"Karate" premiered at Yokohama Arena on December 12, 2015. Directed by Daisuke Ninomiya, the music video for "Karate" was released on 18 March 2016. Moa Metal explained that the lyrics are about never giving up and always moving forward, no matter what difficulties need to be endured. Furthermore, Yui Metal described how the dance moves were made to help express the message of the song, as most of the lyrics were in Japanese. Moa Metal expressed that "Karate" is her favorite song in the 2nd album, explaining how "karate has a courtesy: "Start with a bow and end with a bow." This is something important we value in our lives, because we never forget courtesy and a feeling of gratitude wherever we go." Su Metal described the white figures in the video as representing their former selves, expressing the desire to break down barriers by fighting themselves to move forward. Moa Metal added that "karate is obviously a form of martial arts that originated from Japan, so it’s something that she’s very proud of that they are now representing this culture that came from Japan through their music, and it’s a way for more people outside of Japan also to learn what karate is all about."
Great reaction - MrOsclasses has said nearly everything I was about to say, so that's good. I'll just add that it rained so hard that weekend some people renamed the festival 'Drownload'. BABYMETAL had a 40 minute delay before they could go on stage because it was raining so hard - there is a photo of their producer sweeping water off the stage so they could go on and to try and make it a bit more safe for them to perform and do all their choreo etc while all the equipment had plastic covers draped over it. When they did finally get on stage it bucketed down again while they were playing. There was a video of some members of Korn looking very wet saying they had been stood out in the rain just to watch the BABYMETAL set.
BabyMetal is just beautiful, tough, and inspirational. You have the best reactions to the female power they display with your enthusiasm.. The whole "I can be cute and powerful" makes them special. When they show up, they own the scene.
Awesome reaction to an amazing song! This performance has some history to it (if I am remembering correctly). The people running Download Festival had heard of BABYMETAL and how they played at Sonisphere (also in the UK) in 2014, and they said they would never invite them to play at Download. In 2015, the band DragonForce, who had collaborated with BABYMETAL on the girls' song "Road of Resistance" actually snuck them in onstage with them, playing "Gimme Chocolate" and possibly "Road of Resistance" as well. The crowd LOVED them so much that it forced the show-runners' hands and they invited BABYMETAL for 2016, which they accepted as you saw. They have gone back to Download every year since, I believe. As for the song itself, I love this version because it shows how well Su can play with and control a crowd. I've said it before and I will continue to say it: she has Freddie Mercury levels of crowd control and playing with them. To have that level when she was only 18 at this show (she had it before that) is insane! All that being said, the music video for this song is absolutely beautiful and should be watched. It's seriously a piece of art. The message of the song, which you'll get when you see the video, is overcoming adversity and your own inner-demons to succeed when you have doubts in your abilities, but sometimes you need help from friends and family to do that. It's just one of many songs by them that have an amazing message behind it. You've moved up to 2016 in the BABYMETAL calendar, so now it's time to hit up one of their newer songs. Here are a couple suggestions: "Pa Pa Ya" Feat. F. Hero - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oO7Y8NsnkRg.html "Distortion" Live at Download 2018 - This one takes place during the year that Yui was absent before officially leaving the band in October of that year. They kill it, as always, but there was a lot happening for them that made 2018 a "year from hell" as many fans call it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FzgU3W5ZgzU.html "BxMxC" - I'm going to include two links to this. The first is to a pro-shot live version from their Legend Metal Galaxy performance that was just released on Blu-Ray last month. The second is to their brand new music video for the song, that just came out last week! Here they are: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wCDFzmrDYKw.html and the MV: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ng8mh6JUIqY.html
Dragonforce and Babymetal performed at the Golden God awards the next day, both songs. At Download it was just Gimme Choco, with some audio difficulties.
The official music video for this song is amazing. I would recommend watching that one. Official videos for Distortion, Starlight, and BMC are a must in my opinion. Oh and BTW, Babymetal is the first Asian band in history to hit the number 1 spot on Billboards Top Albums chart in 2019 for Metal Galaxy here in the US.
Nice reaction & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。As you can see, it was raining very hard. Equipment and effectors boxes on the stage were covered and floor was all over wet. BABYMETAL could have aborted the performance and gone back to the hotel but they didn't because the huge huge crowd was waiting and no one left the venue. The girls never modified their choreo even on the slippery stage (You can actually see Su-Metal, the lead singer, slipping lightly at 02:41 in your video. ). On the contrary, Yui and Moa threw themselves onto the wet floor and BOH, bassist, jumped with the girls to cheer up everyone there. Those scenes moves me to tears. Please continue to explore BABYMETAL.
What is amazing about this performance, is it was in front of the British heavy metal fans. They are notorious for letting bands know, if they don't like them. They are fiercely defendant of heavy metal music, what is or is not metal. The girls who were unknown to these metal fans, came out and owned the crowd. They were supposed to be on a side stage, but shortly before the show got moved to center stage. The rain didn't stop them, and the crowd loved them chanting for more. If that's not a boss move, from these tiny ladies then I don't know what is.
