I truly enjoyed watching the video. I could not stop laughing at Button being so over protective of the new addition to the group. I will try to get a few more dollars to y’all again. Thank you guys for everything you do! I love watching these little monkeys but I don’t like it when they are not in their natural environment. It’s very upsetting to see. The volunteers are amazing as well! I’m from CANADA 🇨🇦 as well as one of your volunteers. So exciting to see!!!

What a treasure this video is! Means so much to see babies be drawn into their new families and loved by the entire troop, or at least many of the troop. The hugs and cuddles and sharing the joy in every new baby troop member is amazing! The videos are becoming better and better, with more and more wonderful commentary. So exciting to receive notification of a new video both on YT and on Patreon. Thank you for everything you do, the kindness to all ages of Vervets, the appreciation for all of us who do what we can to help, your own tireless efforts to save these babies. You are amazing, all of you. God bless you for all you do for His little creatures. That was awesome! Looks like it's going very well! Sweet Jethro, wasn't it last year he adopted one of the babies? (I just checked and it was Rox, the little one had such a rough start in life and lost one leg. Hope he is doing well!) Thank you for the video!

Yes it was baby Rox with the one leg who had a hard beginning and he was a bit of a nightmare in the introcage by being over confident and extremely hyper, so it’s no surprise when they went out in the troop that all the moms kinda either gave up watching hyper baby lol or he saw Jethro around and figured he would be more fun... next thing you know Jethro is walking around proudly with his huge handsome baby boy on his belly and the crew was in shock because of how rare it is! I just love Jethro he is one unique monkey 🐵 ❤️ !!!

@@tanyatigermarshall7878 I hope he gets a baby as well! He was so good with Rox and he was so patient and tried to be helpful with trying to help with the release of Punim. He surely is Mr Mom I just love him, he’s the only male he waits along at during the whole months long wait while the babies are with their new mommies in the intro cages anxious to meet them and he’s always their hoping to get picked to get in as well. I feel bad for him. Hawk always cracks me up as well the bandit who’s always their on the outside watching right next to the humans I feel like it’s her entertainment but the troop never feels threatened by her and starts fights with her right next to the cage and the their babies which is cool because any other bandit it’s an instant fight. Sometimes I do feel like she wishes she could get a baby though and others I just think she’s bored. 😂 I love this place and all they do.

@@harassarah9551 I love this place as well! If I wasn't so old, disabled and financially limited I would really go live there and help! I do have so many favorites but I will never forget Jethro carrying Rox just like a mom. I just fell in love with him. I do think he would have taken Punim if he could have, so awesome! You are right, Hawk is pretty awesome too! These monkeys are really intelligent! Bless all the workers and volunteers!!

Another wonderfully engaging video providing the unique opportunity to observe close up the stages of development and behaviors of these darlings. The adult females so quickly adopting and protecting even multiple babies is a marvelous thing to see. Their excitement of having a new baby is palpable. These mums are amazing! To see Punim, Bru and Kinney play as they remain together is elating. Precious, precious, precious! As emotional it all is for me to watch, I can only imagine how much it means to you who give so much of your lives, your hearts, the trials and tribulations, tears, fears and joys to make each bonding experience a reality. You are all to be treasured for what you do with selfless love to insure the health and safe future these valuable beings. Hugs of appreciation to all of you!😊

Aweee I wanted to hear the rest of the story where she was explaining to a volunteer about a mom who wouldn't let her baby drink for almost 24 hours also it was given to a mom a week too early? See I think you guys should also tell US some interesting stories about some of the crazy cute monkey's! And the babies art,Fritz and aurora Hang in on the ropes is so damn adorable, I wonder how anyone doesn't explore with the cuteness factor!!!!!

What is that little backward walk I see monkeys do particularly younger monkeys. Some sort of hesitation? Insecurity? That is the way I see it but I could be wrong.

