This week I start working on the rabbit cages and getting them ready for winter. Nesting boxes are first on order and I make these out of OSB boards. #homesteading #woodworking #nestingbox
I'm kind of surprised that this doesn't have more views. I guess most rabbitries must be buying their nest boxes. With back log though, I don't have time to wait. Thanks for posting this! I think it'll make my pregnant doe's cage very crowded, so I might need to move her before she approaches kindle date...
It is a bit more crowded, but the doe will jump on top of it to rest. It also gives them the ability to get away from the kits when they start following momma around the cage.
That is because, that specific kinda plywood is treated with glues and chemicals, for termites and a wrought-repellent. Regular pine hardwood untreated is fine to chew on BUT IT'SGONNA COST A BIT MORE.
