Welcome to the BabyMetal Galaxy, finally you arrived to this crazy trip around the world. This song got the collaboration of Polyphia guitarists, Tim Henson and Scott LePage. Recently Polyphia got a viral clip when they were performing live and having an issue with the drummer IEM not working and a roadie had to help in a unorthodox way to save the show, highly recommend to watch that clip. Tim Henson also said when listening this song that he would love to play this song along with BabyMetal on the stage, he didn't knew the final cut when he was doing the riffs on this song. The dance on this song is beautiful, they're showing another mature side song. According to MoaMetal is the hardest song to dance along with BxMxC and Night Night Burn iirc. Song is inspired on certain "City Pop" band and Utada Hikaru songs, when SuMetal heard this she doubt about this being a metal song but then the guitars solo were added and all make senses suddenly. The third backup dancer or avenger in this Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 concert was Riho Sayashi. Apparently some fans are finding vibes of this song on the new single Monochrome, i can find the same pace and mature side vibes, maybe the message of the lyrics too, but not the same sound, totally different but both songs are enjoyable in their own way. Since the girls worked really hard for this song and we can't appreciate and see them dancing properly, only tiny shapes of them with a huge wall screen behind, then i recommend you to watch the live at Budokan 2021 version, really more beautiful visually. Overall you get the message of this song and that's another amazing thing they can do after knowing them a little bit more and paying attention to what is actually happening around with the visuals. Btw, since you're gonna watch "Da Da Dance" i recommend you to watch first their usual intro called "Future Metal", not sure if it is at BMRR but pretty sure you can find it around, also the official MV doesn't have live audio, for your consideration. 💕 ⚡ / 🌅 This is a rare one. They've only performed 'Brand New Day' live three times. This 'LEGEND - METAL GALAXY' performance on January 25th, 2020 was the world premiere. They performed it again in March at two of the ten 2021 Nippon Budokan concerts. The supporting dancer/avenger in this video was Miss Riho Sayashi, former "Absolute Ace" in the Idol group Morning Musume. Su's range on the 'Metal Galaxy' album blows me away. Every song shows off something different about her vocal abilities. It's not surprising that she spent more time in the studio for this album than for either of the first two records.

That's right what you say. They're a live band. And even what did not impress in the audio recording, when viewing the concert version, turns the opinion 180 degrees. In my case, it happened with the song "meta taro"

Babymetal is most appreciated when seen live. Which is why they decided to put off live activities for a year. and now we all know they weren't goofing off!

Such a good choice to start off on for Metal Galaxy. I like to describe this as "a metalhead's idealized memory of a 90s pop ballad". I feel like this one really shows off the fact that Su could have chosen to be a regular pop singer and she would have absolutely killed it.

Uplifting, beautiful, angelic👊🏽⚡️This song Prozac without the side effects. Su’s voice is so cutting. Her voice cuts through all imaginable music.

I have to admit, when I first listened to this song, it wasn't one of my favorites. But after going through this pandemic, this song hits differently and harder now. I actually get emotional with the song now, which is very surprising from my first impression of it. Now it's one of my pick-me-up song when I am having a bad day.

The Legend Metal Galaxy shows in Mukuhari Messe were gorgeous. This is actually my favorite BABYMETAL song. I love them because of Su's voice and the choreography/production. This is a beautiful performance and a fantastic display of Su's talent. In general I think Metal Galaxy was really a showcase for Su's vocal talent. From this song to Shanti Shanti to Shine that album was about Su. I think the new album will be the same.

I will admit this song had to grow on me - and I needed the live performance for that to happen ... love it now of course and when Su sings "Its gonna be OK all right" I really do believe her.😊 The Metal Galaxy has two very distinct sides or halves, the light and the dark. The light is very much pop and electronic leaning as well as exploring musical styles from around the world, the dark heads back towards the heavier and more metal end of the scale. Both sides have their own intro track ('Future Metal' for the light, 'In The Name Of' for the dark ... and when you react to that please make sure you get the Legend S Baptism XX performance - you will have never seen a concert opening anything like it).

Good start. This song was a collab with Tim Henson and Scotty LaPage of Polyphia! Great reaction! One of my absolute favourites... it is my alarm every morning. There is something about the more chill nature of this song that I really vibe with... almost has an 80's esque feel to it. Love this performance... Su's vocals during the Legend Metal Galaxy concerts are absolutely phenomenal, Moa and Riho completely owning the choreo, the Kami Band doing Kami Band things, the visuals on the massive screens... Great! I think that at this stage of the journey you will comment more often on the choreography... In early career songs, the fans seem to be part of the musical arrangement, there are many moments marked for participation and the fans really participate. Now the songs are more to watch. They mix consecrated hits (which had the fans' special moments) with new songs, in setlists that are hardly repeated. In that sense, each show is "unique"...

This is a collab with the two guitarists of Polyphia.

