It was so full of energy that I couldn't believe it was our first headlining show. Everyone was singing my part with such a loud voice that it didn't matter if their voice got hoarse. Their eyes were glued to the moment, and they were enjoying this space with their entire being. Is there such an incredible level of enthusiasm? I thought everyone would break down. Are you all okay? The excitement was so high, and perhaps it was because the audience was young, but you could really feel that they had been waiting for this. We also received a lot of energy from them, and even the staff, who were a bit tired after the tour with Sabaton, became energized. It was amazing.""

Japan, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, some parts in EU and now Indonesia are some of the wildest and most fun concert crowds I've seen so far not just for babymetal but for other popular metal/rock bands as well. 😮

from interview with PMC magazine: Interviewer (Itv): After the Sabaton tour, you went on a tour of Asia and Australia, which had been cancelled due to the Corona disaster. How was it? Su: I could really feel that they had been waiting for us. I could feel it at every venue. Especially, everyone was saying, "Indonesia was amazing! I was especially impressed by the atmosphere of Indonesia (crowd). Itv: What kind of amazingness? Su: I don't even have to sing. Itv: ......? SU-METAL: They were singing along so hard to everything that I thought to myself “I guess I don’t even need to sing, do I? Maybe I should just give them the mic!” (laughs). They must have been listening to our songs a LOT and had been looking forward to this day for a long time. They were singing so loudly, like they didn’t care if they went hoarse, and watching the stage with such enthusiasm while jumping up and down non-stop, not wanting to miss even a single moment. They were so excited that I thought they’d probably collapse tomorrow, and it was a spectacle that really deserves to be described as “wholehearted”!

Thank you for this! I can’t believe the crowd, really amazing. I just watched one of the new London shows and thought THAT crowd was intense. Nice to see the girls acknowledged the complete awesomeness of this particular show. One of the best if not the best fancam shows I’ve yet seen of them. I saw them myself last month and they are one of the best live experiences I’ve ever witnessed. And I’ve seen several hundreds of bands at this point!

from HEDOBAN VOL. 40 2023 BABYMETAL Interview I: In our last interview, MOAMETAL mentioned that she wanted to visit Asia on the upcoming BABYMETAL tour, and now that this wish has come true, is there any country in particular that left a strong impression? Moa: The cheering in every country was impressive, but the three of us all agree that Indonesia in particular was something else. I: Ah, the Jakarta concert. I think you’ve been there before once? Moa: Yes we have. What year was that? Su: I think it was about 10 years ago, for an anime festival. (September 7, 2013 for “Anime Festival Asia 2013 Indonesia) Moa: I knew it had been about 10 years or so. Maybe it’s because it had been such a long time since our last visit, but the crowd was super excited, and moreover everyone was singing a lot. I think it might have been the best show ever when it comes to audience singing. I: Wow, the best ever!? Su: They were all singing my part too, to the point where I thought to myself “I guess I don’t even need to sing, do I?” (laughs) I: Singing the chorus together with you? Su: Oh no, I mean every single one of my lines! I: That’s quite something. Su: So I thought they could probably just do the concert themselves even without me (laughs). I: In a way, that’s more impressive than what we see from Japanese crowds? Moa: They went even further beyond what we see in Japan! They just kept singing non-stop! (laughs) Su: It was like they were unleashing all the passion that had been building up as they waited for 10 years. Moa: And as we talked about earlier, there were a lot of young people in Jakarta, many cosplaying in our costumes. Some of them seemed like fans that we might have even seen there 10 years before, while others were very young and so we assumed they’d only learned of BABYMETAL relatively recently. I wonder how they found out about us? It was quite surprising to see such a wide range of generations at the shows. I thought that since it had been 10 years since the last time, the audience would have all gotten older, but my expectations were certainly mistaken. Su: I think it was partly a youthful energy, but I also felt that they were striving not to miss a single moment, because “who knows when BABYMETAL will come back again”? and that was really something to see. I: The fact that SU-METAL can feel that from the crowd is quite something. Su: They were just so passionate! I could tell they were throwing their entire body and spirit into it, and were having so much fun to the point of collapsing from exhaustion. I wonder if I’ve ever seen another show like that before. Moa: On the flip side, the Sabaton tour was certainly not a home crowd. I haven’t felt so away from home in a long time (laughs). There were some with their eyes closed not even looking at us, and there were others who dutifully waved their towels but without any enthusiasm or sense of having fun, so in comparison, the Asia tour… I was just extraordinarily happy with the reaction from the Indonesian fans in particular. It was such a relief to find out they loved BABYMETAL this much!

I was at this concert, it was amazing. unfortunately the stage sound wasn't very good, i was on the right side of the stage. but I'm really happy to see babymetal again after 10 years, what an amazing show!!!
