One of the things I loved about Baby Driver is cars that Baby drives. Especially the point that they kept most of them look stock(may well be because they are getaway cars) , not stupidly over modified like other car action movies. Wrx, avalanche, hellcat, and so on.

This scene and the WRX heist are probably the best parts of the movie to be honest. Watching this scene makes me want a Challenger even though I'm not the biggest fan of Dodge 😂.

When you combine a director who has both a love of doing every stunt practically with no green screen, plus one of the best understandings of the importance of a spectacular soundtrack, then its going to be one of the best movie ever. And Edgar took it a step further! Not only did he shoot the entire film so that all the noises from the action sync up with the soundtrack, he made the fucking soundtrack one of the most important parts of the movie. The way I look at it, the soundtrack is the main character in this film. Ansel was fucking fantastic but this movie would have never worked without this combination of music and editing...

Even the turning of the steering wheel is timed to the beat of the song

i just love how the door chime just fits in with the song so good

1:16 Look at the top of the screen and you will see the camera shot subtly, but violently, shake back and forth for less than a second when the car starts the drift towards the camera. So this shot was done practically, and its a real car doing the stunt which means that a cameraman had to be there to get the action and then push the camera forwards towards the actors after the drift was completed. Looks like the cameraman had a brief moment of panic when the car started the drift, but recovered beautifully to the point where nobody except a drunk film school dropout such as myself would really notice. Fantastic piece of film making and great music choices.

Made the Challenger sound like Brian’s 2 Fast 2 Furious Skyline (1:00)

The thing i like about this scene is, you can hear the engine noise in inside of the Challenger is louder compared to any other car that baby has driven in the movie.

I like this scene except for 1:06 where the stunt driver is countersteering right to fight the oversteer but the actor is clearly turning left.

Iam a charger fan, but the challenger in modern form has to be one of the most awesome cars.

This incredible film has everything good, music, incredible car chases and a love story. This scene with Challenger for me is one of the best. I've loved this car since the first Madmax 1:43

I just watched this movie. The Challenger is no hellcat, it is a scat pack. It is a 2015+ torred R/T Scatpack with the SRT 392 hood (not the hellcat hood) and it remains to keep its origional bumper too (not hellcat) it also has its badges deleted from the side and grill. It has the R/T seats, which is the base seat in the R/T Scatpack where you can also option the seat with the scat pack bee. It has its origional scat pack wheels in the front and possibly the other style scat pack wheels in the back or a completely different wheel. This could also just be an R/T but I doubt it

As if I didn't love this movie or that car enough already...

I love Baby Driver ~ a chick flick as good as they come! Loved the excitement throughout ~ car chases, music, characters. Held my breath to the end waiting for him to get killed. Enjoyed everything ~ except~ fearing the sequel will kill everything Baby gained ~ the love of his life, chance for a normal life. Hope she doesn’t ditch him and some bad guys break him out of prison and more crazy car action running from the cops. Haven’t seen a whole lot of car movies, but guessing Baby has to go solo in sequel. Perhaps NOT a chick flick after all
