As Su was 16 here and Yui and Moa were 14 1/2, they had to go back to school a few weeks after this, where they all probably won the 1st prize in the "What I did on my December holidays" essay.
@@aurora_carpryne now yes but this concert was originally held on Su's 16th birthday you can even see Happy Birthday shaved on the bassists head if you pay attention.
At a Babymetal concert you'll get a surreal mixture of brutal fun and controlled chaos that makes for an unforgettable experience. They'll be touring the states beginning at the end of August, I have my tickets do you have yours?🦊🤘
Welcome back. As mentioned in the comments already the song is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but also realising that, now she is 15, life will never be the same and she will no longer be considered as a child. The neck brace (you saw that when they put it on Su-metal when they performed 'BABYMETAL Death' at this same show) first appeared in the official video for 'Headbanger'. It is just one of the ways they pay homage to Yoshiki - not their own drummer. Yoshiki is the founder, drummer, pianist and main composer with the legendary Japanese metal band X Japan - it was him who damaged his neck headbanging and needed surgery. He is a living legend in Japan.
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。Can you believe that this is the 12th song after 11 exhausting performance (and still 2 more) even if this was filmed in 2013 when they were mid-teens? The crowd's mass headbanging occurs wherever BM goes on this planet. In your video, you heard the crowd shout some words at 04:37. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!" (addressed to crybabies in the metal concert). This crowd's shout in Japanese occurs whenever Su-Metal turns her mic towards the audience in any country. I witnessed this song performed live 11 times at venues. Did I do headbang? Oh yes. ✌ 😍
Oh hell yeah, I have that exact same Orbit Culture shirt! Fuck yeah!! Great video...this is such a fun band. I'll be seeing them in Vegas and then Dethklok. Can't wait!
Su's 16th birthday was the day before this concert, Yui and Moa are 14. At this point they had been on stage for about an hour. As to the crowd they are famous for their ability for crowd control. Including festivals crowds that are not just a Babymetal crowd. This just few months before their international breakout at the Sonisphere festival in England. Something to keep in mind, they have been performing on stage since they were 6 yo, individually. With Su and Yui Baby models when they were really young. They are professionals!!! This is not the end of the concert. Last perfromance Babymetal "Death". Next, a new release - "Monochrome" 2 versions Their "full roar metal" and their perfromance on The First Take!! Same song but each very different.
Welcome back to the Foxhole and BabyMetal journey.🦊🤘🔥 Glad to see you're back, it's been a while, a lot of things happened since your last reaction, they got a new album released in March along with new singles and a new official member, say welcome to MomoMetal. Another great reaction, and just like you saw the party on BM live concerts is wild, especially with this song becoming super fun into something like a cult.👀 Last month they started the Sabaton's Europe Tour, everyone is having a blast with them coming back to the stage in this live tour and more is coming such the Babyklok Tour in the US along with Dethklok and another return to UK and Europe for a headline tour. You got this partially right, lemme tell you more about this. Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! is one of BM fans favorite and got special meaning too. Song is about a 15 years old girl celebrating her birthday going to her first live concert, probably metal, while having melancholy for leaving her childhood behind. Isn't about any of our girls but they embraced this song like it was made for them, you'll find many special versions of this, even when they celebrate their 20th Birthday. 15 is an important coming of age for Japanese girls, 20 is another important date. This was at Legend 1997 (that's the title of this live concert referring to SuMetal birthyear and is the same concert you saw them performing Gimme Chocolate!!) in 2013 celebrating SuMetal 16th Birthday, and the whole concert was special, if you want to know the rest of the songs finishing this, those are: - "Akatsuki" Unfinished Version, a beautiful SuMetal solo version with only a piano behind, the original song is a power/speed metal balad - "Babymetal Death", be ready for this insane ending, The live concert and also this song got plenty of tributes to the greatest metal bands, like Metallica and X-Japan, specially Yoshiki, the gong at the end is one of those, you'll find more and plenty of this to add to their lore. The official MV is also creepy for some fans, I guess the organ gave that effect, you'll also see the neckbrace there for the first time which is a tribute to Yoshiki from X-Japan. Another thing that you don't see so much here in their live performance is, when YuiMetal and MoaMetal are