What an amazing episode, I’m so happy they are all in the troop and settled living like they were meant to as monkeys 🐵 and loved 🥰!! It always warms my heart when I hear the troop chitter with excitement to welcome the babies once you open the gate and the Mommies start to walk through the gate with babies on their bellies.... what an awesome show of support and welcome to the family for those babies, I can’t even put into words how emotional that makes me and I can’t imagine how truly cool that would be in person, I truly hope to see it one day. Jethro is the sweetest male and I was kinda hoping he would end up becoming Mr. Mon to Punim, maybe he still will...he’s so wonderful with the babies and always patiently watched over them. Well if not Punim then maybe one day he will get another misfit like Rox who needs someone like Jethro to watch over him, Punim kinda fits that description so fingers crossed 🤞 it still works out! 😂 Button cracked me up giving you guys eyebrows while she was taking her job seriously as babysitter, she’s come a long way since last year, it was good to see her Rene and Rox having fun, healthy and growing big and fluffy! Thank you again for another amazing video, I look forward to seeing next week’s video!! ❤️ 🐵

I Very much enjoy watching and listening to these videos. It would be very good if the filmers would be sure there is only one person talking at a time. It is confusing when this happens and we cannot hear both speakers. This happens quite often.

We have seen the newly collected babies make the specific call hunting their mom. Do the moms make a specific call if their babies get too far away? I love these. I enjoy every one of them. I, like so many, are interested to see Floki move into the next step of him finding a family. Thank each and all of you for the work you do caring for the monkeys. Bru is so cute. He is like "I do not know exactly what is going on, but I'm going to hang on to this safety mom." I suspect that before too long Bru is going to get more hungry and have to turn loose to eat, or Martha is going to encourage him to explore a bit.

I just love how bru is holding on so far back , he looks funny but happy . And philam is so independent, thinking just needs an adult to just feel safe and show what their food is. And Kinny is is showing some individual independent but staying close to mom in some way. So is Martha mom to 2 little ones or not

You can only get a visa for max 3 years, its also hard to survive on virtually no income for an extended period of time, he is busy working on The Vervet Forest Movie which he will be selling to raise funds for the foundation

@@VervetMonkey Yeah, I knew that, but I research the Macaques the most so I was comparing the species. So I’m assuming the babies generally get a pass because they are being fostered? I remember one episode where the infant had to be euthanized because she sustained a severe skull fracture injury from a troop member. I guess you hope for the best in allowing them to live their natural lives.

I really enjoy your channel. Vervets are my favorites. They’re beautiful as babies and adults. Fortunately they are not “ saved” and exploited like the Asian monkeys, although somehow Baboons have been showing up lately. A few Vervet baby shows have been broadcast in America. Little Curtis and Mojo. Little C mysteriously disappeared when he aged out ? but Mojo is still being exploited. Wonderful to see all your good work. I’ll send a donation your way when I’m able to.

Hey first of all all of you are wonderful people for doing this program there isn't alot of people who care enough about animals much less each other , but I had question not sure if this is the proper way to ask but is there any predators that find there way in these areas besides snakes I'm assuming thank you and Bless you all keep up the good work...

I hope your sanctuary has some kind of boundaries. Outside of this sanctuary Vervet’s are considered pests, and there is no limit on how many can be killed. A hunter shot a troop of 20 in around 10 minutes. I asked about the babies. He said he waited until they were teens.

Man... I know it's soothing to the monkeys and I feel like a total selfish a**hole, but I cannot STAND that frickin noise!!! Ugh it's like nails down a chalkboard! I absolutely hate it!!! I have to fast forward through it sometimes. Pshew... Ok... I finally got that off my chest lol

Its the method behind it, you cannot take a baby monkey and just put it in any troop it could easily be killed, the program has been developed over a long period of time

Those adult males look like they still have all of their original factory installed equipment. Are they less likely than other species to kill babies that are not theirs?

Males only kill babies to bring females back into cycle as vervets have a fixed cycle and only produce offspring at a ceretain time of the year, there is no viable reason for adults to remove babies

If I remember correctly all the males have a vasectomy at 2.5 years of age.

They only have one baby a year and there populations have been on the decline since man arrived in Africa - its not wildlife that needs a steralization program its man - but I think bill gates has just soerted that out
