I just seen your video. That’s a really nice tegu you pick up and your female is beautiful really high white. I subscribe to your channel and 👍 for sure bro.
Ive had mine for well over 3 years now. They dont get that big, which makes them perfect for me to handle. Mine is about the same size as yours, quite docile. It was around the same size as your juvenile when I first got her. Still easy to handle, but it hurts when she bites now.
Man, are they generally this docile? I got mine at the Houston reptile expo a couple weeks ago and have been handling him daily but he freaks out when I try to pick him up. First time with a tegu and just figured it takes a lot of time, but it's crazy that he was that docile out of a bag.
Are both of them high white blue tegu ? I just bought a high white last month it about 3 or 4 months old it a blue for sure but looks nothing like your. Who did you get yours from?
Taming techniques would be awesome! Mine doesn't mind me touching him but as soon as i try pick him up he tries to run lol should i just grab him & hold him? I don't wanna stress him out so hard to tell he's eating well & bowel movments are as normal.
Captive bred tegus are more common, so if it's not a gold tegu, it's probably a captive bred animal. I have a male red tegu that's about 6 months, and he's as big as some yearlings I've seen. I have a yearling female black and white that eats just as much as he does, yet he has out grown her. If you're thinking of getting one, they are one of the most rewarding reptiles to keep, but they grown unbelievably fast! They have out grown 3 Cage's so far, and right now I'm building a new one that is 8ft by 4ft! You shouldn't really have a cage smaller than that for a juvenile-adult tegu
@@DivaCrowd I'm not disagreeing totally, but have you met most reptiles? My python sits in one spot for at LEAST 12 hrs a day... an overnight shipping in the proper temps probably isn't unbearable for them...
HOW TF DO THEY BREATHE in the container, I mean idk what temperature but imagine you get shipped from another state beautiful color but I if I was the lizard I would kms
LilCinnamonRoll have you ever traveled in a tube ? Like a plane or a train ? Dogs go in travel cages all the time. This is safe for them. They actually feel secure when like this.
@@truzilla__ I'm sure if they're shipped with FedEx they're very rough with their packages. And I don't think you can compare it with a train ride or a flight because we people know exactly whats going on when we step into the train or plain. These animals do not...
They can see uv light outside we can't and we look different when outside in the uv also uv cannot go through Windows but after a few times they should calm down outside
Wow how can you trust sending an animal by post its very scary I run my own business and even by so called good couriers some boxes turn up totally smashed that can only been don by some one jumping on it or its been put under heavy boxes and there is not any couriers that deliverers 100% next day vehicles break down humans go sick this is actually animal cruelty