having fun with cryo or smoke gun, the choreography on this part is with them down on their knees and doing the "dogeza hedoban" which is like bowing down back and forth summoning the metal spirit represented by the neckbrace while SuMetal is standing with the mic rise up and her relentless death stare, that's another moment we called -NotACult- The Kami Band here are insane set of elite musicians who were send to help with the metal sound, "kami" means roughly "god", they're wearing burial white robes and corpse face paint to represent those spiritual entities. They rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarrists). They are: - Míkio Fujioka, god of guitar, a beloved member, sadly he passed away in 2018. (R.I.P.) - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums tracks. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. You can see at the end (when SuMetal is crawling upstairs) his head got written "Happy Birthday". - Hideki Aoyama,, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japan music scene. I would love if you can go with the rest of the songs of this special live concert but if you want another song that ranks high as a favorite you can watch: - _"Ijime Dame Zettai"_ live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 and you can witness a turning point in their career and a different type of live performance unlike this one with big top notch production. Keep coming back with more BM songs. See you next time!🦊🤘🔥
I think you guys may enjoy checking out some of their newer stuff. They recently released a new album "The Other One", and are currently touring in Europe with Sabaton. "Mirror mirror" has quickly become one of my favorites, or if you would like to hear a different side of Babymetal, and glory in the beauty of Sumetal's exquisite voice, they did an acoustic version of "Monochrome" for "The First Take" youtube channel. It is jaw-droppingly good.
i thought TOO was a concept album for momoko. since they already had their ten year release in 2020? maybe im incorrect. but the lyrics to the songs always refer to another member (momoko) and light and darkness. pls correct if needed. thanks!
@DOLLCORE concept album being planned well before Momoko was made offical member .i belive Monochrome had been done 5 years ago, and they had been sat on it . I will be correct with right song if i am wrong 😁🤘🏼🦊
@@martinmetal7481 yes monochrome was written when yui was still in the band. but i didn’t think that necessarily meant that the whole album at the time was a concept album
👍 👍 If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine. They have over 50 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more. Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.) Suggest reacting to these for a start. Karate LIVE at 2016 Download Festival in the UK where 60,000+ British metal heads sing along with the girls. Megitsune LIVE at Budokan 2021 Syncopation LIVE Yava LIVE with Kami Band intro at 2017 Fox Festival Road of Resistance LIVE in Japan Tales of the Destinies LIVE Catch Me If You Can LIVE with Kami Band intro At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member. Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles. Good luck and hope to see you again.
The crowd at a Babymetal show is an integral part of the performance because they are an active participant in the show. When you go to a show full of kitsune, they all know the calls and responses, the chants and the actions, and everyone does their part to make the show go off. The ultimate version of this experience is to go and see Babymetal in Japan, because them performing live in a stadium in front of thousands of their most passionate home fans takes that crowd element to the next level.
You should watch Headbanger with Moa Metal singing part of the lead. They are in their 20s and their talents have blossomed. Su was a princess of metal... now she's a QUEEN ❗️ 🤘🦊🤘

Yeah Babymetal is the sum of many moving parts really, with the main focus being on the ladies who are incredible stage performers. Each performance is so layered and a complete experience .. they are usually telling a story, which is reinforced lime by line through the choreography. I like to call it controlled chaos. It all looks so random and wild .. but every single detail.. every move, etc, is very planned, deliberate, and probably rehearsed dozens and dozens and dozens of times. I think you folks would really love their new stuff. The music, as always. Is top notch and experimental and genre mixing and bending .. the choreography has less running and jumping but has become very graceful, refined, with lots of extremely quick movements and timing. Definitely more difficult, like a traditional dance troupe. It's all truly amazing to me! I'm seeing them my first time back to back in Houston and Dallas this August. Couldn't be more excited!
The drummer they are referring to is not their drummer. It is in honor of Yoshiki of X Japan which BABYMETAL has many references too. I am sure someone will leave you a list of things like making the X when introducing themselves.