For me that was one of the surprise hits on the album. I had never heard Polyphia before, but I love the progressive, rhythmically complex sound, and Su's voice sounds great and fits perfectly. It has become one of my favourite songs on the album.

This album is about BabyMetal exploring new metal galaxies so be ready for some very awesome travels by these ladies and their Kami’s to genres that you would never expect them to visit. And they are magnificent.

"It's gonna be ok, alright"... can't help but believe it when Su says it...The lyrics is so full of positivity... Just step by step, day by day... if it rains just stop and take a break, keep moving forward, no need to worry, it's a brand new day... just some of the messages/lyrics in the song. Love the shadow dancing they are doing against huge ass screen. They are very much a live performance band like you said, so when ppl compare them to other bands like Band Maid, Nemophila, Lovebite, is a wrong comparison imo. 🤘🦊🤘

This song has been so far performed only 3 times on stage. Very fortunately I witnessed all of them. Please say "Lucky you!" ヽ(^o^)丿Especially this world premiere on Jan.25, 2020 was stunning. Normally BABYMETAL fans would like to see the girls' dance moves as well as their charming facial expressions clearly. But we could see only their silhouettes then and .... that was enough. Kami Band's paly was full of elegance, figures of Moa & Riho were exquisite and, more importantly, Su's voice had celestial beauty. (I love the combination of Moa and Riho) And two performances done on Day-7 & 8 of 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN concerts last year were also beautiful with another Avenger, Momoko. Thanks again from Japan.

The OG will always hold a special place for me. My favourite album of all time though is the Japanese edition of Metal Galaxy. The diversity is just incredible and the artistic visuals a wonder. Stunning stuff and they were able to express much subtler and mature feelings than before. That whole album has no skips for me, with the exception of the two intro songs that I rarely skip anyway for album continuity

Hey this is a surprise upload😊 welcome to the metal galaxy gmg!🎉 Babymetal had always toed the line perfectly between pop and metal and thats what gave them a crossover appeal across fans of both music genres. But in this album they leaned in more towards the poppy elements while paying homage to music cultures around the world. I guess maybe thats why some fans were let down by their new sound in this album, expecting a more traditional dark and heavy instrumental instead of a modern but bright metal sound. Personally it was off putting for me at first, having been used to the sound of the first two albums and was craving for more like what was in metal resistance. If it wasn’t for this song brand new day, and the trilogy of lights, i would have still been iffy about this album.😊 And queen su said they wanted to destroy the ‘mold’ that they got boxed into so maybe thats the point of this album, travelling around the ‘metal galaxy’ and trying new sounds.😊

7:31 it's great and they are reliable. But more important: they have the convinced to deliver it, because if you don't do it right, it's gonna be noticeable. Some have said this is a Polyphia song (because they provided the guitar parts) and with Japanese vocals. Babymetal live is best Babymetal for certain ! That's also the reason they struggled so much during the pandemic because the restrictions made their activities deficit. And yeah, I never expected to have any interest in a choreo as well and I never saw it coming. Kudos to Riho Sayashi, the avenger this time. She's a great performer and she did an amazing job. Notice that the Kami Band members are wearing their "traditional" white robes instead of their period correct black clothing. This is relevant and the reason (which I'm not going to spoil) is on the encores of both Legend Metal Galaxy shows: "Road of Resistance" on Day 1 and "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" on Day 2. Until next time!

I really enjoy Brand New Day. They mixed in a lot of different genres for the METAL GALAXY album, but certainly didn't let it compromise the quality. Diversifying their music like this while staying within the overarching sound of Metal is, I think, a great and unique thing for both us and them. There is a song for every mood, taste or situation. It must be a rewarding experience for Su and Moa to explore and develop their capabilities in singing and dancing, not to mention for rest of the team. BABYMETAL was created to revitalize a genre that had gotten stale and that's exactly what they keep doing.

Yeah when I heard it for the first time it sounded like AD CM song, but girls polished it up, this girls are really devoted and talented.

Those snaps - their placement isn't always where you'd expect... I actually think the studio version of this track is far superior to the live version. It really needs all the studio production to show off Polyphia's contribution. (The whole sound of the track will make more sense if you've heard some of Polyphia's material - I think you'll dig it.) The METAL GALAXY album is split into two parts, the light side and the dark side.The complete Japanese edition was released on two discs to emphasis the point. Brand New Day is on the light side, which you picked up from the track's uplifting vibe. The album also pulls in influences from around the 'galaxy', so it's kind of a loose concept, even though the tracks aren't directly connected. You're gonna have a wild ride with the different influences on this one. Some people don't like the record because it'snot 'brvtal', but it's by far their best record to date in terms of composition and inventiveness. Also be aware that the Japanese and International editions of the album have several differences. There are two additional tracks on the Japanese version, ↑↓←→BBAB (light side) and BxMxCx (dark side), and there's an English language version of Elevator Girl on the International edition with quite different lyrics to the Japanese version.