I just noticed that Moametal was crying at the very end. Kurisutah, you're reactions are very exciting to watch. Because you are expressing how some of us felt when we watch BM. Keep up the good work.
hey there! wow thank you. I am sure happy to hear this. and I am doing the best I can to post rections of them, Amuse is so damn strict. Thanks and be back for the next one please
@@Kurisutah I heard that laying over a logo over the video would work. There's a video somewhere here that specifically teaches you how to deal with BM videos being blocked. Good luck and keep up the good work. 8-)
Ahhh, if only we could hold the time of this show hostage, to have Mikio and Yuki together with the band. I still love what BabyMetal is today, but will always cherish these times for what they were. Not living in the past, but grateful for these recorded memories. May BabyMetal continue to grow, even through these strange times without touring, and to make more memories for everyone. Looking forward to when we can see them again on stage!
Another great reaction, thank you very much for reacting to them again. I am pretty sure the longtime Kitsunes of The One will accompany you with their knowledge on your wonderful journey down the foxhole. Much love and respect from a german Kitsune to Down Under 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Uy Babymetal fan din ako. Nice to know they’re popular with Pinoys din. Too bad didn’t get to see them live here in Manila kasi Pulp Summerslam was cancelled
@@brownbeat0721 Kaya nga eh. Actually i had my ticket since December pa, na refund ko naman Pulp did a great job. Hoping to see them in the future.. MOA-METAL at MOA Arena LOL
Krisutah !-----so far, you re the ONLY react-er I have seen who actually enlarged the view of the performers, making your own space less . WELL DONE !!!-----none of the others could deal with their egotism !----some even had the performers' area about 0ne TENTH of their own . Ok---so they all wish they were famous performers. ....BUT they are NOT ! The performers are the stars of the show---NOT someone just reacting. so---------------ThankYou !
Thank you for the fun reaction. You are looking at it in a very good order. If you look at the song order in which you can feel their growth, you will be impressed many times later. The next recommendation is "ijme dame zettai live in sonisphere" commented by others. Others will explain the background of this live performance. If you know it, you will cry.
Great reaction, the atmosphere at their live shows in Japan is another level if you compare it it to this performance. You should check out Road of Resistence live in Japan or Headbanger at Legend 1997 to get a feeling of these shows.
今日も素敵なリアクションを見せてくれてありがとう💖 これからもベイビーメタルや日本の文化を楽しんでね 😄✨ Thank you for showing me a wonderful reaction today💖 Please continue to enjoy Babymetal and Japanese culture 😄✨
Great reaction have been a Babymetal fan for 9 years , I love the band so much , there not been a day that has gone by in 9 years that I haven’t listened to 4 or 5 songs of Babymetal, yui is my Babymetal Angel, I went to BabyMetal concert Brisbane Australia 2018 great concert was absolutely fantastic 🦊🦊🦊
Great reaction! I’ve seen them twice, 02 Brixton Academy, London July 2019 and Eventim Apollo, London February 2020. They are AWESOME live!!! I do hope you get a chance to see them live. Take care
Good reaction . Karate one of best song from Metal Resistance album . Next, please reaction BABYMETAL - Uki Uki Midnight live at budokan . That's great and give much fun 😁
What a great way to start my day. Girl, I love your reaction. You need watch Headbangher or Megitsune live! Are absolutely Amazing and crazy! See you in the next 🤟🏻 🦊 🎶 🖤
Some little details: 3:13 "she sounds so good" while dancing and kicking on a wet stage. You can see her struggle and her facial expression at 2:39 2:46 4:10 I've always been of the opinion it would have been better to tell the audience to sing along, now it was up to the hardcore fans who had seen this live before to start the participation. 5:22 the working name of this part was: "the Mariah" as in Mariah Carey. It didn't really end up sounding like her, but it was part of the inspiration at first.
Hello, how are you doing? I have not checked out many BabyMetlel reactions of late. Metal Galaxy is a good album but the recent videos have not really grabbed me. The video for BxMxC, is the first video to feature Moa and Su, since the Karate music video. Yes, I know they have been in recent videos but they are just live clips hashed together with cheap video effects, in my view.
@@Glynthepin I'm OK, working from home all this time. I had done this before, but never for this long. Actually because we guessed it would be like this, we've even stopped using the office at work and stopped paying rent for it. I hope you are well. Yes, finally a real MV ! Obviously they had one for Distortion and Starlight. But without the girls because of the Yuimetal situation. BxMxC is now also an international single. So you can get it on Spotify, etc. I think Babymetal really wanted to do some kind of 10 year anniversary shows. But you know... live shows with audience aren't really much of a thing right now. I hope they come up with something at some point when things go back to normal again.