After I first watched this video, I thought to myself, "It's a good thing Japanese architects design structures with earthquakes in mind because when you get like ten thousand people jumping up and down at the same time, your building going to undergo some serious strain!" By the way, I'll be the first to say that BABYMETAL is best served live but I wouldn't dismiss several of their music videos which are, in my opinion, real works of art ("Doki Doki Morning", "Iine!", "Megitsune", "Karate", and "BxMxC" are my personal favs). Perhaps you could look into reacting to them. KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
Headbanger is also a pun. The girl in the story heading to the concert is a headbanger. I Japanese, headbanger sounds like head-ban-gurl. A ban-gurl (band-girl) is a female fan of a band; like a PG13 groupie. She is the head band-girl and a headbanger
Hey you two Hardcore here again with a band I'd like to see you check out to see what you think. Carnal Savagery Return of the Rotten Dead and Inhumane Sacrifice are the two songs. I think you'll enjoy Hard as hell pure Savagery carnal and raw look forward to seeing your reactions...
Is there a better option to start the day with Rush or Babymetal? The only Metal band that puts a smile on your face and smack it at the same moment haha. Guitar solo: Mikio Fujioka (R.I.P). I guess that no other band has crowd like these, maybe except you tour in South America maybe. Greets from Germany. Enjoy!
Awesome, Baby-Metal is a trip. Japanese metal audiences become a part of the show, it's pretty unreal, and everyone is onboard. You should check out Aldious, another awesome Japanese metal band. Sweet Temptation, We Are, Monster, all good ones to start with.
Next you should do, in order to truly hit the fox hole is: BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL). This was their first concert out of Japan and arguably the turning point from being a sort of strange Japanese band to hitting the west. This one accidental concert changed it all for them and totally worth the watch. They weren't even supposed to be on the big stage, but here they were...three girls suddenly finding themselves looking at 60k curious brits wondering what the hell was going on...and they won over a ton of them. Oh, and if it matters, it basically is an anti-bully song..if you care about the theme of the music being said.
This is my favorite babymetal live performance ever. Everything about it is amazing. Also I'm glad you noticed the crowd and stuff. The crowd and crowd control is insane.
Why SuMetal have that death stare: I stand her like an idiot holding up THIS mic 🎤 up while THOSE two have fun with those fog thingys…. Of course she’ll be pissed 😂😂😂
The energy level is why babymetal is my go to workout music. If you haven't, you should throw Hanabie "we love sweets" onto your future watch list... you don't need to worry about copyright with them like you do with babymetal. I think you'd dig it.

I´ve checked your channel and I haven´t seen reactions on there to Lovebites and Nemophila. I would recommend you do that, I think it´s right up your alley. Lovebites is mostly power metal and some thrash, while Nemophila is something like punk metal if that´s a thing.
Yeah, the band is awesome, but how about some love for the three hardest-working girls in show business? The cardio-vascular fitness of those three is off the charts…
I think you need to react to the office videos also to compare the songs. i think it would have been better to watch office video first then the live performance videos.
Your comments/reaction is over the top. I don't know how in depth your knowledge goes but the girls, band and organization is so awesome. Jump down the fox hole and enjoy. One love ❤️ from Texas USA.Just to add, can you imagine 8 songs like this per concert!!!!!?
from japan I'm glad you listened to BABYMETAL I love myself Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! There are also many more crazy songs, so be sure to listen to them.
Yeah i saw them recently as an opening act to Sabaton. I didnt know them up to that date but the (live) show is actually really good. The music is really hyping you up and you notice that their show has A LOT of effort put into it. Even tho i probably wont be going out of my way to listen to them on Spotify or looking them up i liked it - way more than i should have - .
Man imagine having the amount of stage presence that they had when they were just teenagers. It's so insane, and I think we will never see such powerful performances from human beings so young again.
Babymetal concerts are the most energetic performances I have ever seen, these girls run all around and the crowd is always hyped up, I have never seen a low energy crowd at Babymetal concerts.
seen them live 4 times at different musical festivals. their moshpits are so much more violent and intense than fucking cannibal corpse or trivium or even fucking lamb of god.
