Love the nest box set up. Not new to rabbits but expanding and looking at ideas. New subscriber here. Saw ark-la-Tex on the papers. We’re neighbors!! From Murfreesboro.
Duke, it's always fascinating to learn how you raise your rabbits. Your clamp-on, heater-reflector lights are what I use in the kitchen when making cooking videos. The baby rabbits look healthy even to my novice eyes! Thanks for the good show my friend! All the best to you, Mrs. Gitter, and The Gang!
Sleet and rain here in the uk so trains and motorways will grind to a halt !!, does are grand 2 x litters of 8 plus another doe due in next day or so! Keep enjoying it all Mr Duke , catch u on your next video, cheers Pal
I raised rabbits most of my life, I stopped in 2007. I still have modular ss cages in my shed in case I ever need them. They are good eating. Thanks and take care. Good video.
That's a nifty way to keep 'em warm. I've never raised them, but I'm starting to see them sold commercially in grocery stores up my way. Unfortunately, they're farm raised from China.
@@RuffCut It's the framing of an observation tower atop a mountain I frequently hike. I crested the summit one evening and captured the Kodak moment, as they say.
I see how double would be great, healthy looking kittens tho, I do like the clip on lights great tips on cleanliness and maintenance. Nice job Duke and Helper :-)
I've never raised rabbits for meat, though it has been on my list of things I'd like to try. I trap cottontails and eat them. My guess is that the domestic rabbits are a lot better tasting than these wild ones are.
I quit hunting rabbits when I started raising them so its been a long time....what I can remember, they may of had a slightly better taste but I know the farm raised are more tender. It's interesting, trapping a rabbit, never did that
Thats what i did 2 yrs ago but i still have my jill she had been retired from breeding but she is my oldest girl and i cant bring myself to calling. Her when she passes ill get another young doe my wife can only work with the three during the winter
Why are they not getting any hay? 80% of what rabbits eats are suppose to be hay! That's important for their stomack and digestive system. And also for the teeth.
Duke, what is the dimensions of each cage you have here? You scared me when you jumped, lol. Good video buddy, thanks for sharing, Carl and Dawn Homestead
