Metal fans that say Babymetal is a gimmick are completely ignoring the fact that half the music in metal could be considered a gimmick if we're keeping it real. The fact is, is that Babymetal are one of the more interesting things happening in metal right now and are bringing people to metal that probably ordinarily wouldn't be interested. And, as you said, they are amazing live, especially in their full arena shows, which are some of the best live shows being performed in the world today (when COVID isn't ruining shit anyway). Plus their albums are just packed with bad-assery.
People who don't take them seriously, all they have to do is go to a Babymetal concert and if that doesn't change their minds, well they're just idiots. Crazy mosh pits, you guys would know from Good Things hahah that was a crazy day! Can't wait til we can start going overseas again, I need my Babymetal concert fix hahah.

Until there is official confirmation, I'm still going with "Bring Moa Chicken". In an interview in the Japanese magazine PMC, this was literally the first question: Q1: How’re you feeling now? Moa: Hungry! I need fried chickens.
Like every single one of their songs, this one is not typical for the album. There's some very poppy stuff on there, but all of it is very well done. I have been a metalhead all my life, and some of the poppier songs are among my favourites. I like to tell metalheads this after watching BxMxC, so they don't think that the latest album must be really heavy and end up disappointed. It's at least as much of a mixture of styles as the previous ones. But that's what makes it great. We already have enough of that same old Metal. I was surprised myself how much the choreography adds to the fun. I have never been into dancing, and in general I'm still not. But in BABYMETAL's live shows it plays a huge role in getting the crowd as excited as they do, which in turn pumps up the band even more. It's a circle that leads to the amazing experiences that BABYMETAL live shows are.
The song is titled "Baby X Metal X Cypher" (Hence BxMxC) 9 times out of 10 they like to make their X's silent in that title... All of that video was a Cypher as if it was a Rap cypher battle, With Tekina the boss with the mask. He was supposed to be portrayed as the demonic voice going "B...M....C" Babymetal is a fantastic band, and very overlooked. Absolutely in love with BabyMetal... Love the genuine Reaction guys
Good reaction - and if you saw them at the Good Things festival you don't need me to tell you how good they are live. As far as a gimmick - the girls are doing what they always did before they started BABYMETAL, they are singing songs and doing dance routines, no gimmick there - if there was a gimmick it was adding metal instrumentation to what they do.

@@johnnyneedham9831 Hopefully you can see them in Japan one day. It's crazy, the concerts themselves are huge, but the whole day is just a huge Babymetal festival, fans will be hanging around the arena all day. If you don't know, there's no lining up in Japan for Babymetal concerts, it is done with a lottery system. You get assigned a section and number and you can just walk right up and in when it is time, no waiting necessary. So no need to stand around in line for a good spot. But it also means you have no say on whether you're up the front, or way at the back hahah. But it doesn't matter where you end up anyway, you just mosh the whole time (at least that's what I do hahah)

So you were at the Good Things festival ? I got the impression it was considered one of the best crowd responses for a band at those 3 festivals days, regardless of how hot it was. I think we can all agree Babymetal is not your regular metal band, but they are heavy and they bring something new to metal. Yes, some might not enjoy it. But their are a lot of metalheads that don't like every single metal genre/band. And that's OK. :-)

I hope just like everyone that this worldwide situation won’t put a permanent stopper on these kinds of experiences. When they started it was like a gimmick that they had metal elements. Then it just became “oh… no were just a metal group now… yeah no we bought into metal whole ass” legendary.
