Who was attacking B5 in this scene? We would presume it was the Shadows, but when was close individual combat ever their style? They just blow stuff up. Interestingly when the scene was first conceived, Michael O’Hare wasn’t slated to leave the show. In the original plan what we see here would have been an assault by the Minbari warrior caste gone rogue.
I always thought it was showing a reality of Babylon 4, since it goes back in time to a Great War if I recall correctly… Idk, wibbly wobbly time visions. xD
@@Lucas-Stl War Without End explains it. What is depicted here is what happens if B4 isn't sent back in time. The Shadows wouldn't have been as heavily defeated, and would have been much stronger, taking out B5. War Without End parts 1 and 2 is the other side to Babylon Squared.
Could've been some shadow minions sicced on the station. Remember the invisible soldier from the sleeper ship. Those wouldn't exist if they didn't do close combat once in a while.
