Probably the iconic version of this song. I love the raw energy and enthusiasm from the early years. I'd always recommend going for the live from the period the song was originally released so for others from the earlier part of their career I'd suggest: Headbanger Legend of Apocalypse 1997 4k. The 4K version doesn't have the audio drops Catch Me If You Can live compilation on the KuroKiitsuneSama channel which is possibly the heaviest musically from their early days and also features an intro with the Kami Band soloing. NB. this is a compilation but is one of the better versions. There's lots to choose from.
Nice one, thanks! Yes, "Road of Resistance" is an anthemic and uplifting song. And a hell of a show closer like in this particular occasion. They totally know how to put on a great show, not only a concert. They are very theatrical and seeing one of their live performances is quite an experience. Their mosh pits are called mosh'sh pits. It's a friendlier and safer version although I know two people who ended up in the hospital after a BABYMETAL show. 😅 Until next time! 🤘🦊
Welcome back to the Foxhole.🦊🤘🍕 You said the title right but you write it wrong, is not PATH❌ ROAD Of Resistance is definitely an epic anthem and fans love to mosh'sh and have fun when this song is playing live, Japanese fans in general are respectful and when doing wall of death and circle pit they're taking care of not harm each other, thou accidents occurs here and there. Stay tuned next May 23, another special new collab along with Electric Callboy is coming, they released a cool teaser but don't look for any music snippet yet. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
You definitely need to react to their song 'Monochrome', the PIA Arena concert version is a great live version, and then the Monochrome piano ver. from The First Take channel to really hear how great her voice is..
Welcome back.🦊This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su-metal (lead vocalist) was 17, Yuimetal and Moametal only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. BABYMETAL mosh pits (in Japan at least) are more friendly and safer than what you seem to have experienced ... for a start the people in them are there to enjoy themselves and the music, they're not deliberately jumping in to hurt people.😕 This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. They have said they made this more technical and faster than most of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live ... and that they had to practice hard when they did perform it with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London later in 2015. This was the Kami Band (BABYMETAL's backing band for all live shows) playing live, each one of them is a world class musician. In this concert the Kami Band were Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars (Takayoshi has the glitter pink guitar) with BOH on his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. The "changes" you said you had been told about - at the end of 2017 Yuimetal had health issues (undisclosed) that prevented her from performing and, after a 12 month absence, in October 2018 she announced she was still not fully recovered and had decided to leave the band. The guitarist you were told about was Mikio Fujioka (RIP). He was star gazing and fell from an observation platform. He died from his injuries a few days later on 5th January 2018. He was a much loved and revered member of the Kami Band and a huge loss for so many more reasons than his genius on the guitar. He was not playing in this particular performance - the Kami band members would swap in and out depending on their availability.
( I think your reaction is behind to the vid about 12 seconds. when you count down the vid has been playing 12 seconds already) Mosh'sh pit is a safe pit.
Great reaction! Definitely check out more. I'd recommend Distortion, PaPaYa, Metali, Catch Me If You Can, Headbanger *the live legend 97 version*, Megitsune, Starlight, Shine, Arkadia. All of their stuff is great and the love is always better. The agency Amuse is very quick to copyright things, so you may want to throw a giant BabyMetal logo over the videos you react to, or react to the ones from the "BabyMetal reactor Resource".