I tried to see this performance but my wife couldn't get the time off work :( One of the things I love about Babymetal is that they are all about empowering other women
Nice reaction!! The download festival is dramatic as the rain gets tighter and tighter towards the end of the song. Many of BABYMETAL's songs, especially the early ones, are about the feelings of a teenager. I'm sure you've seen the official video, so you may have noticed, the person these girls were fighting was themselves. Karate is a song about fighting with myself. All of BABYMETAL's songs are quite different and all of them are representative of their music. I hope you enjoy the variety of songs (all of them if possible). It's a little different from the last one I recommended, but I chose a song that I think you'll like. - BABYMETAL - いいね!- Iine! (OFFICIAL) - BABYMETAL - ド・キ・ド・キ☆モーニング - Doki Doki☆Morning (OFFICIAL) - BABYMETAL - メギツネ - MEGITSUNE (OFFICIAL) - BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL) - BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL) I hope you continue to enjoy your BABYMETAL. Put your Kitsune🦊 up! from Japan. (Translation by DeepL) PS. ときどき日本語の単語をしゃべるとき発音がきれいですが、日本語できるんですか?? Sometimes, when you speak Japanese words, your pronunciation is beautiful. Do you speak Japanese?😃
Hahaha it wonderful to see young teens sing about fighting themselves, empowering other teens. I wasn't strong and empowering as them when I was their age. (Unfortunately 🙄) On the other note, thanks for the compliment. I do not speak Japanese but know a some expressions ONLY hahah
Nice reaction. I don't know when you got your hair done, but you look absolutely beautiful. Either way, great reaction. I enjoy watching your reactions as you have this purity with your reactions. They're very organic. As you stated you really like Su's voice, might I recomment you try watching Rondo of Nightmare, or No Rain, No Rainbow? These songs really show her talent much better than this song. I'm not putting this song down at all, its a great song, but it doesn't really showcase her talent as much. Anyhow, hope you're staying safe in this pandemic time!
Just to inform you, when they performed at UK Download Festival 2016, its raining but their performance and energy level didn't even decreased a bit. Suggestion lang po. Pwede po next video nyo po is Road of Resistance? Ung crowd interaction kasi nila dito was so insane. They unified 22,000 (diko sure) to sing along with them. Ingat din po ate sa copyright claims pag eto irereact mo, kung pwede pause lang ng pause para di mablock hehe toh kasi ung madalas mablock ihh Stay metal at keep safe mga kitsune!
Thank you for your reactions of Japanese brave band. This is the first time they play in a huge live abroad. Please watch the same live's performance〝ijime dame, zettai〟means no bullying forever, it's uncool but verry cool isn't it? These performances made many metal fans who made fan of them as a piece of shit recognized,I think. 〝Lord of resistance〟feat.dragon force and 〝rondo of nightmare〟are also amazing performance. Please check it out. Sorry for my poor English. with love from Japan🦊
It is years of training that makes Su-Metals voice so good. When she is just singing with passion it isn't actually that good, and when passion let her throw technique out the window I think her voice doesnt last more than a couple of songs. A good example of this is when she was preforming Painkiller and Breaking the law at her 20:th birthday. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lcdm3br1bd0.html I am not complaining because you can see in her eyes she is having the best time of her life on that stage, and it is her birthday. But it shows she is human after all.
You should react to their music video to Doki Doki morning it’s their first song and the video is cuteness overload where Yui and Moa are so young and adorable
The biggest BABYMETAL News is not a new BABYMETAL Song but one by "Bring Me The Horizon" that features BABYMETAL and is getting a lot of Reactions. Bring Me The Horizon - Kingslayer (Lyric Video) ft. BABYMETAL
Please react to Band-Maid. Any of there songs. I think you will enjoy there upbeat music. Live versions are better but the MVs are also good. Ones I recommend are "Play", "Domination", "Freedom" from their official channel. The Feb 2020 Live version
⚡ 💀 💕 / 👻 👻 👻 And… that's why this was the featured single from the second album. : ) They made a lot of friends among other metal groups by playing a bunch of festival dates, and this song converted quite a few. Like a lot of BABYMETAL songs, this one has a very positive message about facing life's challenges. The video does a great job expressing the sense of the song, but if you're curious, here's a translation: du-metal.blogspot.com/2015/12/karate.html And for something a little different from what you've heard so far, here's a solo song from Su-metal (Su). This is 'Rondo of Nightmare' from the Budokan Black Night concert, with a short lead-in instrumental by the Kami Band. It's from 2014 when she was only sixteen, but it's still a classic performance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8WBDiLMNZcE.html
Ok. You've done a few Baby Metal songs and by all means keep going down the fox hole with them. I highly suggest headbanger. However, now you need to expand your Japanese girl rock band experience with, quite possibly, the best rock band on the planet right now...Band Maid! Pick any song they literally do not have a bad song. I would suggest a live video over a studio MV only because in a live vid you get to experience just how great a performer the ladies are.
hi , I would like to know your reaction about Iranian music Have you ever listened to Iranian music? singer : mohsen Yeganeh Song : I promise you A great pop music Singer: Yas Song: az chi begam ( what can I say ) A deep rap music Singer : sirvan khosravi Song: I love life An energetic pop music If you want me to give you a RU-vid link to the songs ?
