It's amazing. Im 43 now. I remember watching this at 15 years old. Since then I have grown as a person. I have seen a lot of things, traveled the world. And now that I am getting old I see many people like Londo running through life. Wishing everything was back the way that it was. Afraid of change. Afraid of the future. I understand them. But I don't agree with them. You have to roll with the changes. And keep on rolling. Yesterday is gone. Today is here. And Tomorrow is coming. Being stuck in the past doesn't favor you.

Morden is like “Winner winner. Chicken dinner”

Londo of course gets everything he asks for. He’s left alone. Alone for decades. His people again attempt to control the universe. He gains the prestige that lets opportunities come to him, and he can take his time making important decisions. His people become conquerors once more, and are hated for it as before. And Mr. Morden, who was looking for ambition that would not be satisfied: got what he wanted.

This is one of the things I liked about Babylon 5 as a series. The Shadows, the series' villains, weren't the one-note caricatures of evil they might have become in another writer's hands. And their opponents, the Vorlons, weren't the white-hatted, pure-hearted good guys they could have been made either. Morden asked this same question to G'Kar, and the Shadows found G'Kar's anwser -- a rage-fueled lust for vengeance -- totally uncompelling. The Shadows were proponents of violence and ruthlessness yes, but it was violence and ruthlessness harnessed to a higher purpose, not violence for its own sake. G'Kar, speaking for the Narn, articulated a desire for nihilistic destruction, and nothing more. Londo articulated the desire for a grand ambition. A desire to _create_ -- to create a great and enduring empire -- as opposed to a desire just to destroy a hated foe. The Narn did just want to destroy, and it left the Shadows totally uninterested. And in an twist of true irony, G'Kar's rage ended up saving his people. Because although Londo's desire to ennoble his people, as opposed to just tearing out the throat of a hated enemy, was arguably nobler, he ended up making a Faustian bargain that cost him and his people almost everything. G'Kar not only avoided that fate --ironically because of his base hatred, not any sort of nobility -- he then subsequently came to a genuinely high state of enlightenment and wisdom, transcending his hatred and growing past it. It's one of the best character arcs in all of fiction.

Morden was a great character. Kudos to him for his performance. And Peter of course 😊👍👏❤🇳🇱

Oh Londo... You should have known better. You never could see people for what they were, until it was too late.
