK YOU and I will continue to support you with donations, and on-line support! 💖

Pascall is the one who saw his mom killed. Toni was found on the road alone and curled up in a ball. He was very weak and his body temperature was very low. He was also limited to what he could eat because he had diarrhea. He was in very bad shape. Thank God due to their care at VMF he is doing much better now.

It's pretty funny to watch idiots from the internet telling trained biologists who are literally saving these animals that they should puree their food, that they are feeding them wrong, keeping them awake, etc. Think people - each thing they do is being done for a reason you couldn't comprehend. Are they going to use a food processor when they go back to the jungle? Etc etc. Just so you know they probably laugh and roll their eyes at you, as most of us who see the irony do, as well.

What's sad is there are people with not a lot to eat there, and any fresh meat from frogs dogs cats snakes, bats and rats, monkey sounds like feeding the family a few days. It is sad, but ever known someone from Cambodia vietnam or Thailand that was fat ?

@Sienna Dark hi I don't know if you saw my comment above, but people who live in countries Taiwan Cambodia, Vietnam for instance, rarely do you see an obese person..after they live here awhile they can. I wouldn't WANT to eat a monkey.but hungry enough after 2 -3 days the family dog would be looking pretty good

My eyes are looking like Pascal's from tears!! Oh the horrors these babies have seen and gone through just tears my heart up!!! For future reference, how about trying little baby socks on their hands while they're sleeping so they don't scratch their faces (and yes, I mean dear sweet Pascal)??? I did that with my son and it worked!! Thank You Dave, Josie and everyone who have gone above and beyond for Pascal, Toni, and all the other babies this season!!! It might be very frustrating for a baby that has already suffered a lot of trauma. I am not certain how much an infant vervet this young attempts to suckle their thumbs but I do know that for an infant macaque this young it borders on cruel to cover their hands like that since they frequently suckle their thumbs/fingers for comfort. They often suckle their mom's nipple solely for comfort (comfort suckling) because suckling is such a strong survival instinct for them and if they do not have their mom's breast to suckle like these babies then they will find a substitute which is frequently their own fingers. To not allow them to do so is extremely stressful for them (usually in addition to all of the stress and anxiety they are already experiencing).

Sometimes I watch these baby videos again as a reminder of where they started and what they've become. This is such a good example of the miraculous things VMF does. Toni was yellow, when he crashed and it's as if Josie "willed" him to stay alive. Thank you Josie & everyone, you're remarkable people.

Watching the May video about these babies. I had so search back to see them when they first came to the VMF. I tremendously like the closed Captioning. Without it I would miss a lot of what is being said. It does, sometimes, make for some odd statements. I think what the keeper was saying was they were trying the baby with some Pawpaw, but what the captioning said was that they were giving the bay some "purple" milk. Thank all of you for the care and concern you give to the monkeys.

Another amazing video! I am in love with sweet baby girl Toni...her sweet little noises she makes are like the others but also not it’s seems like she’s more talkative for being so young also she looks a bit different, possibly because she is so small and underweight so her face is sunken in a bit but it changes her face from the others but she is still an absolute doll! From watching the video you can see she is very thankful and knows her life was saved by you guys...she’s a smart girl. I look forward to seeing her grow up and find her perfect surrogate mother and troop! Thank you for all you guys do for these little guys, you truly are a blessing to each of them! Think of it this way, if a couple is out with friends, a man might jokingly refer to his wife as "the old battle axe". It sounds terrible, but it would be considered funny if his wife and the other couple knew that the husband loved his wife. I constantly call my dogs "The Nitwits". My friends know what I'm referring to, and they also know that I love them dearly. I hope that clears it up a bit.

Oh I do not know how y’all are able to do this without breaking down and crying over the things that are done to these babies and their moms. So sick and so sad. I’m crying right now thinking about it. All these babies have a horror story to tell if they spoke. But they don’t so they have all of it in their heads to deal with. I wish I could just hug them and somehow let them know they are in the best place to be and they will have love. Thank you all for everything you are doing for the babies that come to you. If I had the money and was healthy enough I would come and volunteer all the time and be happy to get a chance to help them.

Annette! You're just a kid. I'm 75 and talked with VMF about volunteering. Josie counseled me quite wisely and compassionately that the terrain would be too challenging for me--I have Multiple Sclerosis and cannot walk on uneven ground. But I gave it a shot.

How absolutely beautiful she is and so very strong to have made it into your loving care! That little coo she makes when you feed her is just adorable! That's got to be a good sign ...she feels like you are listening to her! She really chats at you! Cutest noises ever!! Great job!!! She doesn't even feel the need to suck her thumb for reassurance!!! So happy you can help these little babies! From watching other videos posted showing people supposedly caring for these guys, UNFORTUNATELY YOU STAND OUT AS ONE ON A MILLION AND ARE SO FAR AHEAD OF THE OTHERS IN EVERYWAY! It’s so strange how these go from having pale pink faces with regular black hair on top to having dark black faces with a kinda golden brown hair on top. These babies look like a different species from their adult appearance.

I made a big mistake today watching one of those videos with people trying to make monkeys like little humans. I can't anymore. U guys are doing right with these adorable monkeys. I think you guys are amazing and have a proper healthy way of caring for these wild animals as God intended for them ❤

Some people just don't understand that animals have feelings and emotions too and think they can do whatever to them. I don't understand how they can do stuff like that and not feel horrible about it. It's amazing and scary how many people don't have a conscience, no moral compass. These babies are very lucky, however, that they were found by people who care and brought to the best possible place to get the care and attention they desperately need. I really wish I could go and volunteer there. It's always been my dream to be able to work with little guys like these. But it's impossible so I live vicariously through you guys and donate what I can. I know people tell you all the time how much you all are appreciated, but you really are. Keep up the amazing work you do! 💙💙💙

@The Barber try your hardest not to watch those channels. Doing so pays them and gives those sick viewers a thrill. Stick with these guys and if you can't donate, at least you are helping by watching.

@The Barber yes, those break my heart as well. I refuse to watch any of them cuz if I did, I'd only get frustrated and angry and it would only be "supporting" them. I do watch other videos where babies like these are rescued and cared for and what really makes me angry is when trolls comment things saying they are "tree rats" "I'm gonna feed it to my pet snake" and crap like that. There's worse but I'm not gonna repeat it. I don't understand why they are watching videos of baby monkeys being rescued if they obviously hate them. People are sick

Thank you for taking such excellent care of these little babies. It's so good to see this level of care. Unfortunately I see too many other videos (different chanel) of a young woman feeding and bathing a similar type of baby monkey using disturbing behaviors such as open handed smacks, holding their faces to the ground, and using unnecessary roughness. Have you seen these videos...thoughts?

Yes, but I try stay away from those channels as the more they are watched the more money they make, so everytime one mentions them and people go visit they make money - not sure why youtube does not remove them - they have shown they have the capability to do it.

I don't see how they are included with the other non-abusive professional nature videos. It is infuriating and sickening. I wish I never would have seen them. It's hard to believe RU-vid I did my part to try and stop them. I just wondered I guess if anyone with applicable education, knowledge, and/or experience also felt this way and/or had voiced a concern? Thanks Again

What happens to all the Moms ? Poor babies now I know what happened to his Mom that’s sad. I am so glad you guys have the baby now at least he will have a chance to live.
